September 13, 2000. Second
Impact occurred at the South Pole, melting all the ice and rising water
by 80 meters. In 2015, 15 years after the Second Impact, while the world
is still under restoration, entities called Angels suddenly attack Tokyo-3,
a special city in the Hakone area. Their purposes are unknown, but they
are trying to destroy humanities. Conventional weapons are useless against
them. It's almost impossible to destroy those Angels. Humankind's last
hope are the Evangelion Units, humanoid fighting machines which are controlled
by 14 years old pilots.
