it has been corrected. Arigato!
*Chapter Two*
Yahiko walked into the room, wondering what the commotion was. He
opened the door to see Kenshin, Kaoru, Okina, Megumi, Aoshi, Hiko, and Misao
standing and talking to each other. Misao caught Yahiko in her eyesight,
and ran towards him, tackling him and ending up on top of him. She grinned
and pinched his cheeks.
"Hey, you little brat! Did you miss me?" She yelled into Yahiko's
ear. He winced and let out a small sound. Misao leaned closer to hear. He
said it again, but Misao still didn't understand, so she leaned closer. Then,
Yahiko yelled.
"GET OFF OF ME, YOU MONSTER!" Yahiko said, pushing her off. He got
up and glared at the smiling face of Misao. She stuck out her toungue, and
Yahiko's face grew a fiery-red. He grasped his bamboo sword, but Kenshin
stopped him. Kenshin turned to Okina.
"So, where are you planning to stay?" Kenshin asked. Okina looked
back, but Misao answered.
"We were planning on staying at--" Misao started.
"Wait! Staying? I thought you were MOVING here...right?" Kaoru asked.
Misao looked at her funny.
"What? Okina, what did you say in the letter?" Misao asked the old
man, who was whistling his way out of the room.
"JI-YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" Misao shouted. Okina, eyes wide,
turned back, and smiled.
"I uh...I told them that we were...uh..moving to Tokyo..."
"Is that all?" Misao gave a suspecting look to him.
"I also told them that it was because of the murders..."
Misao just kept looking, and Okina knew she was about to on to her
speech about always protecting the people and not being afraid of anyone,
'cause we're the 'oniwa banshu' thing, so he quickly tried to correct his
words.
"MISAO,I'MSORRY,IWASN'TTHINKING,IJUSTWANTEDYOUTOBELESSMACHOBECAUSEYOU

THAT..." Okina stopped, hoping that had covered his tracks. It obviously had,
since everyone had a confused look, and Kenshin with one of his 'oro' faces
plastered on.
"Well, do you want to stay here?" Kaoru asked.
"That would be great, right, Yahiko?" Misao asked, nudging him. Yahiko
let out a small 'yea', and rubbed his head.
-Elsewhere-
***
Kandak'la sat at his chair, contemplating about the news he had just
recieved. Talansar had been killed by one of the 'Dragons'. Kandak'la had
thought the Dragons had been just a story, just a tale of a fighter equal to
one of the clan. The tale had been passed from generation to generation, and
almost was never believed to be fact, but it seemed it was.
The obvious thing to do was to kill this Dragon. The trophy of a
Dragon would be extremely prized among his other trophies of Warlaks, Glibbs,
Kartops, and the bugs. The only thing was that this Dragon had used a slash
technique never seen before. Kandak'la waved his hand, and a video screen
projected the fight with the Dragon from Talansar's helmet camera. The human
stood, and when Talansar rushed forward for a pierce attack, which was exactly
what a rookie WOULD have done, the human seemingly dissapeared and almost
instantly reappeared right in front of Talansar, and sliced nine times all at
once. The speed was incredible, though a talented hunter could do the same.
A hunter such as himself.
Kandak'la stood up, and grabbed his gear. The rest of the hunters
knew where he was going, but did not join him. Kandak'la put on his gear,
adjusted the aim on his shoulder cannon, checked his visoin enhancers, and
walked off. He knew how to find a Dragon. They always had a certain heat
pattern in their eyes the shape of three claws. If he saw this, he would
attack. Who knew? Maybe he would pick up a couple of extra trophies while
he was at it...

-Kamiya Dojo-
The group sat around the table. Misao had just told the rest of the
group about the attack on the train. Kenshin had pulled aside Hiko and asked
what had happened.
"The Hunter," Hiko had said, "was a rookie. They are here, and more
will come. I'm expecting that the leader will come to claim one of us for
his prize."
"Should we tell them?" Kenshin asked. Hiko had just semi-shrugged,
and Kenshin had called the group together. He couldn't find Sanosuke, and
Megumi was treating Aoshi's wound.
Kenshin looked to the floor, thinking about what Misao was telling
him. Kenshin thought he would never have to fight a Hunter, OR tell anyone
about them. As Misao finished her story, Aoshi and Megumi walked in, Aoshi's
shoulder bandaged.
"Kenshin, do you know where this fighter came from?" Misao asked.
Kenshin sighed, and thought was he was going to say. A full minute passed,
and nobody made a sound. Hiko sat back, drinking some sake, watching his
student. Kenshin looked up.
"Yes. I know." He said.
"Where?" Misao asked again.
"The fighter came from another star. He...no, IT, is the reason for
the formation of the style of Hiten-Mitsurugi-Ryu. Many years ago, one of
the Hunters, as we call them, came to Japan. One village was almost totally
destroyed, except for one boy. This boy, Keiichi Matsumura, escaped with only
a glance of what destroyed his village and killed his family. A group of huge
humanoid creatures that were about eight feet tall, and extremely powerful.
