The above was submitted from CWIN95, how about WIN95 ? It should be the problem of the viewer, not the submitter. Am I right? (... edited by CC)

I'd say that's the problem of the Chinese display subsystem. BTW, it's better to use TOPICID-000000-000000-000000 for linking to a topic.

Actually, one should blame Microsoft for not releasing its API of IE so that the display engine of the various Chinese add-on can wrap Chinese text like MS' own Unicode engine - wrapping is fine when using MingLiU, a Unicode TTF font.

CC, Did you add those white spaces manually to make the sentence wrap? If not, it seems that your Chinese engine inserts white spaces to make lines wrap. BTW, it's better to use TOPICID-000000-000000-000000 for linking to a topic.

I have a little program to insert spaces. Anyway, it does not work, since punc marks are also "point of wrapping".

Thanks CC! Let me try to conclude it: If one does not split long lines manually, the results vary depending upon the viewers' Chinese engines. Unfortunately, both of the Chinese engines that I'm using -- CWin95 and NJStar fail to wrap..... So, is there any workaround? (I don't give much hope.) BTW, one thing I have noticed -- in some people's postings, commas were replaced with spaces (by their Chinese engines?), and the wrapping problem disappeared, of course. |

commas were replaced with spaces (by their Chinese engines?)
and the wrapping problem disappeared, of course.

Sorry about the trash that I produced in 測試場

Do you see any commas in messages submitted
Sorry about the trash that I produced in 測試場
BTW, is there any problem with long English lines when using CWin95+NC4 or NJStar+IE3? |

Traditional Chinese encoding﹐ I was unable to do so. NC4.04 always turned the setting back to "Western" after I had done that. Are you using NJStar 1.6?
They don't use commas, and feed in [CR]s manually.
is there any problem with long English lines when using CWin95+NC4 or NJStar+IE3?
Thanks, CC! I don't even know why I try to figure out all these. Get a life, Xiren! ^_^ |

Choose BIG5 as default encoding. Try NJStar 2.0. |

Choose BIG5 as default encoding. Got it! I don't like the font of the BIG5 char-set though, and it doesn't show boldface in this mode either, so I think I am gonna stick with "Western". Try NJStar 2.0.
Thank you very much for your help! |

CC, I tried out NJStar 2.0, and actually liked it . Now I can use pinyin to input Chinese with keyboard since it does not require memorizing keys. Finally I can TYPE! Hurray!!!!! ^_^ Thanks a lot for your suggestion! |
