As a starting and introducing Faye to you all, let me talk something in basic first as a warm welcome to Faye's life. She was born in Beijing on 8th August in 1969. Her mother is also a singer of Artistic Traditional Song while her father is a passionate Teresa Teng's fund. That environment made her familiar to music. After high school's graduation, she started modelling at the Chinese Airlines. She actually had voice training for 5 years that time when she was working. At the age of 18, she got into Hongkong by herself in order to be a pop singer, participated in many audition, and finally she made a contract with Cinepoly which is a famous for Beyond and so on. She once debuted as a Shirley Wong, called a girl from North, but she didn't break turning "Shirley". She was so interested in America that made she went there to study music at Atlanta's College. Anyway she have to left Cinepoly and when she came back to Hongkong, she managed to record her own song, Coming Home in 1992, A Breaken Hearted Women and Rouge(composed by Miyuki Nakajima) which these song made a great hit. So she became famous and one of the greatest top star in Hongkong. Afterward, she published many excellent albums and chinese pop's world permitted her as No.1 singer. Currently she is leading Hongkong's music from 1993-1995. Until now she is still famous and still recording a lot of song. Not only she is leading the music but also as a star and fashion people of the year. She held the Circle Concert in America and also Canada for 18 times and her tickets sold was around 180000 audiences per nite. This proved her overwhelming popularity in Hongkong. Yet another special things that she did acting for the first extremely movie in Hongkong that was ChungKing Express. The film magician whose name was Wong Kar Wai discovered that Faye's new frontier. She did give a smile more in the film thab in HK Showbiz. Takeshi Kaneshiro who is acter of ChungKing Express said, original girl in this film is very shy and quiet girl in the director writing. Faye cannot keep it, so the girl character changed greatly indeed. I love this film so much. The next stage, she has recorded hundreds of song until now the currently hits album of 1998 is Sing And Play. She also participated in performing Eyes On Me, one of the themes song for Final Fantasy VIII game. |
