[Scene: A laboratory in the middle of a city.]
[Inside somewhere is a small room. In this room is a modest TV, a couch for three or
four facing the TV and a small coffee table. On the wall to the left of the couch is a tube
the runs from the ceiling down to a second table. The rest of the room is bare. From
somewhere in the lab a klaxon alarm goes off. Several minutes pass. Then the door to
the room opens and in walks a vanilla colored chow chow. The dog looks around the
room then closes the door with a hind foot. Soon footsteps can be heard running past
outside the room. The dog lays down. Several minutes later the door opens again to let
in a tall skinny guy looking to be around the age of 19. His hair is short and dark brown.
He wears cargo pants, black running shoes and a plain black tee shirt. In his hand is a
small cardboard box.]
Ray: Man, can this be the place? [Looks around the room] Hello? I have a delivery here
for someone in room 209. Hello? {He sees the dog.] Oh hey there pup. I don't suppose
you ordered this?
Dog: No.
[Ray jumps and almost drops the box.]
Ray: I'm losing it? I could have sworn I heard that mutt talk.
Dog: I meant what I said. And my name is Loki, not "mutt".
Ray: But how can you . . .? I mean, you're a . . .
Loki: Have you forgotten where you are?
Ray: A lab, right. Ok, but if you didn't order this then who did?
[Before Loki can reply the door opens again and in walks two people, a woman and
another guy. The woman is about 18, 5'8" with straight strawberry blonde hair that falls
around her shoulders. She is wearing jeans and a blue sweater. The guy behind her is
slighter taller and older with short black hair and black eyes. The black contrasts
somewhat with his pale features. He is wearing also wearing jeans and his shirt is dark
green with an undefined logo on the front. They look around the room and notice Ray.]
Woman: Hi, my name is Megan? What's yours?
Ray: My name is Ray. What are you two doing here?
Guy: We are answering an ad that said reviewers were needed for an experiment at Box
Elder Labs. It said it paid well and both Megan and I needed the money. My name is Joe
by the way. Are you here for the experiment too?
Ray: No, I'm was just delivering this package when I ran into him. [points at Loki]
Loki: Hello, my name is Loki.
Megan: What the . . .
Joe: A talking dog. Interesting.
Ray: You don't seem surprised Joe.
[Before he can answer a "whoosh" sound is heard and a piece of paper drops from the
tube onto the table. Ray walks over and picks it up. It reads, "Welcome to Box Elder
Labs. You four are just in time to start my very first experiment in fan fiction. For this I
have chosen a Neon Genesis Evangelion piece. If you choose to stay then you will be
duly compensated for your time. All I require of you is to watch the fan fiction that I
have selected. For this first time, reviews won't be necessary.]
Loki: It seems like a good way to pass the time. Besides, Evangelion is my favorite
anime series.
Joe: Aren't fan fictions usually bad?
Megan: Yeah, but no one says we have to stay quiet during the viewing.
Ray: Ok but now what?
[Another note drops to the table. It reads, "Introduce yourselves to the camera then we
can begin." Up by the ceiling in the corner is a small video camera.]
Ray: Ok, sounds easy enough. My name is Ray. I'm a delivery boy for a small
packaging company. I have a love of fantasy and I read a lot. I was orphaned as a child
and I don't know who my parents are but I'm sure that a legacy of royalty or magic will
show up in my bloodline because that's how all fantasy stories seem to begin.
Megan: My turn. My name is Megan and I'm a traveler who got stuck on this plane
when my ship crashed. Basically, I come from a parallel Earth where war has been
eliminated, famine and disease are a thing of the past and everyone gets along. It's really
boring so I came here. I find this place far more interesting.
Joe: Well my name is Joe and I'm a probably the oldest here. For a time in my life I
played god like avatars in the Red Dragon Inn. I'm a regular extra in fan fics and my
favorite video game system is my old Colecovision. I have an extensive knowledge of
old video games and movies.
Loki: I guess that leaves me. My name Loki and I'm a thoroughbred chow chow. I grew
up here in Box Elder Labs where I was genetically altered to talk. That's about it.
[All four move to the couch. Megan sits in the middle between Ray and Joe. Loki sits on
the floor next to Ray. The screen lights up.]
>Greeting all fan-fiction fans and authors.
Loki: And riffers.
All: [cheer]
>Here is my first fan-fic. It deals with what might happen if the Third Impact was
>reversed after beginning.
Megan: This fic would never be written thus ending our immediate future pain and
suffering.
