This guy is the best ^_^ During the second or third episode Touji punch's Shinji because he found out that he was the pilot of the Evangelion, his little sister was crushed when Shinji first went out with the Eva. When Touji and Kensuke go out when Shinji is battling an Angel, they have to go into the entry plug for their safety, Touji realises the pain Shinji goes through and feels sorry for him. Touji becomes one of Shinji's best friends, later in the series Touji is picked to be the 4th Child. Although he didn't seem to be very impressed he still piloted it anyway. But when they were doing an activation test with Unit 3 they found that an Angel had infected the Eva and was destroying everything. Shinji, still unaware of who's piloting the Eva, was ordered by Gendo to destroy it, Shinji refuses, so they put in the dummy plug, Unit 1 completely destroys Unit 3, including the entry plug with Touji in it! Shinji finds out who it is when they retrieve the body and gets really pissed and doesn't want pilot an Eva again. Touji ends up losing an arm and a leg.
