Hi everyone, this is my first attempt at a fanfic so please be considerate
before you decide to flame me. Sorry about the few spelling mistakes. If
there are any inaccuracies, please e-mail me and tell me so and where. Well
this story takes place a little after the last series(or is it before?). Any
way, I've only seen the NA dub version. I'm using japanese names and terms
because I just think they're cooler. If you can give me any information on
the characters from the japanese version(manga, show and movies) I gratefully
accept the help. E-mail me with comments, ideas, flames(please don't) and
praise(like I'll receive that). Enough with the chitchat and on with the
show.
By the way, When I use parentheses when someone is talking, it's
usually(is that how you spell it) to clarify something or point.

Night in Shining Armor
A lone figure was sitting by the window. She had long blond hair that she
kept in 2 twin odangos. In this time, she was called Neo-Queen Serenity. On
this starry night, she vas looking at her old home : the moon. She was
remembering her very distant past on the moon with her mother and her life
as Tsukino Usagi.

5 girls were walking down the streets of Tokyo gossiping. They were
all in their last year of high school. The blue-haired girl was reading a
book on physics while walking. The tall brunette tried to coax the
blue-haired girl to put her book down, " Come on, Ami-chan, you're already 6
chapters ahead of you physics class. Do you really need to get further ahead?
You know you already have straight A's in every subject . " she said.
" Makoto, you know, senshi business could star up again at any moment
. Anyway, I'm studying to get some extra credits for college. " Ami answered.
At that, Makoto sweat dropped wildly.
A girl with waist length blond hair came up to them and said, " Um,
girls, would you help me separate Rei and Usagi ? They're having another on
of their fights. I'm getting tired of being the peacemaker. "
" Ok, Minako, I'll help you. But, you know, you're not the only one
who is tired of breaking up their fights. " said Makoto as she was going
toward Rei and Usagi. Clearing her throat she said, " Usagi-chan, did you
know I was planning to make some chocolate cookies ? But as I see, you seem
to be too busy with Rei-chan to want to come and taste them. "
" Mako-chan, did you say cookies ? " Usagi squealed. " You know I'll
come and taste them. " turning to Rei she said, " Sorry Rei-chan, I'm going
to eat cookies. " She started running ahead when all of a sudden she bumped
into someone and crashed to the ground (will she ever learn). " Gomen nasai.
I was not looking where I was going. I hope I didn't hurt you, " Usagi
apologized.
" Don't worry, Usako. It's me. Just be careful not to run
into any other people. They may not love having you run into them as much as
I do. " said Mamoru.
" Gomen, Mamo-chan. It's just that Mako-chan has invited me for
cookies. Hey ! Maybe you could come with me for cookies. Let me ask her. "
she said excitedly. Turning around to face Makoto she asked, " Mako-chan,
can Mamo-chan come and have cookies with us ? "
" I don't see why Mamoru-san can't come and have cookies with us, "
Makoto replied.
Usagi turned back to Mamoru and talked excitedly, " Oh, Mamo-chan,
you can come with us and have fresh chocolate cookies. I guess it was a good
thing I ran into you. Oh, I just remembered something, Mamo-chan, my mother
has invited you over for supper tonight. Do you want to come, Muffin ? "
Looking around he asked, " Are you sure you sure your father won't kill me ?
The last time I came your father chased me out with his gardening tools. "
" Don't worry, Mamo-chan, my father was actually the one to come up with the
idea. He decided that he needed to know you better. So, will you come ? "
" I wouldn't miss an opportunity to be with you, Usako. I'll come for sure.
Your father will call me your knight in shining armor. "
Usagi blushed and said, " Now, now, we don't want the secret to be out. Then
If you're my knight and prince and I your princess, I command you to give me
a kiss. "
" I, your prince, will obey your command, my dear princess ", and he gave her
a passionate kiss.
" Um, um ", Makoto clearing her throat said, " Are you twp lovebirds still
up for cookies ? You just seem to be a little busy. "
Blushing, Mamoru answered, " Um, yes we still are going to have cookies.
Let's get going or my Usako will starve to death. We don't want that now do
we ? "
Later at Makoto's house, they were enjoying chocolate cookies for an
afternoon snack when Usagi just remembered she had to call her mother to
tell her Mamoru was coming for supper. " Oh no ! Mako-chan, can I use your
phone to call my mother and tell her Mamo-chan is coming for supper ? "
" Yes, Usagi-chan. Use my phone. " Mako-chan answered.
Usagi ran to the phone (without klutzing out) and called her mother. She
dialed and waited for her mother to answer.
" Moshi-moshi ", answered Ikuko.
" Mom, it's me, Usagi. I just called to let you know that Mamoru will be
joining us for supper tonight. Can you please tell Shingo to be nice to
him ? "
" Ok. See you for supper at five thirty. Bye. "
" Thanks. Bye. " click.
