Animemonster's Dragonball Z and GT Page

The Dragonball series is mainly about a group of Earthlings (Goku and Gohan don't know they're Saiyans yet) in their quests for the Legendary Dragonballs (seven in all) to make their wishes and dreams become reality. Later on in the series, Goku's brother shows up, calling him Cacarot. He explained that Goku was sent to Earth to transform into a hideous giant ape (by the light of a full moon) and destroy the people of earth to make it fitting for the Saiyan race. Goku kills his brother with the help of Piccolo, but he ends up dieing in the process. He then trains with King Kai to become a very powerful warrior.

Meanwhile, a Saiyan called Vageta starts his journey toward Earth to collect the Dragonballs (he heard the conversation between Goku and his brother via communicator). Although he fails in the attempt (Goku was wished back and kicked Vageta's rear, but many of the Earth's special forces-Piccolo, Yamcha, etc.-were killed during the battle and Goku, Gohan, and Krillen got their rears kicked)he doesn't give up.

Bauma, Krillen, and Gohan (Goku was too seriously injured) end up chasing after the Dragonballs on the planet of Knamic in order to bring their dead buddies back to life. And once again, they foil Vegeta's plan of immortality (with no help from Goku) when Gohan "stole" one of Vegeta's Dragonballs.

Unfourtunately, I don't know much more than that. The WB network that shows the Dragonball Z series has cut out many of the shows and has started showing repeates. However, I do know later in the series Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta all become Super Saiyans. I also know that Trunks is born later in the series.

Another helpful little detail is Gojita, the combination of Goku and Vageta by use of the Earrings of Fusion. Goku uses these on Vageta when he realizes they were too evenly matched, and there would be no way for either of them to defeat one another.

Dragonball GT has about the same idea, but it follows Trunks and his band of friends in their attempts to locate the Dark Star Dragonballs.
