The Dead Moon Circus

Queen Neherenia is the villainess in the SuperS series in charge of the Dead Moon Circus. Once Neherenia used to rule her own kingdom, and every adored her for her beauty. Fearing the worst was to happen when she lost her beauty, Neherenia went to her mirror and asked it to show her future form. What she saw was a grotesque figure. Neherenia then learned that she would be able to keep her beauty if she ate the dream mirrors of people. She stole the mirrors from her court and turned them into lemures. Eventually, she was locked away by Queen Serenity of the White Moon Kingdom. During a solar eclipse, she escaped from her prison and to earth, vowing to destroy the people of the White Moon. She could not bear the earth's light (the sun) so she stayed inside the mirror realm to keep herself safe until the time came until she could break free. Covering the world with spiderwebs, blocking the sunlight, Neherenia escaped from the mirror using the power of the Golden Crystal which she took from Elios. In a battle with Sailor Moon, she was once again locked away when the powers that confined her before were triggered and she chose to stay alone in her mirror forever where she could remain beautiful instead of facing her ugly future.

Zirconia gives the Amazon Trio and the Amazoness Quartet their orders so she can please Queen Neherenia. Zirconia's happiness is to see Neherenia on the other side of the mirror. Neherenia is very powerful, mainly using illusions and deception, but fears she could be defeated by the Amazoness Quartet if they decided to challenge her all at once. She is respected by the Trio and disregarded by the Quartet. Her pet, Zirocon, a flaming eyeball with wings, flies about looking for pictures of their targets. She is eventually destroyed by Queen Neherenia.

The Amazon Trio are the first to try their hands at collecting dream mirrors and trapping Pegasus. They choose their victims by searching through photographs of women (and occasionally men) with beautiful dreams at their favorite bar. They try to get some-what close to their victims and then by counting to three trap and secure them onto boards and proceed to take out their dream mirror. When they find that the woman does not hold Pegasus inside their beautiful dream, they then try to kill the person, but are always intercepted by the Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Kamen. The Trio were created by Neherenia from animals. [Can you guess which ones? ^.^] The Trio were killed by a lemure, Mr. Magic Pierrot, sent by the Amazoness Quartet.

Tigereye is the first of the Trio to attempt their job. He is extremely vain, the most of the three as far as I see, and tries to use his "beauty" to attract the women he attacks. Some fall for it, some don't. Tigereyes always picks the younger women to attack [Reika, Naru, and old friend of Makoto's, Chibi~usa's teacher, and Rei] unlike Fisheye and Hawkseye. The only time I especially like Tiger was when he stole Ami's dream mirror and wondered what true friendship was and if he had any true friends like hers.

Hawkseye is another member of the Amazon Trio. He always attacks old women, and mocks both Tigereye and Fisheye's tastes. Sometimes he seems to enjoy Tigereye's failures, and seems to mock him when things go wrong. Of course, he doesn't do much better himself when it comes to attacks and such. The only time I really liked Hawkseye was when he sacrificed himself to save Fisheye's life.

Fisheye is the last if the Trio. He doesn't attack women as his partners do, his tastes often turn to the male gender. He does this by either disguising himself as a woman, or a feminine man. Both of his partners scoff at his choices, and most of the time he isn't very bothered by it, yet there are a few times when he seems offended, at least a little. Fisheye is my favorite of the Trio. For a few episodes Fisheye started to doubt the Circus and wonder why he didn't have a beautiful dream. The answer came when Ziroconia told them that they were created from animals and were only going to keep human form until the next New Moon unless they used the power of the Golden Crystal to stay human. At this point, Fisheye is deeply in love with Mamoru and believes he holds the golden mirror in which Pegasus is hiding inside. He then goes to Mamoru and asks him that if he promises to keep Mamoru out of danger, if he would stay with Fisheye until the next New Moon. A favorite portrayal of his is sitting at the Trio's bar humming Moonlight Densetsu and putting on makeup.

The Amazon Quartet consists of four very childish girls who don't ever want to grow up because they believe that their dreams end when they become aduults.  CereCere, PallaPalla, VesVes and JunJun appeared right before the Amazon Trio were killed, and sent out the lemure that destroyed them. (Although, the lemure was created by PallaPalla's magical ball.)  Their powers are in the forms of their magical balls, given to them by Neherenia, allowing them to trust her. After their powers were taken from them, they were still able to use a little magic and tricked the Golden Crystal from Queen Neherenia and gave it to Sailor Moon. In the anime, the Quartet are changed into normal girls in the end, but in the manga they are revealed to be the Asteroid Senshi, created by Neo-Queen Serenity and Sailor Saturn to protect Chibi-usa in the future.

CereCere is the obvious leader of the Quartet. She likes flowers and the majority of her attacks and lemures are based around them, and she even does flower fortune telling. Her magical ball is yellow. She, like the rest of the Quartet, takes out a person's dream mirror by shooting her ball with a pool stick through the person's body.

VesVes is one of the toughest members of the Quartet. She was the one who challenged Zirconia by herself, with enough power that made Zirconia question her own. VesVes's magical ball is red.

JunJun is the third member of the Quartet. Sometimes she unconsciously helps her targets reach their dreams before she steals their dream mirrors. Her magical ball her green.

PallaPalla is the least mature of the Quartet. She talks using third person when referring to herself. Although she is childish, she has a dark side. When playing with her dolls, one of them complained of a tooth ache. To sooth its pain, she tore its head off. PallaPalla's magical ball is blue, and she has the powers of Reverse Ball (used to change Sailors Moon and Chibimoon's forms) and she can control people using makeshift dolls of them.
