Suiken made guest appearances alongside some of his other Nitro Microphone Underground cohorts, on many Shakazombie albums, before releasing his own album "suiken presents 16 stars". You can hear the Shakazombie influence in some of his songs, particularly the ones produced by Illshit Tsuboi. The 16 stars album features a wide range of different guest appearances and producers. Some key moments are Gore-Tex's appearance on NAFON, which is a fantastic song, and tracks produced by DJ Hazu (Illmariachi), Illshit Tsuboi (a frequent producer for Shakazombie) and Dev Large (Buddhabrand). Suiken's own style is very competent allthough not unique. He does always deliver the goods though.. He has recently released a second album (very soon after the first one) which I havent got hold of yet. He has also done guest appearances on Muro's albums - the track W Steal with Muro, Suiken and S Word is one of the better tracks on the Muro King of Diggin album. w steal mp3 |
