Storyline : 
Story begins with a redhead youth named hanamichi who join the basketball team because of a girl, Haruko Akagi. He went through the process of getting into the national competition with the Shohoku team and along the way, he fell for this game called basketball.

Review : 
I really like this series even though i can't even dribble...hehe. There are 31 volumes and 276 chapters altogther. There is the funny and talented hanamichi who called himself Tensai (genius). If this is not enough, there is always the coolest secondary basketball player Kaede Ruakawa *drool*. Not to mention Sendoh...whose amazing hair never failed to stand...even in the toughest competition ^_^. Here and there, you can see the characters transformed in superdeform, my fav part. One can even learn the techniques of basketball here as Sensei Inoue will drop hints and explanation every now and then. I hope the schools make it a standard textbook...hehe....all must read..ok?
