What other animes do you like? This is stated under my "anime" section, but I'll post it here as well. I really like Magic Knight Rayearth a lot. It has become my favorite alongside Sailor Moon. Some others that I enjoy very much are Ranma 1/2, Tenchi Muyo!, Ah! Megami-sama, and X as well as the wonderful movie Mononoke-hime.
Where did "Belldandy" come from? This is placed in various places among my page as well, but I'll answer it here anyway. Belldandy is one of the main characters in "Ah! Megami-sama." She is a goddess who was accidentally summoned by Keiichi, a college student, and now because of a wish he made she has to stay with him forever. This is a cute story, and Belldandy is my favorite character from it.
Sailor Moon Faq: Who is Chibi Chibi? *spoiler* This is a spoiler question. If you don't want to know, then skip this. Chibi Chibi is actually Sailor Galaxia's star seed. When Sailor Galaxia absorbed Chaos into her body, she sent out her star seed in the form of Chibi Chibi.
Why doesn't anyone recognize the senshi's true identities? This answer is unknown. I have thought about this a couple times myself, and this is what I have come up with: There is a possibility that not very many people actually know what the senshi look like. When they are fighting, most of the people are either passed out or are in too much of a shock to pay attention. Rarely does someone see the senshi, and if they do its not very likely that they would actually know the girls personally to recognize who they are. Another option is, since Usagi's family has actually seen Sailor Moon a couple of times is that there could be some sort of magic energy around them that keeps people from recognizing them. Shingo has seen Sailor Moon more than once, and Ikuko, Usagi's mother, has seen her in the newspaper (in the manga.)
Why doesn't Sailor Moon use any of her weapons after she gets new ones? How come the senshi don't use their old attacks? My answer to this question is simply this: Why use an old weapon when you have one that's new and much better? All the new weapons are stronger and more powerful, she receives them after power-ups. However, she has used various attacks after she has received new, better attacks, such as using her Moon Tiara Action in the SuperS movie. Same goes for the other senshi. Once they have better attacks, they usually don't turn back to their weaker ones. However, the Outer Senshi never get new attacks, which seems rather unfair.
Why does Makoto where a different school uniform than everyone else? Depending on which version of the show or manga you refer to, this question may or may not have been answered. When Makoto transferred to the Juuban school after she moved, her new school didn't have a uniform that fit her since she is so tall. Therefore she simply wears the one from her old school. Both Minako and Rei have different uniforms because they go to different schools. Later on, when the outer senshi are introduced, they go to seperate schools as well. Later when the inner senshi go to high school, they all attend the same one except for Rei who stayed with her private Catholic school.
Is Fiore of the same race as Ail and Ann? This question is never answered, but in my opinion it is a "yes." Fiore's origin was never stated, and since he looks so much like Ail and Ann, there is a very good chance that they came from the same place. Since Ail and Ann managed to live after their tree died, I would assume that maybe a couple more did as well. *On another note, the same seiyuu who did the voices of Ail and Ann did the voices of Fiore and the Kisenian blossom.
Where does the story take place? Azabu Juuban area of Tokyo in Japan. There are actually a couple places in the story that are real in Juuban. The arcade where Motoki works is a real place. Several people have remarked that the senshi live in France because of the structure that resembles the Eiffel Tower. But no, that is the Tokyo Tower which bears resemblance to the Eiffel Tower. Rei's shrine, the Hikawa JInja is also an actual place in Tokyo. *Even though Naru's mother's jewerly store isn't a real place, its name "OSA-P" is a pun on the name of Naoko Takeuchi's editor.
Have the senshi ever killed a villain? Hmm, I have to think about this one. In the first season, it is a possibility that they killed Kunzite, but there is the argument that it was Kunzite's own attack that destroyed him. In the Sailor Moon dub, Queen Metallia was banished, yet believe she did die. Beryl was on the verge of death because of Tuxedo Kamen's rose and then Metallia possessed her body. In the R series, all the villains were killed or destroyed by the other villains, except for Esmeraude who was killed in her dragon form by the senshi, so this is arguable because they didn't know it was her. In S, the senshi never killed a villain and it is uncertain what happened to Master Pharoah 90 because the battle was never shown on screen. Who are the generals in the first season in relationship to Mamoru? In the manga, it is said that the four generals, Kunzite, Zoicite, Nephrite and Jedite, were Endymion's protectors in the Silver Millennium. They were his bodyguards of some sort, as well as his friends. Later in the manga, they are changed into stones (the ones that they represent) instead of being killed and from then on play several small roles throughout the story.
