Here you will find images, sounds, opinions, and links pertaining to some of the most entertaining games I have ever played. Additions and modifications will occur regularly until I feel this section is complete.
ANVIL OF DAWN
Anvil of Dawn is a superbly crafted RPG that draws you into its world like few can. The graphics and music are exceptionally atmospheric. The enemies are very well animated, especially when you defeat them. There are puzzles to be solved, but even one as impatient as myself can handle it. So take might and magic in hand, and return the world of Tempest to glory! Highly Recommended!
TIP: Get the CD for excellent voice acting and cutscenes!
NOTE: The Reed Plain is one of the most fun mazes I've ever played through!
Anvil of Dawn - Reed Plain Music
CALLAHAN'S CROSSTIME SALOON
Based on the philosophical SF stories of Spider Robinson, Callahan's Crosstime Saloon will send you on the wackiest, most original, pun filled adventure gaming trip ever!!!!!
TIP: Get the CD for the opening cinema and LOTS of voice acting!
NOTE: No DOS emulator necessary! The game should run under Windows XP as long as you use VDMSound.
COSMIC FANTASY
Highly recommended 16 bit RPG series! The character designs are the rare kind that can show dead seriousness one moment and comic absurdity the next! The second installment is available in English by Working Designs.
ELDERSCROLLS
Detail, realism, FREEDOM! The Elderscrolls series has proven to be one of the finest examples of computer gaming!
Elderscrolls 2 - Daggerfall: Shop/Tavern Music
EXILE
Exile for the Turbografx CD was a game that simply hit me the right way. It had good graphics and gameplay, excellent voice acting by the Working Designs team, and philosophical overtones that always catch my attention. More details forthcoming!
FALLOUT
Fallout is UNDENIABLY one of the most original and atmospheric RPGs ever made! Explore a post apocalyptic world as you search for the part needed to keep your underground vault's supply of water from running out. But that's not the half of it . . .
The plotline is thick, the combat system is complex and unique (Reminds me VERY strongly of GURPS), and the characters you meet are almost lifelike.
Although I liked Fallout I better than Fallout II, the second installment did improve things. Fallout Tactics had the best gameplay, but the original Fallout still has the best story and feel. How about a Neverwinter Nights Fallout?
GOLDEN AXE: REVENGE OF DEATH ADDER
Who says arcade games can't be included in this list?
Great graphics, sound, and gameplay make Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder one of the best beat'em ups ever made!

LUNACY
Lunacy (Japanese title: Torikko) for the Sega Saturn is an intriguing CG FMV game. You protray Fred, a traveler who lost his memory four years ago. He has found his way (back) to Misty Town, a small community controlled by an evil lord who is in search of the fabled City of Moons. Can Fred recover his past in finding this city and stop the tyranny of the overlord?
This game is far from the typical "save the world" plot. It is an excellent voyage of discovery and for those metaphysically inclined may leave a trace of a lunar symbol on your forehead. . .
MIGHT & MAGIC
MIGHT & MAGIC is my favorite PC RPG series. Actually, I discovered MM1 on NES, but I was hooked from then on. I love the series for several reasons:
Might and Magic, World of Xeen will remain one of my alltime favorite computerized RPGs. World of Xeen is the result of having Might and Magic 4 and 5 installed on the same hard drive. Travel between both worlds at a whim solving quests, defeating the forces of evil, and uniting the lands in a tale of both fantasy and science fiction.
TIPS: If you are masochistic enough to play World of Xeen hardcore style, realize that the game will be VERY unforgiving!
Things to avoid:
ALWAYS have level, stat, etc. boosts! No matter how powerful you think you are, there's always something in Xeen that can get you!
Mining - Don't do it!
When above Dragon Tower - Do NOT talk to the statue until you have read all of the books!
Don't be afraid to flee a battle, BUT, sometimes you just better use Mr. Wizard! Be sure you have at least some gems with you though (He takes all on hand)!
MUGEN
MUGEN is arguably the BEST 2D fighting game EVER made! Ever wanted to have all of your favorite characters, or possbily yourself, in the same game? Then GET MUGEN!
NECTARIS/MILITARY MADNESS
Ah! The game that taught me tactics! Remember Military Madness for the Turbografx 16? Defeat the forces of evil on the lunar surface with various tanks, aerospace fighters, buggies, and artillery in turn based strategy. The sequel, Neo Nectaris, was a CD game and thus had excellent cinemas and music. It also contained the original Hucard version. I was ecstatic when I purchased Nectaris for the Playstation. the map graphics unfortunately hadn't changed, but the battle scenes were unrivaled. Too bad the PSX version contained only the original units and not the units from the sequel.
ONE MUST FALL 2097
One Must Fall 2097 is the BEST commercial fighting game for PC due to its RPG style tournament mode! Pilot one of several types of robots and fight for the ultmiate championship title! Put your own face in by manipulating the character PCX! The game is FREEWARE, so go get it!!!!
PANZER DRAGOON SAGA
Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG is one of the most finely crafted games of the 32/64 bit generation. An old Playstation freak might have drooled over the graphics, and the quality of the cinemas rivals that of FF VII. The storyline is only mildly complex, but is well presented.
Check out RPG fan's music section for Real Audio streams from the Azel soundtrack!
MEGAMI TENSEI
Want to play the Darkside of computer RPGs? Then the Megami Tensei series is for you! Encounter, bargain with, fight, and recruit beings from the world's mythologies!
SHADOWRUN
Shadowrun for Genesis is one of the best 16 bit RPGs. It plays just like the tabletop RPG and is filled with good graphics and sound. I particularly enjoy the matrix runs (which,if you haven't guessed, I've used to help decorate my site). If only I could create new scenarios. :(
Genesis Shadowrun at Wikipedia!
SNATCHER
This HAS to be one of the BEST games ever made. The storyline is superb, the graphics are well done, and the characters are memorable. Check THIS site for plenty of info!
SUPERHERO LEAGUE OF HOBOKEN
An uproariously funny Adventure RPG hybrid produced by Legend Entertainment, makers of Callahan's Crosstime Saloon!
Review!
SYSTEM SHOCK 2
Absolutely one of the BEST games ever made!! System Shock 2 is the perfect blend of FPS and RPG with a strong story, addictive gameplay, immersive environments, and atmospheric sounds and music! There is no need to play the first installment to enjoy this title, though you may want to check out the original anyway.

THE UR-QUAN MASTERS
One of the most ADDICTING games I've EVER played! The Ur-Quan Masters is a cross-platform revival of the genre busting Sci fi epic, Star Control II! the best part is . . . IT'S FREE!!!!!
TYRIAN
Although I am partial to Raptor, Tyrian is arguably the BEST 2D shooter to ever be released on PC! The graphics and sound are excellent, the story is good, and there's even RPG style weapon and ship upgrades!
