Kangxi's original name was Aixinjueluo Xuanye. He's the 3rd son of Shun Zhi and the 2nd emperor of the Qing Dynasty. Kangxi was crowned when he was 7. As he was too young to handle court affairs at that time, four ministers made the main decisions. They are namely: Ao Bai, Sukesaha , Suoni.

In year 1667, when Kangxi was 13, he decided to start taking back control from the four ministers. He regarded the task of surpressing the Ming supporters and unifying the Qing dynasty his main task. Kangxi issued a decree in 1673, when he was 19, to remove the power of the 3 vassal states under the control of Wu Sangui, Shang Kexi and Geng Jingzhong. KAngxi spent 8 long years before he finally won them.

His next admirable achievement would be the inclusion of Taiwan under the direct adminstration of the Qing government. Taiwan was the last stronghold of the Ming supporters. By taking over it, Kangxi has reduce the power of the rebels considerably.

Kangxi's rule had built a strong foundation for the Qing dynasty and he is regarded as one of the best emperors in the entire course of the dynasty.

Kangxi died at the age of 69 due to illness.
