Introduction to FF
"Final Fantasy"(or FF) is the best RPG series of all time. The first
three, FF1(I), FF2(II) and FF3(III) were
released on Famicom(NES) and later FF4(IV), FF5(V) and FF6(VI) released
on Super Famicom(SNES). Right now
the latest FF games are on the PlayStation, with FF7(VII) and the newest
of Final Fantasy VIII.
All Final Fantasy series have some similarity (with some exceptions),
though their stories don't
connect.
Some common things you can find in FF world:
1.Crystals all over the world that controls the nature. Basically
there are four: Wind, Water, Fire, and
Earth crystals.
Exceptions: there are more crystals in FF4,
and there's no crystal in FF2, FF6, FF7, and FF8.
2.Technology is between Medieval and Near Future: The fights
are done with sword and magic, yet
there is ancient technology (in FF3, FF4,
and FF5) that controls incredible machines, and modern
technology (in FF6, FF7, and FF8) that balance
off or mix up with magic.
3.There are a few symbolic figures that appear in most Final
Fantasy series: Chocobo, Cid,
Airships, submarines, Moogles, etc.
