Non-Anime Links

I'm such a huge Kevin Smith fan. I think he's an amazing writer, whether it be screenplays, comic books, or reviews, and an excellent director. His New Jersey Trilogy has become a staple in my life, especially Chasing Amy. This is the homepage for View Askew Poductions. You can find information and galleries for the Trilogy, upcoming releases, news, comic book info, the Trilogy Drinking Games, and how to order kick-ass merchandise. I highly recommend this site, and the films.

"THAT'S the basic premise behind Foreign Correspondents, a feature film split into two entirely separate stories, the first entitled "Dear Jenny" and the second "Love, Trevor." Though the film is very neatly divided into these two different stories, with two different casts and two different cities, there are certain thematic and narrative ties that bind the stories together so that they form a cohesive whole."

Those are the words of Mark Tapio Kines, writer and director of Foreign Correspondents. This is any amazing little movie funded and promoted through the wonders of the Internet. Mark is positively inspiring, and his film looks incredible. Plus, it stars my long time crush Wil Wheaton, and the Parker Lewis in "Parker Lewis Can't Lose," Corin Nemec.

So, stop by Mark's site, see the trailer, drop him a line, and send him some money! It'll make you feel good about yourself.

Bum, bum, bum... Satellite of Love

By now, you probably realize that I fell in love with the movie Velvet Goldmine. This is my first link to a VG page. And what a page it is! If you love fanfiction (don't we all?) then this is the site for you! It mainly centers on VG slash fics (many lemons), but it also houses some Star Wars: The Phantom Menance slash fics, too. If you do nothing else, check out the Jar Jar Binks version of one Curt/Brian fic. You have to see it to believe it.

If you haven't already noticed, I'm a major film buff. Mary-sama introduced me to this site, and it's become a staple of my daily web-browsing. Let me just quote the page:

"'Dark Horizons' has become one of the hottest sites around to find out the latest news, images, clips and reviews of all the current and upcoming blockbuster films. Also included are some great episode guides to your favourite cult TV shows, as well as a weekly breakdown of films and shows screening in both the US and Australia. The site is non-commercial and has been established purely to inform those eager movie-fanatics who want the latest goss."

It's amazing. It takes a bit of time to load some of the sections, but it's worth it. Plus, you can find tons of info on my Anakin!
