Ten'ou Haruka is the Pretty Soldier Sailor Uranus. She is in a very close relationship with Michiru, Sailor Neptune. Haruka loves racecar driving, and wins every race she's in. She drives a yellow sports car, and also plays the piano and often accompanies Michiru on her violin. She goes to Mugen Gauken High School and wears the boys' uniform rather than the girls'. She has a soft spot for Usagi, and calls her odango-atama ("dumpling head").
It's particularly funny when the inners first meet Haruka, and they think, of course, that she's male. She's with the Michiru at the time, and when they next see Michiru she's again with Haruka, but this time Haruka has her jacket off so she looks much for feminine. Haruka's expression is humorous when Usagi, Makoto, Minako and even Rei all ask Michiru where "the handsome man" is. ^.^
As Sailor Uranus, Haruka is very protective of Sailor Moon. At first, she and Neptune despised the inners, as they were always "getting in the way." Their mission was to find the three talismans, hidden within a human's heart crystal. When they discover that Usagi is Sailor Moon, they take her locket so she can't transform. Usagi then follows them to the Marine Cathedral where they are going to fight Eudial. At first, Neptune is killed (it's sad..she died trying to save Uranus) and it is revealed that she is the holder of one of the talisman. Haruka then turns Eudial's fire buster gun on herself, in order to get her talisman, the Space Sword. Pluto came then, and brought them back to life (but they weren't completley dead to begin with, but just barely). At the end of the S season, they didn't believe that Sailor Moon was the true messiah, so they battled her, and Moon won. They then swore their allegiance to Moon, and left until Sailor Stars.