Are Kunzite and Zoicite really gay? And what about Michiru and Haruka? Fisheye? Yes, yes, and yes. In the DiC dub, Zoicite, who is the more feminine of the match was written into a female so their relationship wouldn't cause problems since the dub was written for six year olds and up. In the actual Japanese version both Kunzite and Zoicite are male. In the manga, however, they have no relationship. And for Haruka and Michiru, I cannot stress this enough. There are plenty of people who refuse to except this idea, or are repulsed by it. Be that as you may, but yes, Haruka and Michiru are lesbians, deal with it, they aren't actually cousins. Fisheye is definitely gay, as he wears dresses along with tutus and lingerie. He even falls in love with Mamoru.
Are the Sailor Starlights male or female? In the manga, the Starlights were always female. Seiya still had a crush on Usagi, if I remember correctly. In the anime, the story is slightly different. The Starlights are originally female, and are in search for the princess of their planet, Kakyuu. When they came to earth they disguised themselves as males. All the senshi are women, and have to be, to when they transform the change back into females. Their sailor fuku [uniform] are very different from the others, though.
Why are there Inner and Outer senshi? In science, there are actually inner and outer planets. Naoko Takeuchi used a lot of science and astrology when she wrote this story. The outer senshi are actually stronger than the inners. Jupiter, in science, is an outer planet. Either Naoko messed up here or she purposely wanted four inner and four outers.
How can Sailor Pluto be over one thousand years old and Setsuna is only nineteen or so? This is actually a very good question. This is one of those that I have tried to come up with an answer to, but I haven't really gotten a good explanation yet. My guess would be that Sailor Pluto is as old as time. (And I believe that is right, if I remember okay.) When the Silver Millennium was destroyed, Sailor Pluto would have been about 1,000 years old or so since the Silver Millennium took place in the year 1,000 B.C. When the senshi were killed and then reborn, Setsuna would have had a normal birthday as the other senshi, and during the S season had grown to the age of eighteen or nineteen. If anyone has another explanation I would love to hear it.
How many people actually know who the senshi really are? Not very many. The senshi and Tuxedo Kamen themselves, obviously. Not very many of the villains happen to know, actually. Motoki in the manga is aware ot their identities, and in the SuperS series a girl who had a crush on Mamoru knows of Usagi. Other than that, I don't think there are too many others.
Who is the strongest senshi? Sailor Moon or Sailor Saturn? You might have to decide this on your own. In my opinion, Sailor Moon is the strongest, rather than Saturn. I say this because Sailor Moon fights for love and justice, and while Saturn herself isn't evil, some of her powers have to do with death or destruction. Simply, I 've always thought to believe that goodness tends to prevail over evil, therefore giving Sailor Moon the upper hand. Still, if Saturn decideds to destroy the world then Sailor Moon is still dead. But again, Sailor Moon does eventually reach her true form, Sailor Cosmos, and could be inevitably stronger than anyone in the univierse. Another argument here is that Sailor Galaxia is the strongest senshi. I don't deny this, as the series itself claims her to be extremely powerful, yet since Sailor Moon did win the fight I would still say Moon is stronger.
How many senshi are there? This answer is unknown. In the manga it is said that there is an unknown amount of sailor senshi in the universe. The actual number wil never be known, but only the original ten plus the Starlights, Kakyuu, ChibiChibi, Galaxia and the Asteroid Senshi (only in the manga) are ever revealed.
Is there a Sailor Earth? No. In fanfics everywhere, people feel the need to introduce Sailor Earth and more often than not her name is Terra, and sometimes Mamoru's long-lost sister from the Silver Millennium. But no, Sailor Earth does not exist as Mamoru is the unofficial senshi of Earth.
