The Deathbusters
Professor Souichi Tomoe is a manical scientist who serves the entity called Master Pharoah 90. He was not always evil. He created a machine which would be able to exchange DNA and during his presentation of it, an entity, Geramatou, caused it to explode, killing everyone around including his wife Keiko and daughter Hotaru. Tomoe was the only one to survive. The entity appreared to him then and saved Hotaru's life and entered Tomoe's body through his right eye, therefore turning him into a 'daimon container.' Professor Tomoe then on created daimons for the deathbusters and was in charge of the organization to bring forth Master Phaorah 90 into the world and destroy it by bringing the Silence. Eventually the daimon left his body and was killed by Uranus and Neptune. Tomoe returned to normal and helped cleanse Mistress 9 from Hotaru.
Kaolinite is a deathbuster. She is in love with Professor Tomoe, therefore loyally doing anything he asks of her. She is in charge of finding three carriers of the pure heart crystals which hold the three Talismans. She failed many times, but eventually confronted the senshi on top of Tokyo Tower. During the battle, Kaolinite fell from the Tower, and she was presumed dead by the senshi although her body was never found. She appeared later as Kaori, Tomoe's housekeeper, as she was brought back from death by Tomoe. Eventually, she returned to her old self as Kaolinite and kidnapped Chibiusa for her heart crystal which was given to the Messiah of Silence to swallow, that awakened Mistress 9. She was killed by Mistress 9.
Eudial was very smart and the first member of the Witches 5. She took over Kaolinite's job in looking for the three Talismans which are contained in human's heart crystals. She used her gun to eject pure heart crystals out of a person body. She also created the Fire Buster, and Fire Buster II which were powerful additions to her weaponry. She succeded in discovering that Uranus and Neptune held two of the Talismans, as well as the true identities of some of the senshi. She tricked Uranus and Neptune into coming to the Marine Cathedral where she stole their pure hearts and took the Talismans. With a race between her and Sailor Moon to the Holy Grail, Sailor Moon won and Eudial escaped from the Cathedral only to drive off a cliff when Mimete removed the brakes from her van.
Mimete was next in line in the Witches 5 after she killed Eudial. Since the Talismans were found, she continued to try to collect pure hearts for awakening energy for the Messiah of Silence. She targeted famous male idols for pure hearts. She is bubbly and somewhat ditzy but she is very serious about her job and seems to have high respect from the professor. During an encounter with the senshi, she used Eudial's machine, Witches Electrical Warp, which allowed her to project into a giant television screen that made her ten times larger and ten times more powerful. However, she was lost when Terurun pulled the plug while she was inside the machine.
Terurun was only in two episodes and used her method of plants to collect pure hearts. She posed herself as a saleswoman and sold her special plants, Teruruns, to people for low prices. These plants, when in bloom, had the ability to steal pure hearts. Pluto discovered her plan and confronted her with Sailors Moon and ChibiMoon. Set to kill them, Terurun created a hyper-Terurun which destroyed her.
Viluy took over after Tellu. She lasted in one episode, and had a plan to collect mass quantities of pure hearts. She posed as Yuri, a student and Mugen Gauken High and during an exam at the school she took control of the computer systems and stole pure hearts from everyone taking the exam. She uses an attack called Mosaic Buster which uses electrical charge. With her scientific knowledge, she created nanorobots which are controlled with her arm bracelet. Super Sailor Moon destroyed the bracelet with her Rainbow Moon Heart Ache attack, and the nanorobots turned on Viluy and killed her.
Cyprine and Ptilol are two of the strongest Witches 5, but are considered "One Witch." Their main source of power comes from their staffs. Cyprine appeared first, and during a battle with the inner senshi, Ptilol appreared to fight along with her twin. During the fight, Mars distracted Cyprine and Jupiter distracted Ptilol. Mercury used the Shabon Spray to make the room foggy. When the two twins thought they had finally cornered their enemies, they ended up being turned around in the fog and unknowingly aimed their powers at each other, each killing the other sister.
Mistress 9 is the evil entity who possessed Hotaru, turning Hotaru in the Messiah of Silence. When Hotaru swallowed Chibiusa's heart crystal, the power of the crystal awakened Mistress 9 inside Hotaru's body and Mistress 9 took control. Hotaru was still alive inside Mistress 9 and the body began to reject Mistress 9's inhabitance in it. Because of this, Mistress 9 managed to trick Sailor Moon into giving her the Holy Grail. Gaining new strength, Mistress 9 opened the hole for the deathbusters' leader, Master Pharoah 90. Eventually, within her body, Hotaru was able to override the entity and become Sailor Saturn. Mistress 9 was destroyed. Sailor Saturn then defeated Master Pharoah 90 with some help from Sailor Moon. Saturn was givin the power of destructionand creation, and during the battle against Pharoah 90 she reverted form into an infant.
