A fear of twilight Run away from the night In the morning, forgive All those unfaithful lies
And hear your heart shudder Reminisce of the nightmare Just hold back your dreams And complain, "It’s not fair."
Trying hard for optimism "Well, at least I survived." Just wait and see how you feel... Contemplating if you should still be alive (If only it all wasn’t real)
"Damn you!" your mind screams Your body heavy... Your faith, mercifully torn Feeling your soul start to tear Guilt passes over as you lay back, safe and warm I’ll awake in the morning And find this was just another nightmare |
