The crescent moon holds the world in a million shades of blue The stars twinkle like tiny secret diamonds. Are they really the dreams that never come true?
One last glance in the mirror, then a flick of her wrist... She closes the door behind her, knowing her exquisite charm and beauty no man could ever resist
Nervous, yes, but you would be, too If you're meeting your secret lover without your father knowing He's asleep, and has been for a while, But she still couldn't help her guilt from growing
Away, run swift like a drop of water from one's finger Do not hesitate, for it's far too late to turn home Take heed of your tracks, be careful and swallow the guilt You mustn't be late, or he'll leave you: again alone
Up the stairs, to "the place" They both knew it well Where the lamp light is dim And they're alone as far as they can tell
But she is now in the deserted garden An ominous growl from the heavens indicating rain She is all alone in the dark, tears dribbling down her cheeks Like tea off a crystal ball, revealing her pain
"All the guilt that I have suffered just to find that he is not here?" Her dark pink lips quivered and longed for his touch And then her knight in shimmering armor suddenly appeared And whispered, "My god, I've missed you so much."
She turned around to find his smile Familiar and warm as a puppy she had to leave but return to after working His hand caressed her cheek and curls Making her face feel softer than a rose in the first rays of sun in Spring
His eyes told her, "I love you." His lips slightly parted She remembers how the first time, this was where she tensed But now she knew the procedure And closed her eyes, feeling him come closer His lips touched hers to reveal the most indescribably romantic experience
Just then, her father and two police cars Find just where they are Forcing them to separate They arrest her sweet lover and take him away "This is unfair!" she screamed Though she knew it was fate
A month passes by, her lover in jail The jury knows what punishment he should receive Four months in prison with only one visitor per two weeks But then he would be let free
Yes, the girl visited every chance that she could, Though she knew her father hated him for the past But the four months passed by, though slower than Winter And he was freed again at last
"My daughter," the father warned with his strictest deep voice, "You must never sneak out again with that boy!" She wanted to stand up and declare her love, But her father was strong and intimidating She promised herself she would never sneak out again For she knew her father would do something crazy and outstanding
But, as predictable as the night, She was possessed to sneak out again Her mind put up a fight But she just had to see him
Once she got to "The spot" Her lover was, of course, waiting patiently "I thought...I was about to lose hope," he confessed. "I couldn't leave you when I know how you feel about me."
She then confessed her love And their kiss must have made history But then a dark man with a gun sneaked up suddenly
"Look out!" the boy yelled, jumping in front of his lover The bullet shot out, echoing from the gun of the father "NO!" the girl screamed all too late Her father laughed evilly, quivering with hate
She rushed to her love's side, blood gushing from his chest "I...love....you," was all he could choke out before his eternal rest
One miserable week went by The girl never swallowed anything but air Her eyes were forever red and blank For her life she didn't care
She went to her bedside Kneeling down on the soft carpet She took out a crimson velvet bag Which she had never opened....yet
She escaped to "The place" To the exact spot where her lover had died It was about midnight now And she was screaming inside
She placed a scarlet rose on the spot she guessed was where his heart last lay She slowly opened her red bag; the moonlight reflected in the blade
When her father found her, the knife through her heart, The rose was caught in her back, which was slightly arched
Her father placed a red rose pedal to her lips. "I guess there was no cure "For a love as strong as this" |