Ray: We wish.
>It also features a new 4th child Anthony Draven. The main reason for his creation
>is that I noticed that mostly, when some one writes a fan fic Shinji gets Asuka
>or Rei and the other is left in the cold.
Loki: Maybe that has something to do with them being the main characters.
Joe: Naw that can't be it.
Ray: Unless it's a lemon in which case Shinji gets both of them.
Loki: Yeah, in the tamer ones.
>I believe all them saw too much pain and deserve some joy so I created a new
>child to solve that problem.
Megan: That's not solving the problem.
Joe: Isn't that kind of like shooting the horse to cure it's limp?
Ray: This guy must have a weird definition of "joy".

Megan: [Anthony] Ha! Fooled you.

Ray: What? Did he write Chapters 4, 5, and 6 already?
>Asuka woke up in a cold sweat.
Loki: [Asuka] I dreamt I was in a crappy fanfic!
>Her nightgown clung to her body.
Ray: [Leers at the screen]
Megan: Oh please. She's 14.
>Her breath was slightly ragged as she shook the remains of the nightmare away.
>Beside her the 4th Child, Anthony Draven,
All: Self-Insertion!
Ray: This early?
>stirred in his sleep.
Joe: He's sleeping next to Asuka? That takes guts.
>In the weeks that followed the false Third Impact
Loki: [strained] False Third Impact?
Ray: Sorry there buddy. Looks like your favorite series is going down.
>they had grown very close. Asuka though of the other couple that had grown close,
>Shinji and Rei. After everything that had happened she felt they all deserved some
>happiness.
Megan: Asuka and happiness are not two words I'd put in the same sentence.
>Asuka looked at her newfound boyfriend.
Joe: He's Asuka's girlfriend? That's more then guts. That's insanity.
Ray: Well the author is barely a paragraph into the story and already he's contrived Third
Impact out of existence and corrupted all three main characters as well as adding a new
one.
>She remembered what had made them so close.
Ray: Plot contrivance. I just told you.
>| TWO WEEKS AGO|
Joe: [makes swirl motions with his hands]
Megan: What are you doing?
Joe: Flashback.
Ray: [Asuka] Two weeks ago. I remember it like it was yesterday.
>Asuka slammed the door to her room. She was furious.
Loki: Mad even.
>That bastard Shinji and the bitch Rei.
Ray: Not just any bitch. The bitch.
>How DARE they!
Joe: [Asuka] They were breathing without my permission!
>On her way home from school, she was walking with Hikari as usual. They passed
>Hikari's building, Asuka continued alone.
Ray: Hikari was mugged by a run on sentence.
>She passed Rei's building, still unsure of why, she went up to Rei's apartment.
Loki: So she passed the building then went inside?
Ray: Then she tripped over the rouge comma.
Joe: I guess this is plot development.
>Upon find her apartment and opening the door
Megan: [Asuka] I am the mighty Asuka! I don't need to knock!
> she saw a shocking scene. Shinji and Rei were on Rei's bed together, while they were
> still clothed, it didn't look like they planned to stay that way.
Ray: Behind them lurked the run on sentence that got Hikari.
Joe: So they didn't plan to stay on the bed?
>Asuka made eye contacted with Rei who ignored her.
Megan: I wish I could ignore people while looking at them.
Loki: This is Rei he's talking about.
>Asuka stormed out without say a word or disturbing them.
Ray: I'd say her walking in for no reason is disturbing.
Joe: Considering she couldn't care less about what Rei does anyway.
Ray: Besides, she wouldn't pass up the chance to yell.
If Shinji wanted that doll so badly then he could have her.
Megan: [Asuka] I didn't want the Malibu Barbie anyway.
>Later that night Asuka was still fuming, even more when Shinji had returned home
>as if nothing happened. When Anthony asked why Shinji was late, he made story
>about being at school.
Joe: [Shinji] Uh yea. I was at school. That was someone else on top of Rei.
Megan: [Asuka] How'd you know about Rei.
Joe: [Shinji] Oh damn. You caught me.
>She wanted to beat him into tell what he had really been up to.
Ray: Can, could, would, and should.
>In her room Asuka began to trash it in her rage.
Megan: You know. It.
>Misato was gone for the night and so was Shinji.
Loki: So Shinji came home and was gone for the night?
Ray: Maybe he left again.
>Misato was on night duty and Shinji had just disappeared, Asuka suspected he had
>gone to Rei's.
Ray: See. He came home from Rei's then went back.
