sakura kinotomo is the main character of card captor sakura. (duh...^^) personality wise, she is very kind, sweet and outgoing. with these characteristics, one can tell that she is also popular and makes friends very easily. and of course, she is the card captor. she uses her key and the power of the already captured cards to capture the clow cards. her best friends are kero-chan and tomoyo and her family includes her father, fujitaka and her brother, touya. (sakura's mother, nadeshiko passed away when she was 3.) in my opinion, sakura is really kawaii, she had a crush on yukito (touya's best friend) and it was so sweet. (however, she realized that she liked yukito because he was so much like her father and that she liked him just like a brother. with the help of yukito, she realizes this. she is distraught by this but with the help of shaolan, she manages to get over it.) she rollerblades with her brother to school every morning just to have a chance to see yukito. ^^ newayz, as you can tell sakura's name means cherry blossom and she was named this because her mother's favourite flower was sakura. what's kewl about sakura is that she acts like any other regular girl and she has such a cute fear of ghosts. (see below) newayz, the last fact i want you guys to know is that she makes wicked pancakes.^^ they're d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s. magic: at first when sakura tried to capture the clow cards, sakura was using dark(?) magic which was basically the same magic as clow reed. however, in the final judgement, sakura's power was changed into star magic. in the second season, sakura had to transform all the clow cards into sakura cards in order to defeat the enemy, which turned out to be eriol. there were two main purposes for this, first, to make sure the clow cards don't turn into ordinary cards (they would have lost their powers b/c sakura uses a different magic) and secondly, to help eriol _not_ become the most powerful wizard in the world. in order to diminish eriol's power, you had to be more powerful than eriol and with each card transformation, sakura got more powerful. at first, when she changed a card, she would fall asleep from exhaustion, after awhile, she was transforming two cards at once w/o a problem. ^^ I guess you can say sakura is the most powerful wizard in the world. pretty impressive, ne? relationship with shaolan: newayz, with the end of card captor sakura, we finally get to know sakura's true feelings for shaolan. for all you s & s fans, she indeed falls in love with shaolan...i swear, i should make a shrine with all my favourite kawaii moments b/w the two...mwa ha ha ha...but first...i have to finish manga summaries. (egad! off topic!) interesting fact: if you guys haven't noticed, sakura has a little phobia of ghosts and other such creatures. here's the origin. it turns out that touya and sakura seem to have a sort of sixth sense. touya is able to see supernatural things and sakura is only able to sense them, so when they were both little, touya would tell sakura what he could see. i.e. a lady with no legs or an old man without any head. newayz, sakura was scared to death of them even tho, she could not see them herself, she could still feel them and if her brother did not tell what they were, she would not stop crying. aww...
