Simple thoughts, and simple dreams
Simple mind, it truly seems
Simple chores, and simple tasks
Simply hides, and simply masks
Inner truths, now left behind
Outer lies, that stir the mind
Falsified, yet true indeed
Emotions, the shadow breed
Gathered thoughts, that feed your fears
Comfort words, that spring from peers
Stirring thoughts, of once ago
Stirring thoughts, from down below
Simple thoughts, a simple dream
Simply wakes, to silent scream
Simple words, that ease the mind
Simply hides, you’ll never find
Once I dreamed, and once I hoped
That she came, and we eloped
Our life was bliss, calm and free
Free from this, this cruel debris
Flowing tears, so violently
I awoke, so silently
From the dream, whence I awoke
From the dream, that to me spoke
Simple thoughts, that end in pain
Simple dreams, that show no gain
Simple cares, that come no more
Simple thoughts, where spirits soar
Dreamed a dream, I truly did
Dreamed a dream, this stupid kid
Dreamed a dream, that is no more
Dreamed a dream, shall dream no more
Do I sink, or do I stand
In this life, so much demand
Does the tie, that truly binds
Hold my heart, to her declines
Simply thought, and simply dreamed
Simply fought, and simply deemed
Simple goals, oh so distant
Simply gone, in an instant
Do not look, do not listen
Do not gaze, at this vision
Spirits come, and visions go
Dreams will form, yet never grow
To the end, this withered bunch
Til the end, my worried hunch
Luck with you, as we depart
Fate with me, my last remark
Simple thoughts, form simple dreams
Simple dreams, form teary streams
Simple cries, are never heard
Never heard, the simple word