Megan: [Shinji] Whoops, left my condoms in my other pants.
Loki: [to Megan] Don't make me bite you.
>That made her even angrier.
Joe: [Weatherman voice] Tropical storm Asuka has been upgraded to Hurricane Asuka.
>She thrashed widely knocking things over
Megan: Is she having a seizure or a heart attack?
>until she heard a voice call out "Asuka?" Asuka turned to see Anthony standing in her
>doorway, a worried look on his face.
Loki: He's committing suicide!
All: Hooray!
"GET OUT" she yelled
"What's wrong?" he took a step into the room.
Joe: [Hank Hill voice] That boy's not right.
>"GET OUT"
>"No, Not till I find out what's going on" he came closer
Megan: I know one thing he'll find out.
Loki: That's the last thing he's ever going to see.
>"Take one more stepped and I'll beat you sense less"
>"I'm already senseless"
Ray: No no no. You've got it all wrong. We riff the fic.
>He took another step and Asuka laid into him with a right hook.
All: [cheery wildly]
Joe: [holds a sign saying "Go Asuka!"]
>He was staggered but didn't fall. So Asuka continued to beat him.
>Punches rained on his head and body
Loki: [Anthony] Drat! I forgot my umbrella.
>Finally after about ten punches he fell to the ground.
Megan: He was counting?
Ray: 10? This guy has never been punched before has he?
>"That'll teach you" said Asuka.
Joe: Asuka 3:16 says I just whooped your ass.
>Anthony stood up, his eyes locked with Asuka's
Ray: No I'd just say he's an idiot.
Joe: Stay down!
>Asuka's continued the beating,
Loki: How many are there?
Joe: By now he's probably seeing more then one.
>Anthony just stood there take every punch, not even defending himself.
Megan: [yelling] Thank you sir, may I have another!
>Through the punches he could see tears forming in Asuka's eyes
Joe: [Asuka] Transparent Fist Attack!
>he could feel her blows having less and less force. He went down a second time
>Asuka looked at him with blurry eyes
>
Loki: No. I'd say it's that idiotic spirit of his.
Megan: Someone with a fighting spirit would fight back.
>Her body was trembling as he got up a second time and looked her in the eyes
Ray: And then knocked the snot out of her.
>She went to punch him again but she couldn't bring her self to throw it.
Loki: I don't like where this is going.
Joe: You'd think he would be unconscience by now.
>Her anger was spent
Megan: How much does an anger get you these days?
Joe: About 10 punches and two knockouts.
>now there was only hurt, sadness. Asuka collapsed into the 4th child
Loki: When did Touji show up?
>sobbing
>Anthony held her as they collapsed to the ground.
Ray: That's 3 for Anthony. TKO.
>"That's it, let it out" he whispered to her "let it all out"
Loki: [Anthony] Not on the carpet! Damnit, that's going to stain.
Ray: You should talk, fluff ball.
>Asuka was crying, "I don't know why you're doing this.
Joe: [Anthony] I'm a masochist.
>I'm pathetic"
Megan: No you're a raging bi-
Loki: Don't you dare.
>"Don't say that"
>"It's true. I'm weak and pathetic"
Joe: [Asuka] You made me like this.
Megan: No one will get that.
>"No you're not. Even the strongest willed people need to cry,
>when the pain is great. It's a sign of caring not weakness"
>"I saw them"
Ray: Huge ants!
>"Who?"
Loki: [Asuka] You know. Them.
>"Shinji and Rei, they were....were"
Megan: Knocking boots.
Joe: Doing the horizontal polka
Ray: Playing "Hide the Snake"
Loki: [aside] Humans.
"Never mind. I can guess. Does it hurt that badly to see them like that?"
"Why would Shinji want that doll, with me here?"
Ray: That's not an answer.
Joe: [singing] You can brush my hair. Undress me anywhere.
>"Those two have a bond, something neither of us understands and perhaps never
>will"
>"It's not fair! Everyone has some one who loves them, Except me.
Megan: Yea. Asuka's real easy to love.
Joe: In a raging ego kind of way.
>All I want is to be loved."
>Anthony felt a stab of regret. He should have told her how he felt long before
>this.
Ray: Maybe before she started beating the snot out of him.
>"Asuka, I wanted to tell you some thing for a long time"
Joe: [Cartman voice] I really hate you Asuka.
>Asuka looked up into his green-brown eyes
Loki: Which would make them hazel but nevermind.
>"I....I.....I love you"
>Asuka felt a dam in her heart break and emotion flooded out.