Keiichi spent the next thirty years perfecting the skills to kill these beasts
and to defend against their attacks. The fighting style that Keiichi had
perfected was called 'Hiten-Mitsurugi-Ryu'."
Everyone stayed quiet and looked at each other. Kaoru glanced at
Hiko, who had his eyes closed, obviously letting Kenshin tell the legend. She
looked back at Kenshin and asked, "What happened?".
"The day Keiichi perfected 'Ama Kakeru Ryu no Hirameki', a group of the
Hunters came. Three. Keiichi stepped forward to take the challenge, and one
stepped forward. This one had gray hair, seemingly older than the others.
The fight began, and Keiichi found that his techniques worked very well, but
the Hunter was still incredibly good. Not only was it faster than he had
expected, but it also seemed to remember any move that Keiichi did during the
fight. Eventually, Keiichi defeated the beast by the succession technique."
"Wounded, Keiichi turned to prepare for the other two, but
surprisingly, they just picked up the defeated one and dissapeared. Keiichi
swore he wouldn't let what happened to him happen to another person, so he
passed the style on, and it cycled through the generations, along with the
story of the Hunters. Three of the style's successors were seriously wounded
in a fight with the Hunters, but they recovered, so Hiko is lucky to walk
away from that fight without a scratch. Extremely lucky, but from the
tales, they always put up a big fight, so the one shi-sho fought must have
been a VERY inexperienced Hunter."
Everyone in the room was shocked. Misao just stared at Aoshi, feeling
lucky to still have him. Yahiko looked at Hiko, who still hadn't moved.
Kaoru shuffled a bit, and broke the silence.
"So the Hunter won't be back?" She asked.
Kenshin looked at her, a concerned look on his face.
"An encounter with the Hunters never ends until one of the elders
come. They usually show up after one of the successors is found by another
one of their kind." Kenshin looked at the group, a gleam passing over his
eyes. "This isn't over just yet."
-Outside Tokyo-
Sanosuke walked through the night streets of Tokyo. He couldn't
believe Cho was dead. The day before, he had bashed in at LEAST two-hundred
rocks with Futae-No-Kiwami due to his anger. He wished he could only get
face to face with Cho's killer.
Sano stopped. He heard a rock tumble across the ground behind him.
He turned to look. He saw nothing. He started to walk again, being a bit
more cautious, and straining his ears to hear anything unusual. In front of
him, something looked strange. Sanosuke rubbed his eyes and looked again. It
was like the air was wrapping around something. He stepped backwards,
wondering what it was. He looked down at three red dots on the ground. They
started to travel towards him and up his body. They landed on his hand, and
he held it out and looked at it. It was like a light of some sort. He looked
at it's origin, and saw that it came from the wavy air. Sanosuke laughed to
himself. This guy didn't REALLY think that he was fooling him, did he? Sano
heard a small click followed by a quick, whirring sound. Sanosuke jumped back
just as a burst of blue fire went where his hand had just been. Sano landed,
and frantically looked around for either the attacker, or the red dots. He
saw the air move to the left of him, and he turned, only to get whacked in
the face by something, and then kicked in the stomach as he bent over. Sano
heard a *shink* of metal, and he hopped backwards. Two blades were being
held in mid-air, where he had just been. Sano opened his mouth, but was cut
off by a pain in his chest. Then his arm. Then his face. He looked down and
saw two bleeding scrape marks on his chest, arm, and blood ran down his face.
Sano turned to run, knowing he couldn't defeat what he couldn't see, but
slammed into something, causing him to fall back. He looked up and saw a
massive human dressed in slinky mesh armor and a thick mask. It looked
down at him, and Sano wiped his face.
"So now you show yourself, you fucker!" Sano said as he stood up.
"Now that I can see you, I can beat you!"
Sano dashed forward, his right arm raised. The fighter blocked with
his left, and jabbed at Sano's face with his right. Sano narrowly dodged the
clawed fist, and returned with a swift kick to the side of the man. Sano
winced as he felt the pain of impact go through his leg. The man stood there,
and Sano figured that he had done more damage to himself than his opponent.
The man grabbed Sano with one hand, and threw him twenty feet away. Sano
landed with a thud, the wind knocked out of him. He stood up, and saw the
man...no, BEAST slowly walking towards him. Sano quickly thought of what he
was going to do. He got an idea, and ran forward, this time with his left arm
up in the air. Again, the beast blocked his fist, and tried to counter with
it's right, but was cut off by a knee in the face.
Sanosuke grinned as he hit his opponent with a knee to it's mask. It
hurt his knee, but it was still a hit. Sano stopped grinning as he felt a
pair of hands grasp his sides. He looked down and saw the red dots traveling
up his body again. They reached his chest, and he looked to where they were
coming from. It was the mask! Sano struggled to break free, but the man just
held Sano tight in the air. Sano watched the dots go farther, until he could
feel a hotness on his forhead. Sano struggled once more and got his right
hand free, and at the same moment, the creature fired.
