Futarigoto #15 4.22.2004 with Ai Takahashi
In this episode, Takahashi kind of runs out of thngs to say. First, she decides to do ballet, but due to the nature of the show [that the viewer is supposed to be a parapalegic vegetable] you can't see too well so she gives up and wanders into the kitchen. Then she comes back, makes faces, reads a book and gets a ring at the door.
It's Kamei, and when she shows up, Takahashi says "ojama shimasu" [please excuse the intrusion] even though it' s her show that Kamei is coming to. Then she realizes and corrects herself, I thought it was funny. They don't really say anything interesting, other than Takahashi wouldn't reveal what book she was reading. This is a good example of the "senpai/kouhai" relationship in that Kamei speaks using all polite forms, Takahashi doesn't.
Then unfortunately, more bandwith and hard drive space is wasted by the berrys, so as usual, I skipped it.
Futarigoto #16 4.26.2004 with Eri Kamei
First, Kamei makes cocoa, trying to figure out how many teaspoons to use. Then she talks about how she often watches the news, and the bird flu makes her sad. They kill the birds whether or not they have the flu. "I think it's probably the right thing to do, but I feel sorry for them. To think of how far science has advanced, yet we still can't save these birds, I feel very sorry for them." She thinks that because these birds only exist to be used by humans, that we should use our science to make a medicine for them. She then talks about how she has a dog, and if that dog got sick, she can't consider going to the doctor and ask the doctor to "dispose" of it. It makes humans look helpless to just kill the birds they can't heal.
Skipped berrys again.
Futarigoto #17 4.27.2004 with Eri Kamei
Kamei talks about how concerts are fun. There are things you can do because it is a concert. She often thinks "oh, I'm here because I joined MM a year ago." When a tour is about to end, she gets sad. But after it's done, she feels cheerful.
Then she talks about Michishige. "We're together all the time, and I have a lot of fun, but she's more and more mysterious." Like when we first met, at the auditions, before we went out, everyone would ask each other how they feel. They asked me, and I said "I'm definitely going to try my best." They asked Reina and she said "I'm definitely going to try my best." The cameraman then asked Sayu 'Kamei-san and Tanaka-san are going to try their best, what about you Michishige-san?' but because her speech was corrupted because she was sleepy...oh yeah we all had schedules. And Michishige asked 'how many kilometers are we going to run today?' And I thought, 'oh, that girl's kind of an airhead." Kamei then talks about how it was fun when they were together, at first they called each other Sayumi-chan, Reina-chan and Eri-chan, but by the end of training, it became Sayu, Reina and Eri. [This is another example of familiarity, when you feel close to someone, you drop the -san -chan etc.]. At first, I wondered if she was an airhead, but once training ended, I realized she did it all the time, but it was cute when she did it.
Kamei then gives an example. "Reina said to Sayu 'I'm going to the bathroom to wash my hands, come with me.' And Sayu said 'Ok, sure.' They both went to wash their hands, and because Reina went to wash her hands, Sayu said 'I'm gonna wash my hands too!' At this moment, Reina looked over and Michishige was drinking. Reina asked 'Why are you drinking?' And Sayumi said 'oops!'. When I asked her about this, she said "my hands didn't smell.' This happens a lot. But she is reliable. For example, I go to her room in the hotel, and she never forgets anything. I [Eri] always forget my eyewash and comb. I think I put them away but I always forget them. But Sayu never forgets anything so I always rely on her. And when I don't know what time it is, Sayu just says 'of, it's such-and-such o'clock.' and then I think 'She's pretty reliable.' She's really reliable, but she's also really an airhead. It's quite a mystery. A mystery you can't solve.
As usual, skipped the berrys. I hope they get out of the show soon.