Megan: I'm feeling a dam in my stomach break.
>She reached up and
Ray: Killed him.
>kissed him. Anthony was surprised but didn't back away.
>When they broke
Joe: [Asuka] Ouch!
Loki: That was dumb.
>Asuka rested her head against him, with his arms around her.
Megan: Right out of page 49 in the Kama Sutra.
>"Anthony?"
>"Yes?'
>"I like this. Can we stay like this for a while?"
Ray: [Anthony] No.
Joe: [Asuka] Beating the snot out of you is so tiring.
>"Of course Asuka, of course"
>Anthony pulled a pillow and a blanket of Asuka's bed. He placed the pillow
>behind his head and leaned back against the bed.
Megan: Now they moved on to page 52.
Loki: And how do you know so much about it?
Megan: . . .
>The he wrapped the blanket around the two of them
>Soon both fell asleep still curled together and that is how Misato found them in
>the morning when she
Ray: Staggered in drunk.
>came home, but she let them be not wanting to disturb what
>seem to be one of the few happy times the pilots had.,
Joe: The End? Please?

Joe: Crap.
>Asuka finished recalling the events,
Loki: [Asuka] Whew. I'm winded.
>she looked at her boyfriend as he turned in his sleep. Another memory surfaced.
Ray: Then drowned.
>One from a week ago, when she learned about Anthony's past and horrible secrets.
Loki: [bored] The suspense.

>Misato was going out to dinner with Kaji and Ritsuko.
Megan: If you call alcohol a meal.
> Shinji was planning to slip out and go to Rei's,
Joe: Who does he think he's fooling?
>so the two would be alone. Anthony seemed ready to chill out for the evening but

Loki: That bodes.
Ray: [Asuka] Time to enact my master plan.
Megan: [Asuka] Muahahahaha.
>Misato bid them all goodnight. Anthony and Shinji walked into Shinji's room.
Joe: [Shinji] Do you mind? I'm trying to sneak out here.
>"Take care bro." said Anthony "Oh and take these"
>Anthony handed Shinji a packet of what looked like mints
>"Hey! These aren't..." asked Shinji
Megan: It's bubble gum.
>"Yeah they are."
Loki: No wait. I'm confused. Are they mints or not?
>"Where'd you get them?"
>"From Misato. I think she maybe getting wise to what's going on"
Megan: Of course Misato would have lots of "mints"
Ray: [Misato] They were just lying around. Really.
>"What should I do?"
Loki: [Anthony] Make her say 'Uh"
>"YOU should go se Rei, I'll leave the window unlocked
Ray: As opposed to the door.
>so you can get back in"
>"Thanks Anthony, I owe you"
Megan: [Anthony] Why so formal? Just call me by my nickname.
Joe: [Shinji] Tony?
Megan: [Anthony] No. Shameless plot contriving self-insertion.
>"No you don't. If you never left then I could never be alone with Asuka"
>Anthony grinned
Ray: He must like pain.
>"What do you...? You mean you two are...?'
Loki: [Shinji] Why can't I finish...? What's wrong with...?
>"Why not? You and the First Child aren't the only ones suffering from ragging
hormones"
Megan: This fic is suffering from raging crappiness.
>Shinji blushed "So how is Asuka in, uh, well you know"
Ray: [Anthony] Aside from the whips, chains, and small furry rodents; not to bad.
Megan: Oh for the love of . . .
>Anthony laughed "Get going you twit, Never mind about my sex life"
>earlier was very suspicious>
Joe: [Anthony] Did I just say that or think it?
Megan: [Anthony] Time to lay off the weed.
>Shinji disappeared into the night and Anthony walked out of the room
>"Where's Shinji?" asked Asuka
Ray: [Anthony] Gone to get laid.
>"Slipped out already"
>"I didn't hear him"
>"Yonder, Third Child has great motivation for learning the arts of stealth"
Joe: [Yoda voice] No sense that sentence makes.
>Anthony walked over to the TV and tried to get the remote from Pen Pen
Ray: [Anthony] Hey Asuka, bring me a beer.
>"May I?"
>Pen Pen squawked at him
>"Guess not"
Loki: So he can speak Penguinese?
Megan: [Anthony] You dumb bird, I'm the SI around here. Give me the remote.
>Asuka can up behind him. She placed her arms around his neck
Ray: And applied a chokehold.
>"Forget the TV I've got a better idea"
Joe: [Asuka] How about a rematch?
