Ryonan Names and School Translation

Ryonan Names and School Translation

You are my guest, .

Ryonan

Ryo means 'imperial mausoleum; Emperor's tomb' and nan mean 'south'. So Ryonan means 'The south of the Emperor's tomb' or 'the south side of the imperial mausoleum'.
Ryonan color is blue so the kanji (chinese writing that is used in Japan unsimplified and pronounced in japanese style) is blue. Blue is the color of Detroit Piston but blue is the opposite color of red so it can mean antagonist or the main enemy person/team.

The players

#7 Sendoh Akira

Sen in Sendoh means 'god' and do (the correct pronouncation of 'doh') means 'road' and 'the way'. This can mean like the 'road to Chicago', or like 'the way of life'. So Sendoh means 'The way of the God or Gods' or 'The Holy Way'(Rukawa GF: Isn't he an angle ^_^). Akira means 'obvious'(Somehow this type of Akira kanji is for females?!?!?!?!?!) (Does this mean that he is obvious that he is holy *_*. Dr. Zero:Is he gay?!?! Hey!!!).
I think this means that he is very Holy (Won't this sparkle the eyes of Sendoh fan *o*) which does make a little sense. He is happy all the time and live a life with no worries. So this name fits his characteristics.

#4 Uozumi Jun (The first kanji only is Jun. Sorry but I couldn't find the one with just Jun only)

Uo in Uozumi means 'fish and zumi means 'live' or 'inhibit'. So Uozumi means 'Where the fish live' or 'fishes' home'. Jun means 'pure'.
Uozumi fits good for him cause his ancestors has been a cook in an restraunt that has been passed for generations. An restraunt in Japan, have a lot of fish because fish is the favorite food in Japan in histories and now. So an restraunt can mean 'where the fish live'(except the fishes that is in the restraunt will get SLAUGHTERED ^_^) a perfect name for a cook. I don't know about Jun. It is an nice name though.

#6 Koshino Hiroaki

The first kanji in Koshino means 'exceed: go beyond limits' and the second kanji means 'wild' 'barbaric'. Koshino means 'beyond the limit if the wild' or 'barbaric, uncivilized'. The first kanji in Hiroaki means 'vast' 'grand' and the second kanji means 'bright'. Hiroaki means 'very bright'.
Koshino doesn't fit him cause he isn't wild. But Hiroaki can fit him cause he seems to be smart and clever.

#13 Fukuda Kiccho

The first kanji means 'luck' and the second kanji means 'field' so Fukuda means 'field or land or luck'. Kic of Kiccho means 'lucky' and cho means trillion' so Kiccho means 'lucky omen(sign)'.
He is sure lucky. Fukuda could have gotten expelled for hitting a teacher. But he got suspended and return to basketball after the first game in the final four in the reginals (the odds of that is BIG)(But unusually, his number is #13, an unlucky number ^_^). And he also gets good cheers even for an ugly face.

#8 Uekusa Tomoyuki

Tomo means 'wisdom' 'intelligence' and yuki means 'grow' or just a helping word like 'of and 'it'. So tomoyuki means 'Intelligence'.
Couldn't find what Uekusa meant.
