Skiing was great! Hey, when can you think of a time when skiing is not great? Denise, Regina, Todd, Scott, Gus, Stephanie, Matt, and Judy....you all made this trip AWESOME!
Day 1 (April 19th)
A bunch of lost Asians in Vancouver airport. Arrived around 10:40p.m. If you look closely, do you think Matt's jacket was haunted? Two and a half hours later in the bus watching that exciting "old man" movie we finally arrived at our destination, Whistler village! So glad to be sleeping at 4a.m.
Day 2 (April 20th)
Hey, Isn't this my birthday? After the first day of skiing, it's time to be beer pressured to smoke and drink with Peter. First victim, Gus and Judy the goody too shoe teacher. Oh well, we change people instantly!. Second victim, Todd actually looks pretty cool with that smoke in his mouth. What do you think? See, he doesn't need to learn the lingo to be cool. For dinner, we finally arrived at La Bocca and took our group picture. Thank you all for taking care of me. For entertainment, we went barhopping. Who needs sleep when we were dancing until 1:30 in the morning? Sure doesn't seem like a relaxing vacation....
Day 3 (April 21th)
Feeling very tired today and hungry. It's time for Shabu Shabu! Tabetai? We're going back to your roots Todd! Here are 3 hungry ladiesand 2 hungry sisters
Day 4 (April 22th)
This was perhaps the greatest day for skiing. Over 6" of powder with the sun shining upon our droopy eye faces, it was all worth it! The four musketeersarrived next to the roundhouse. Would you like to see a
close up? of these scary people? Todd and I had to be the parents for steph and Matt . Man, we didn't paid for babysitting these 2 kids. What up with that? Scott finally woke up 2 hours later and knocked me out of the earlier picture we took at the top of the roundhouse. Though he was nice enough to take a picture with me at the base of the blackcomb gondola. We hurried home and wanted to come back to see the big air contest and the mascot,
*$%^%$## What was that hanging between his legs anyways? I was so stoked to see my favorite lady boarder Tina Basich pull off her frontside 540. However, I was dissapointed that she didn't win.
Day 5(April 23th)
Last day of skiing and my body is in terrible pain. My knees were giving out. I decided to leave early but wait....what's this? Do I see people I know? Do you know how to play, where's waldo? I caught up with my good ol' ski buddy (only ski buddy) denise who accompanied me down. Here's a picture with a view for you ski buddy! Outside of our favorite restaurant....the hardass I mean, hardrock are four hungry souls. After roaming around getting ice cream or taking flamming Dr. Pepper's, we decided to take a
group picture I was surprised that we could hold that smile for so long.
Day 6(April 24th)
We were kickin' it today. Special props goes out to our 2 lady tour guides Denise and Regina. We followed them like kids in a candy store! After all that walking in downtown Vancouver overlooking the harbor we sat down. But we just couldn't resist that view so we stood up and took one shot standing . I couldn't resist riding on top of that Canadian mailbox . Yee Haw! Okay, here is the moment you all've been waiting for. Come watch Todd get Jiggy wit it. All this fun had to come to an end. We arrived at the airport tired , especially Regina and Gus. They made the best out of those seats.
Special thanks to some of my good buds for celebrating my birthday early.
Let's do it again next year? Afterall, we got to take advantage of that exchange rate!
