Chiba Mamoru is Tuxedo Kamen. He is Usagi's lover, boyfriend and husband in the past, present, and future, respectively. Mamoru is very intellegent and admired by his classmates. He eventually goes to school at Harvard. Mamoru has a motorcycle and lives alone in a nice apartment. His parents were killed in an awful car accident. While he was at the hospital recovering from the crash, he first met Usagi, and she gave him a rose to commemerate her brother's birth. After the hospital, Mamoru lived at an orphanage until he was old enough to get a job and live on his own. In the R movie, Usagi asks him if he was lonely living all by himself without his family. Mamoru replies that it's all right now because Usagi is his family, and it was like he was waiting alone for all those years just to meet her.
In the past, Mamoru was Prince Endymion of earth. In the furture he is destined to become King Endymion and rule Crystal Tokyo with Neo-Queen Serenity.
Tuxedo Kamen (Tuxedo Mask) is Mamoru's battle form. He has a cane to fight with, and his basic attack is a throwing a red rose at an enemy, either halting an attack or a couple of times stabbing. In the first season, Mamoru was brainwashed by the Dark Kingdom and turned evil, battling against the senshi for the ginzuishou. Sailor Moon healed him, and directly after Queen Beryl killed him. In the first arc of R, before he regains his memory of is past life, the essence of his soul established itself intoTsukikage no Knight, the replacement fighter for Tuxedo Kamen. In Stars, he was killed early off in the season after he left for college. Once Galaxia is defeated, his is brought back to life like everyone else. In the last episode of the series, he and Usagi got married.
