NYLF: National Youth Leadership Forum on Defense,Intelligence and Diplomacy rocked!! 6 days was definitely not enough. Well it was enough of seminars, and lectures and long boring speeches but we still had a boatload of laughs! Contrasting dialects (It's See-rup okay?!), keeping eachother awake, "talks" on the phone, sexual innuendos, name tags, "rating," exploring buildings, playing with crazy glasses, "self-portraits," tickle-fights, pillow fights (and the medicine dispenstion afterwards), nearly getting caught everytime we did anything, and those crazy group meetings all made it worth the boughts of boredom! I had so much fun and made many friends...I have to give a big, beautiful, count out to all of them! My wonderful roommates...Alexis, Tori, Misty, Lyndi, and Amy and Washington Group (Mr. Pres and Senate Whip...two words...Peace Party), as well as the guys in room 101: Emre, Barry, Jason, Derek, and of course Wes who kept me from going all Southernly. Anyways, it was great fun and I highly suggest it to anyone who gets nominated!! God, all the crazy stories we packed into one week...I miss you guys muchly!!!!
RHPS OOoooh my God!!!!!! I've loved Rocky Horror Picture Show since I was little so seeing it on Broadway was like Disneyworld for me(though I've never been there). Last year I saw a midnight showing in the city for Jenna's Sweet Sixteen and the this year for Jess's we saw the Broadway play...It was amazing!!! Now, for those of you out there that "feel constricted by their virginity (I've always wanted to say that)" Rocky Horror is a sexy, rock musical. If you haven't seen it yet...go...go now! Anyways, it's famous for fan-ticipation which is where the audience yells and throws things that coincide with the film. Jeeze...there's so much I want to say about the play...well, Jess's Aunt Maureen took us (the woman is a GOD! we are Maureenists now), us being Jess, Lynne, Lizzy and myself, on January 6, 2000. That show brough new meaning to racing hormones. There was not an unattractive male in the cast (except the one phantom that was a little creepy)...Tom Hewitt and Jonathan Sharp were especially saucy. (Right lizzy?) Anyways...besides the ripped men in leather pants, high heels and bodices the show was still awesome. It wasn't quite like the movie...much more rock and roll. Joan Jett and Dick Cavett kicked ass. Granted, Dick Cavett did not sing. Go see the play and/or go to the webpage ROCKY HORROR!!! to be completely amazed!//Since this was posted I got to see RHPS in Cambridge with Lizzy, Alex, Jessi, and Funny boy when they came to visit me freshmen year.
Stuff I Like: cool Religious themed movies (I don't necessarily believe, I just like the concepts.), funny cheese movies, poetry, old rock, sugar based foods, cartoons, guys who jump when they spike, my pups and kittens (Ginger, Bebe, Momma, Snipes, Pixie, Dixie, Barry, Larry, Allie, the Boop, and that little black one.). I like going for walks and fooling around with my pals, walks in the park :)...being unproductive in general. //oh this is so old// I recently went to my first punk show (i think that's what it was...they've got all these names...) it was pretty cool...I suggest them to anyone with violent tendencies. Flogging Molly was the best show I've ever been to. Thanks for babysitting me Eric and Jim.
