I'm a new friend of Tal's and really new with all this Slayers stuff. I'm glad we're not the only big Zelgadis fans, but some of the stuff I'm seeing is starting to scare me. Okay well, sorry if I ramble, but that's just the way I am. I might as well say how I found out about all this, right? Well, if you guys knew Tal or could see her room, you'd be scared. I was. Where the walls, celing, door, etc. don't have pictures of wolves or dragons, they've got Zel. Wall to wall, all over. And the floor is almost knee-deep with with discarded fanarts and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th drafts of fanfiction. Terrifying . I almost had a heartattack. My first reaction was 'who or WHAT is that blue guy with the little weird things on his face, and why are there pictures of him all over your room?' She looked at me like I had grown another head or something and said "Geez, don't you EVER listen to us talk?" When I asked if it was some kind of cult thing, she just laughed. Stoneskin (that IS what you guys call him here, right?) had a very funny reaction. Oh, I'm rambling again, aren't I? Okay, sorry. But anyways, Tal had rented the first movie again, so she dragged me downstairs to watch it. I will not say I'm a 'sucker' for anything like Tal does, but I DO like villains more than heroes generally (in books and movies), I like tall mysterious guys, I like nice eyes and good voices, I love fantasy stuff and magic, and hey, blue's my all-time fav color. What can I say? I'm hooked. I can't wait to see the next one with him in it- does he still play a villain? He is such a good one. Wow, that was long. But I still think it's a cult thing. - 
 
 
 How do zel's animators manage to make him look sexy even dressed as a woman? Did anybody see the chapter where they dress him like a bunny rabbit? (I wished the easter bunny looked that way). And the one where he fell in love with a travesti? Zel is absol tely in every aspect a sexy bomb. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A BOYFRIEND LIKE HIM! (I wonder where can i get one) BTW: Where did you get the picture from your background? He should be a model... What is he wearing... Valentino?    From a fans standpoint; he's smart, calm and collective but never arrogant. Though by no means overly sentimental, he 
still has a kind of warmth about him and that really agrees with me

  Poor Zelgadis from Slayers is much too cool for his surroundings. This smooth stone skinned guy has to deal constantly with the manic Lina Inverse, Amelia, and Gourry, it's a wonder he stays sane! Zel just ooutcools all of them =) It's obvious! He's a skilled mage, a good sword fighter, and he has a really nice voice! (of course his voice is cool 
 
 

  He's just the prototype of the strong male with feelings. 
  He is strong, both physically and psychologically : he doesn't  hesitate when he kicks Lina right in the chest in the first season, yet he tries to be kind with her ( and that is already something, because you know, when it's Lina...). 
 He protects the hateful Amelia even when he's bored of her , and he is attracted by Mikan because he believes *her* to be a beautiful, weak creature. He tends to protect the women he likes.( Not in the same way of Gourry, though: while the latter acts like a friend, Zel-chan is far more manly) 
  And yet he is not a bossy brute who would always act as a broody hen. He gives space to women (sometimes even too much of it! Just think of the Try episode when he doesn't move a finger to help Lina and Firia!) and understands their feelings, and when they are too abashed he tries to make them react (I'm thinking of his attitude to Sylpheel in the first season, whenmore he shows very little tact! ^_^!)  -kerel  

         Reasons why he (ZEL)  is jus so cool :)   
         1. When evil, he can attract interest.   
             When good, he can attract interest.   

         2. He has people that would kill Amelia   
             if she touched him.   
            * If u dun get it,...... well ,Amelia isn't very much like 
               by Zelgadiss' fans. Most of us (including me ... 
               errr..... a little :)  thinks they make a very "funny" 
               couple,  i.e. Zelgadiss would b better off without 
               her. U will know how she is  like..after seeing 
               page 6,7,8   ... hope u understand why he has   
              people that would kill Amelia  if she touched him.   
              There is even "Project Kill Amelia" ....... 

        3. He's blue, a very sexy color when not applied to   
            smurffs.  
        4. He's witty [when he wants to be].  
        5  He's a powerful magic user, a very handy thing for 
            an adventurer.  
        6. He's intellegent [which is more than i can say about   
            some people]./ He's cool, and he's much smarter
            than  Gourry  
        7. His voice is done in exactly the pitch which drives us   
           all mad with love!!

       When we first got tape 6, and Zel jumped through the 
       window, we both screamed! "YES!!" Then he opened 
       his mouth, and we screamed again! "What happened to 
       his voice!?!" We are slowly getting used to Crispin doing 
       Zel's voice. We both think Dan was a better Zel, he did 
       the sarcasm thing WAY better. But Crispin has his strong 
       points too. And both have what we call Drooly voices. 
       (ie: we all drrool over them) So we can live with Crispin. 
 
        8. He scolds Amelia (go Zel^o^) /  He dosen't give the   
            time of day to that annoying brat Amealia  
        9. He sings like a profesional

      10. He loves his friends

      11. He makes me tinggle in funny places (i love his   
            sarcasm)  
      12. He is a shy , kind, sweet, young man who respects   
            people and isn't chasing after girls (girls chase after   
            him!) and he doesn't take advantage of people even   
            though he has every opportunity to.-- he is not  
           pervert or horny like some anime guys.......
