In the Fushigi Yuugi universe, the sky is divided up into four quadrants, those being: north, south, east and west. Each of these has exactly seven constellation decicated to them. Each quadrant has a Miko (priestess) and seven protectors of the Miko (seishi). The Miko's are mysterious girls that appear out of nowhere and once they have gathered up all the seishi, she is able to grant one wish. Watase Yuu got many of her ideas from mythology of Ancient China.