>Anthony had a strange feeling about this
Loki: [Anthony] Oh crap, another trip to the bathroom.
>"Uh, what did you have in mind?"
>"Well you see, we're a couple but we haven't done anything yet"
>Anthony turned around so he was looking into her eyes
>"What do you want to...."
>"I've got some whipped cream in my room, so......"
Ray: Dessert before the main course?
>"Uh, well, I ."
>Sorry, I don't take no for an answer" said Asuka
Loki: But maybe will do
>She grabbed him by his collar and pulled him into her room.
Ray: [Anthony] Oh god the last time I was in there, it took 2 weeks to get out.
>|Later That Night|
>Asuka woke up, needing to use the bathroom.
Joe: But forgot why on the way
>On her way back to the room she checked Misato's room. It was empty, then she
>checked Shinji's, which was also empty.
Loki: They slept in the bathtub again?
>Sometimes he and Rei would come here and stay in Shinji's room.
>There were time Asuka had a crazy idea of all four of them having a party, with Misato
>gone of course. She didn't want anything to do with Rei but was more interested in
>trading boys for a night. She wondered how the others would feel about it.
Joe: What the hell does that have to do with anything?
Ray: I imagine the author was daydreaming there for a second.
>Asuka entered the room
Megan: And remembered why she was heading to the bathroom.
>she smiled as she looked at her boyfriend sleeping peacefully
> she thought with a grin.
Joe: The bathroom?
>She kicked an empty whipped cream can
Ray: Into a corner with all the others.
>
>Suddenly Anthony began to shake and jerk There was a look of pain and anguish on his
face.
Joe: He was remembering last night.
>He was mumbling incoherently
Megan: Like this fic.
>Suddenly he shoot up screaming "NO!"
Joe: [Anthony] I'm caught in a crappy fan fic!
>Asuka watched as he sat up, his body shaking as if he were cold and couldn't get warm.
>He stood up and walked past Asuka, into the kitchen. Asuka followed him, worried, she
>had never seen him like that.
Loki: Watch Asuka go OOC by the second.
>She followed him into the kitchen. Asuka found him sitting at the table with a can of
hot tea, still shaking
>"Anthony?"
Megan: [Anthony] I already told this to Shinji. Shameless plot contriving self-insertion.
Joe: Calm down Megan.
>He looked up
>"Asuka, sorry if I scared you"
>"What happened?" she reached out, touching his arm
>It jerked away involuntary
Ray: You should get that checked.
>"No. My body hasn't calmed down yet.'
Loki: [Asuka] Not again Anthony. I have a headache.
>Asuka sat down next to him, careful not to touch him
Joe: [Asuka] Boy cooties!
>"What happened? I've never seen you like this"
Ray: What? Screwed up like the rest of the cast of Evangelion.
Loki: [growls]
>"That's cause we've never shared a bed before" he said with a slight grin
>What happened?"
>"A familiar nightmare. One about......
Megan: [Anthony] My coming out.
Ray: [Anthony] Dating a red headed psychotic
Joe: [Anthony] Not being able to perform.
Loki: [Anthony] Writing a crappy fan fic.
>my past"
>"Can you tell me about it?"
Joe: [Anthony] Why not? It's only my most personal, hidden, painful, experiences.
Ray: [Asuka] Oh, I thought it was something important.
>"I suppose I should. You have a right to know. You are my girlfriend after all. Maybe
>it will help."
>"So, what's the nightmare?"
>"First I must explain my past. The story isn't that different from Shinji's. I
>lost my real parents when I was two. they we killed.
Megan: You killed your parents?
Joe: I wonder who helped him.
>some people say I witnessed their death but I don't remember and no body would tell
>me how they died.
Joe: Dead bodies tell no tales.
>Some times at night I can still hear their screams. I have no other
>memory except for those screams, save for the pendent I wear around my neck"
Megan: Wow, he's right. That's just like Shinji's past except it's not.
>"That strange cross?"
Joe: [Anthony] The inscription reads "Belmont".
>"Yeah, I was always told one of my parents wore it during their teen years. So
>now I wear it. Anyway, after my parents died I was taken in by Dr. Serwan and
>his wife.
Loki: [Anthony] Then we killed them too.
>Both worked for the NERV branch in the US I lived in New York-2
>where the NERV HQ was.
Megan: Nevermind that it was really in Nevada.
>When I was four Mrs. Serwan disappeared. I was told she was dead but again no one
>told me how. After that Dr. Serwan became a shell of a man.
