Ja-kal

Ja-kal

Ja-kal was the royal Huntsman of Amenhotep (By saving his pharrohs life and his brothers), the pharrohs chief falconer and captain of the Rayal hunts.
The qualifications for his job were simple: He had to be brave enough to face a lion armed with only a spear, he had to be fast enough to run down a gazelle, agile enough to snare birds on the wing, and obedient enough to jump into a muddy pond with an angry hippo when the pharroh said "Jump"
The Pharroh wanted someone to help his son (Rapses) to teach and help learn the ways of the hunter, many hunters tried out for this contest but only 1 won.....Ja-kal.....

Ja-kal was born on the island of yebu (Present day Elphantinel) hundreds of miles up the Nile, near Aswan, at the farthest reaches of Egypt. He is most at home in the wilderness, and happiest when roaming alone free in the deserts, the mountains, or the marshes.

Ja-kal is always testing himself, constanly questioning whether he lives up to his ideal of what a man should be.His cool head in dangerous situations, and grasp of strategy and tactics, make him the best qualified of the mummies to be in command.

However because Ja-kal is used to being by himself most of the time when hunting and making decisions alone, he doesn't have very good people skills. He angers quickly (prefering to because he never had to rely on someone else to get the job done), is very demanding ( prefering to because no one can match his abiities), and is sometimes insenstive to the feelings of others (because as a hunter he spent most of his time alone with the animals).
Ja-kal is very unconfortable with his duty as a teacher to young Rapses, dispite his genuine affection; Rapses/Presley looks up to Ja-kal as a father figure, becasue of this Ja-kal judges himself weather he had made the right decision or if he could of made a better one. Ja-kal who of the pharroh. He has vowed never to harm another animal, directing his hunting skills against a new prey: Scarb

Ja-kal feels guility over the young prince's death by Scarb 3500 years ago. He feels that he failed to prove worthy of the trust the pharroh put in him. The rebirth of Rapses spirt in Presley gives Ja-kal a second chance, to carry out the mission entrusted to him- and this time he won't fail!

Ja-kal is an expert with all the weapons of an Egyptian huntsman- Spear, sling, bomer-rang, bow and arrow, and net. Rath equpited him with a variety of special arrows and ammunition ,some that explode on impact others that burst into flame.

Ja-kal wears the head and armoured wings of the falcon- god Hours, which gives him power to fly. He is able to glide through the air find his prey and swoop down to attack with his razor sharp claws and beak.

Ja-kal's voice comes from the very talanted Dale Wilson who also plays the voice of Joe the police man.
