Shinta: (sitting by window, thinking of Sakura-san, Akane-san) (sings) "And maybe I'll forgeeeet just how nice they were to me. And how I was almost their baaaaabeeeee...."
Hiko: Hey, Fox Brat! Cut that racket and get to mopping!
Shinta: (sticks out tongue)
Hiko: Listen you little ingrate, just because you're insufferably cute, have fluffy red hair and no parents, it does NOT mean that one day these things will bring you happiness! (throws mop at Shinta) Now, I want these floors to shine like the top of the Chrysler Building!
Shinta: (smile) We love you Ms. Hiko....!
Hiko: (swigs sake) (mutter) Little kids, little kids, everywhere I look. (stares) I can see them! (eyes go wide)
Shinta: (does a tap dance underneath Hiko's manto) "Who cares what they're wearing on Main Street or Seville Road...."
Hiko: (exasperated) Little kids, little kids, every day I eat, sleep and breathe them. (bites fist)I'm an ordinary swordsman, with feelings! I like a dame to nibble on my ear. (teary eyed) But I'll admit, not dame has bit! So how come I'm the mother of the year?
Shinta: (does a cartwheel) It's a Hard Knock Life for me!
Hiko: Gimme a smoochie my li'l poochie...(pours sake into the bathtub)
Shinta: (finds mangy mutt) Duuuuumb dog, why are ya following me?
Mutt: Cuz yer so damn cute! (licks face)
Hiko: Do I hear happiness in here????
Shinta: (launches into rousing musical number) THE SUN'LL COME OUT TOMORROW, BETCHA BOTTOM RYOU THAT TOMORROW....
Hiko: Shaddap! (kicks Shinta out of house)
