CC 個人資料 \| email	posted 12-04-98 3:03 PM ET (US) Actually, one should blame Microsoft for not releasing its API of IE so that the display engine of the various Chinese add-on can wrap Chinese text like MS' own Unicode engine - wrapping is fine when using MingLiU, a Unicode TTF font.

If not, it seems that your Chinese engine inserts white spaces to make lines wrap. BTW, it's better to use TOPICID-000000-000000-000000 for linking to a topic. Oh well, I was just too lazy. I have always cut&pasted whenever I needed to add links, but haven't encountered any problems. Do you see any?

Unfortunately, both of the Chinese engines that I'm using -- CWin95 and NJStar fail to wrap..... So, is there any workaround? (I don't give much hope.) BTW, one thing I have noticed -- in some people's postings, commas were replaced with spaces (by their Chinese engines?), and the wrapping problem disappeared, of course.

I'm using a Perl script (within NoteTab text editor) to remove the added HTML tags, so just a few keystrokes will do the job. BTW, is there any problem with long English lines when using CWin95+NC4 or NJStar+IE3?

Are you using NJStar 1.6? Yep. They don't use commas, and feed in [CR]s manually. I didn't know there are so many people (not only them) using spaces to separate words instead of commas. I saw a few times that commas(,) showed up with English in their messages, so I was suspecting that 全形逗點(，) were replaced by their Chinese engines with spaces. is there any problem with long English lines when using CWin95+NC4 or NJStar+IE3? Nope. Thanks, CC! I don't even know why I try to figure out all these. Get a life, Xiren! ^_^

I don't like the font of the BIG5 char-set though, and it doesn't show boldface in this mode either, so I think I am gonna stick with "Western". Try NJStar 2.0. Actually I'm thinking about getting rid of NJStar and only use NC4 as the Chinese viewer. I can't input Chinese without that on-screen keyboard of CWin95 anyway (I'm too lazy to memorize all the symbol positions.) ^_^ Thank you very much for your help!
