though my opinion isn't really that important, I've just got to say this first...SHAOLAN KICKS MAJOR BUTT!!! ^^ well, he does...and if you know me...which most of you don't, you know that i usually like the vegeta type characters or characters that don't have to be 100% nice all the time. ^^ but are sweeties, nonetheless...well, not vegeta... OK...that wasn't really necessary but now...on to the profile!!!
shaolan is a 10 year boy from hong kong and basically came to Japan in search of the Clow Cards but despite of his age, he's very smart. i find him to be extremely noble, sweet and cute. he has a nifty lookin' board which i don't know what the name of is (if anyone knows, pleeaase tell me. ^^), which helps him find them. shaolan is also a very powerful magician and uses his sword to catch clow cards. as for his personality, he's one strange little dude. he doesn't really like showing his feelings (in fact, his reaction is to run away from the person) but you can tell when he likes someone very easily because he blushes a lot. he always blushes when he sees yukito and later on, you notice that he begins to blush for sakura (it's really sweet. ^^) It's absolutely adorable actually because in the second series, a new transfer student from England named eriol hiiragizawa (no summary yet ^^;) begins to show some interest in sakura and shaolan's reactions are priceless. Also, he's recently realized with yue's help that he actually likes sakura and so he's given up his rivalry with sakura for yukito. ^^ (yay!) ever since then he has tried to tell sakura his feelings. unfortunately there's always something that interrupts him. every attempts makes him extremely adoreable and he always seems to be concerned. he helps sakura whenever he can and sakura is always grateful. she even said once that with shaolan by her side, she feels safe. However, shaolan is forced to return to hong kong after the threat is gone and this pushes sakura to realize her true feelings. in the end, she admits that she loves shaolan and that she will wait for him to return, which we all have the pleasure to see. ^^
naive: poor shaolan...the problem w/ him is that no matter how many lies takashi tells him, shaolan always believes him. but i think it's cute...along w/ his shyness, thoughtfulness, etc., etc...
sakura: this guy has liked sakura since he sat on the beach w/ her on that chapter not so long ago...of course, it took him about half a season to figure out that he liked her and he needed help to figure it out. but yeah, his initial reaction to sakura was to run away, run far away and never look back and then it was to tell her how he felt but he failed several times...it wasn't until sakura made him promise to tell her whatever was on his mind, did he finally say that "the person [he] likes the most is sakura". awwww... I LOVE THIS COUPLE!

i'm sorry, i couldn't help it, i think i'm going to add my favourite kawaii moments in the manga that involve shaolan. ^^ *happy* ok, here goes...
this is from volume 8 of ccs and sakura is very sick. she even has a fever but she insists that she wants to go to school. so, while they are playing some sort of sport ( looks like dodge ball to me or somethin' ^^;) she kinda goes whoozy and falls over. the next thing you know a ball is heading towards her and guess who saves the day? yep, that's right, shaolan. it was so cute. he was like, "are you ok?" and then he began expressing his concern and saying that sakura shouldn't be doing this in her condition. here's my favourite moment, he suddenly stops and turns beet red because he finally figures out everyone is watching. i thought this was cute. well, ok, I guess that's it. (^^;) later... (btw, #1 reason why i like shaolan, he'll take off his hat just to tell you that he likes you. *squeal*...okay, quit pukin' now...shoo, i say! shoo!)