Joe: [Austin Powers voice] No, this is me in a nutshell. Help, I'm in a nutshell.
>Similar to Commander Ikari, he was like a flesh and blood robot, no emotion at all, he
>just existed. So I stayed out of his way. I really didn't have any friends, not until three
>days before I left for Tokyo-3. There was a bully in my high school. He really got off
>on beating younger kids.
Megan: Um, shouldn't the police have something to say about that?
>One day I saw him bulling a young girl
Ray: [Stan voice] Dude, this is ****** up right here.
>and I just went berserk, I guess all those years of feeling helpless kind of made me
Loki: [Anthony] Pee my pants.
>snap. I attacked him. The fight was hard, every time I was knocked down all I could
>think of, was that if I stayed down I was admitting I was helpless so I kept getting up. I
>eventually did win the fight.
Ray: By falling down?
Joe: [Black Knight] Come back here you coward. I'll bite your kneecaps off.
>The other kids cheered me, called me a champ.
Megan: Way to go coward; I mean champ.
>It felt good to finally have people thinking about me. However it was not to last. Two
>days after I won the fight Dr. Serwan took me to work with him. He said it was time for
>me to face my destiny.
Joe: As an annoying self-insertion.
>I was taken to a chamber below the surface and was shown Evangelion units-03 and 04.
Loki: They were in Nevada; not New York!
Ray: Calm down pup.
Loki: [glaring] Pup?
>I was told to choose my weapon, for I was one of the elite, selected by fate to fight for
>the future of humanity.
Megan: [Moe] Whatever you do, don't throw a punch. Just let him get tired by hitting
you.
>Fate had a different idea. While this was going on a robot who was supposed to
>replaced Jet Alone was being tested in New Yrok-2.
Joe: So it was supposed to replace a robot that was supposed to be a replacement for Eva
except Eva never got replaced?
Ray: [Computer Salesmen] I'm sorry your robot is two weeks old. It's obsolete so you
need to upgrade.
>It went berserk and attacked the city. In NY-2 we didn't have the shelters we've got
>here so people could only head to their basements for safety. One of the robots energy
>blast scored a critical hit on NERV HQ.
Joe: 10,000 points.
>Tons of concrete was sent down on top of us. I was safe but Dr. Serwan was hurt badly.
Megan: Cry me a river.
Ray: Getting a little mean aren't we?
Megan: You're reading the same fic I am right?
>Unit-03 was damaged so I jumped into Eva-04 and went up to fight the robot.
Loki: [Anthony] My battle plan was simple. I was going to let the robot beat the snot out
of me while I fell down until I won.
>The battle was rocky. I didn't know how to fully control Eva-04 so I went down a lot.
All: [burst out laughing but eventually calm down.]
>The robot taunted me. It had been programmed with an AI and was able to think for
>itself. It killed many people, just to taunt me"
Ray: [Anthony] But I was determined to keep falling down until I won.
>"Oh my god"
>"The worst part was, when we landed near the school. The robot knew hat it was,

Joe: [ghostly voice] The third will come at midnight.

>She put her ear to the wall and listened. Asuka heard nothing,
Loki: The sound of one hand clapping.
Megan: Or in Asuka's case; slapping.
Loki: No, that's Rei.
>Shinji and Rei must be asleep. She put her head down
Ray: [teacher's voice] Bad girl Asuka. Put your head down on your desk.

Loki: And there it is folks. Comic relief.
Joe: I'll tell you the relief. That's the end.
All: Yay!
[Everyone gets up, ready to run out of the room and the lab to freedom. The sound of
another note falling causes them to stop. It reads, "Open the box." Megan picks up the
box and opens it. Inside is money for the three humans and Loki's ownership papers. A
piece of paper reads, "Thanks for participating in this experiment for me. Here is your
compensation. If you choose to I'd like to continue the experiments at later dates with
new fan fics." Everyone looks at each other then around the room.]
Megan: Well, I can use the money. [Looks at Ray]
Ray: Delivery isn't paying what it used to. [Looks at Joe]
Joe: I guess it's not that painful. [Looks at Loki]
Loki: I'm free. I'm getting as far from this place as possible.
[Loki grabs the ownership papers in his mouth and runs towards the door. However, he
stops at the threshold to freedom and looks back. The others are watching him go with
solemn looks on their faces Loki pauses then turns.]
Loki: Ah hell. This review group needs a little intelligence.
Megan, Ray, and Joe: Great!
Joe: Let's go get a drink. After that I think we deserve it.
[All four leave.]
