Title: Hannibal Starring: Sir Anthony Hopkins, Juliann Moore Directed by: Ridley Scott Rated: R for disturbing content Rating: ***1/2 (out of ****1/2 stars) Bloody The Man... forcing me to split my rating list in two 'cause he's co-hosting this article. I had right to do so! Yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway, we watched the movie Hannibal. As any of you with common sense know, it's the sequel to Silence of the Lambs, which, by the way, is the sequel to The Manhunter. In this movie Hannibal "the Cannibal" Lecter returns to haunt his old aquiantance Clarice Starling. Starling, after fumbling up on a drug bust, is in big trouble with the FBI. She needs a big break to bring her back into her career loop. An "old friend" comes to her rescue. Scary, ugly, bloody movie; but a fun time all the time. You can tell I'm obviously writing this article with the overuse of punctionation in a The Man article. As I was saying, Hannibal is about the return of Hannibal Lecter to the silver screen. After ten years, Lecter (Hopkins) returns to scare the sh** out of viewing audiences. He didn't do a good job. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?! HE SCARED THE SH** OUT OF ME!!! Trivial. Anyway, we give Hannibal 3 and 1/2 stars out of 4 and 1/2. It didn't have the same effect. Peace out, good movie. It coulda been scariar... more brain scenes and violence was needed. Anyway, as The Man was saying, peace out and have a very merry holiday break. Happy hunting. -Alaay- ~The Man |