Running back to Makoto and Mamoru she said, " It's all arranged. Supper will
be at five thirty. Now where did you put the cookies ? " At that, Mamoru and
Mokoto sweatdropped.
" You see, Usagi-chan, you ate the last one before going to the phone. I
guess that's all for today. " Makoto said.
Usagi turned to Mamoru and proposed, " Since we still have an hour before
supper, let's go to the park, Mamo-chan. I want to go take a walk. "
" That would be great ! We just don't want to be late for supper. " Mamoru
agreed.
" I'll just leave you two lovebirds to go to the park. Don't worry about
cleaning, I'll do it. I'll see you later ", Makoto said, taking a plate to
her kitchen.
Putting his arm through Usagi's, Mamoru said, " Now let's get going, oh my
princess. We do want to have some time together before the moment of
judgment (the supper). Where do you feel like going, my lady ? "
Blushing, she answered giggling, " Oh, my prince, the place I would like to
be is in the rose garden in the park alone with you. Our love is like a rose... "
" Hey, that's my line, but I guess you can use it. Let's get going if we
want some time because as we're started, we won't be able to go to the rose
gardens before supper ", Mamoru said, planting a kiss on her forehead.
Later, leaving the gardens, they walked hand in hand to Usagi's for supper.
Usagi didn't bother to knock and pulled Mamoru in. She yelled to her parent,
" Mom, dad, we're home ! " Then she whispered to Mamoru, " Now, don't forget
Luna does not talk to my parents knowledge. Don't try to make her talk.
Anyway, if you did that, my parents would think you're crazy. "
" Don't worry, my mouth is sealed ", he whispered back as kenji and Ikuko
came to meet them. " Konbanwa, Kenji-san, Ikuko-san", he said offering his
hand.
Mr. and Mrs. Tsukino both shook his hand. Kenji said, " I know you are my
daughter's beloved and I also know that the first time you came for supper
(which was the only time) I chased you out with my gardening tools. I must
apologize. Gomen for chasing you out with my gardening tools. I asked
you to come for supper so I could get to know my daughter's boyfriend better. "
" I accept your apology. I must assure you that I am a very honorable young
man and would do nothing intentionally to hurt her. She is the light in my
life. I am a rose that grows in her light. "
" Enough with the talk, you two ", said Usagi, " Let's go eat supper. I'm
starving. " Mamoru and Usagi's parents looked at each other an sweatdropped.
Later, after supper, Kenji asked if he could talk to Mamoru alone, so they
left to go to the living room. Once in the living room, they started
talking. " Well, my boy, you seem to love my daughter very much and I can
see she loves you too. Could I ask you a few questions before you leave ? "
Kenji asked.
" Sure, ask away. "
" If this is too personal, tell me. I know you were orphaned when you were
young. I know it must have been hard. All my condolences. But I'm not in the
subject. All I want to know is are you ready to give your life for my
daughter ?" Kenji asked seriously.
" I am ready to give it once and many times over again for my dear Usako. I
would kill if it were to save her. I would do anything for my dear princess.
She is my light like I said earlier. " he answered in a far away tone.
" OK, then. For your truthfulness I must allow you to take my daughter out
tonight or any other night since I can see you love her even though you are
much older than she. In a few years, if you ask her hand in marriage, I
probably will say yes. You are now her official boyfriend. " he said
laughingly.
" Arigato. I'll just go find Usagi and see if she wants to take a walk in
the park. "Mamoru said, leaving to find Usagi. " Usako, do you want to take
a walk in the park with me ? " he asked her.
Usagi answered happily, " I'd love to go to the park. I guess you're now
on good terms with my(over protective) father. "
" I sure am. He named me your official boyfriend. He is happy for both of
us. Now let's go to the park before Luna can follow us. "
The one thing they didn't know was that Luna had listened to their whole
conversation. She was about to follow them when Artemis came up to her and
said, " Come on , Luna, let them have a little privacy once in a while.
They don't follow us when we go hunting for mice. "
" OK, I guess they don't follow us hunting but I'm Usagi's guardian cat and
advisor, and advisor to the queen in the Moon Kingdom. "
" I've known your title for a long time and I'm sure you know my title as
well. But being Usagi's guardian does not mean you have to follow her every
where she goes. Any way, she's with Mamoru-san her sworn protector and
prince. He'll defend her if anything happens. Don't forget, she has the
ginzuishou in her possession. " Artemis replied.
" I guess you're right. " she answered in defeat.
In the park, the couple was walking in the rose gardens. They found a bench
to sit on and looked at the moon and stars. " Mamo-chan, do you sometimes
think of the future and if we'll be happy ? "
" Sometimes. Why do you ask, Usako ? "
" I was thinking of Chibi-Usa and the fact that Pluto does not talk about
if she's happy in the future. I just wish she would come more often. Also,
when she comes, that she not always bring bad news with her. I miss her. "
" I miss my future daughter too. Look at it this way ; when she's away, we
get more time to be alone together. " he said kissing her on the head.
