A Ranma /Fushigi Yuugi fanfic By David Myers Disclaimer: Fushigi Yuugi created by Watase Yuu, Ranma created by Rumiko Takahashi. All characters belong to them and I don't want to infringe upon anyone's rights. Fushigi Yuugi is the story about a girl who gathered the seven Seishi of Suzaku and gained omnipotent power. The story itself is an incantation; those who finish reading it will receive this power. As soon as the page is turned the story will become the truth and begin. Ranma 1/2 is the story about a boy that turns into a girl, a father that changes into a Panda, and the curse that did it to them. Yin and Yang was never so much fun. Chapter 3 "We're here!" Miaka cried as she, Hotohori, Chiriko and Nuriko entered, "Tasuki, Chichiri! Look who I found!" Ucchan's was a shambles. Tables lay on their sides, chairs had spikes jutting out from them at awesome angles, but the most noticeable change was in the back corner. Blood stained the usually white bench, and on the back wall was a large splatter of blood, which streaked down towards the ground. Miaka covered her mouth as her eyes followed the streak downwards to where her blue haired Seishi lay. His mask had fallen off, and he lay in a pool of his own blood. His pale body looked like it had been burned from some sort of attack, and two viscous looking darts were still sticking out of his shoulder. His one good eye was closed, and his whole body was still. Miaka felt herself being shoved out of the way as Ukyo entered her store. She looked shocked at the fallen mage, then she too covered her mouth and cried, "What have I done... What have I done?" Nuriko stood and stared in shock at his fallen comrade. Chiriko's lower lip began to tremble as the emotions of a child threatened to overwhelm him. Miaka's mouth moved silently as she stared in disbelief at her fallen friend. "Good god!" gasped Hotohori, who was the first to recover. "Chiriko! Miaka!" He commanded, "Quickly get some rags and water. Nuriko we must attend his wounds." He moved to Chichiri's side and knelt down to inspect the wound trying to ignore the warm, dark pool of blood which spread on the restaurant floor and seeped into his casual clothes. He paused to move some bloodied hair from Chichiri's face, then looked back at his companions, and at the new girl who had joined them. Each stood staring in a state of shock. "Hurry!" he commanded more forcefully. Chiriko with tears welling in his eyes, snapped out of his trance and ran to obey his Emperor's commands. Nuriko moved quickly to Chichiri's side and began inspecting the wound. Ukyo leapt over the counter and began scrounging for a bath pail, which she filled with water. Miaka however refused to budge, unable to remove her eyes from the state of carnage, or the sickly, dark, purple patch which stained Chichiri's clothes. "How is he?" Hotohori asked Nuriko. Nuriko looked up at his beloved, concern and anguish clearly evident from his expression. "Not good. We must cauterize the wound, the spikes are deeply imbedded in an artery and the blood isn't clotting. His breathing has gotten shallow, and his pulse is very weak." Nuriko paused and rubbed his forehead wearily, leaving a red stain upon his face. Hotohori swallowed, feeling slightly ill upon seeing his comrades life blood stain another's face. The feeling was echoed by Miaka, who sobbed in dispair at the gruesome sight. He must be brave, Hotohori told himself, for Miaka's sake. Strengthened by his new resolve he gazed up at Ukyo who had joined their side with the pail of water. "We must move him to a bed." He informed the young girl, "Do you have something we can use to carry him?" Ukyo nodded and opened a cupboard where a stretcher stood leaning against the wall. She moved it to the mages side and lay it on the ground next to him. Upon seeing the questioning look on Hotohori's face, she smiled weakly and replied, "No martial artist should be without one." "We'll need a fire and a piece of metal.." Nuriko stated, all business, keeping the emotion from his voice. "This do?" Ukyo asked, drawing a spatula shuriken from her vest. Nuriko nodded and carefully moved the unconscious Chichiri onto the stretcher, then effortlessly lifted it and rushed up the stairs. "Bring the griddle and the spatula!" Hotohori cried, as his fellow Seishi followed him up the stairs and into the back room. Ukyo placed one of her shurikens on the griddle as Nuriko moved to the bedside. Chichiri's eye opened slightly as Nuriko lowered his companion down on the bed. "Nuriko, no da?" Chichiri looked up at his fellow Seishi. Hotohori moved to Chichiri's side and placed a comforting hand on his arm. "Chichiri, we must cauterize your wound or you will lose more blood." Chichiri looked up at the concerned expressions on his companions faces, and smiled weakly. "I'll be all right, no da. It has to be done." Nuriko nodded as he hesitantly pulled Ukyo's spatula shuriken from the griddle. The handle was red from the heat of the fire, and the heat from the handle had spread quickly leaving the entire shuriken hot to touch. Chichiri had lost a lot of blood, and although it grieved his gay companion to do this, Nuriko knew the wound would have to be cauterized if he was to survive. Grimacing, Nuriko pressed the red-hot spatula against Chichiri's wound and tried to ignore the sound of sizzling flesh. Sickened, Miaka looked away and Hotohori grimly held her close to his body protectively. Tears rolled down Chichiri's face as his breath caught in his throat, not even making it to a scream. His whole body spasmed once in pain, then fell limply back onto the bed. Ukyo bit her lip, and although her instincts screamed for her to look away she forced herself to watch as the mage now lay there, his breath now coming in shudders. This was, after all, her fault. She still found it difficult to believe that her friends, and more importantly her fiancée, had done this to the blue hair ed mage. What could have caused them to become so... ruthless? They had always been violent, she was the first to admit that, but always in their duels, battles of honor, and challenges, there had been a line that had never been crossed. The injuries sustained usually involved dislocated limbs, bruises, cuts, burns, shaved heads, losses of strength, mild fractures or on a very rare occasion broken bones. Never had any of them attempted to kill or injure anyone to the extent that they had today. Nuriko looked up from his work and tried to sound cheerful. "Well Miaka, that takes care of that. I'm starved, why don't you and Ukyo go get us something to eat. "Really? He's really going to be all right?" Miaka asked. "Hell be fine. He just needs some rest." Nuriko answered. Looking somewhat happier, Miaka nodded and ran down the stairs followed by Chiriko. The cross dresser stopped in front of the Emperor and looked at him grimly. "How is he really?" Hotohori asked. "Not good, he's lost a lot of blood, and is very weak. There is every chance that he could die if Mitsukake doesn't see him soon. I simply don't know enough to get him through this." Hotohori looked across at his injured comrade and looked back at Nuriko. "Don't let Miaka know about this." "Hai!" Ukyo watched, terrified as the two Seishi feared the worst. Ryoga watched from across the street, through the open doorway of Ucchan's as Miaka and her Seishi seated themselves around the grill. "Nakago-sama was right! Ukyo has aligned herself with Suzaku no Miko. I better let the others know about this." Ryoga leapt to his feet and ran off down the street. "First order of business, will be to find Tasuki." Hotohori declared. "With our numbers as diminished as they are, we will be no match for the combined might of the Seiryuu Seishi and your friends." Ukyo looked at Hotohori guiltily. It was obvious that they didn't realize that she had been the one who had set them all up. She had told Ranma and the others where to find Tasuki and Chichiri, and now Chichiri was injured, possibly dying, and Tasuki was being held captive by some blonde haired Gaijin. "If Tasuki had the scroll of summoning, it's safe to assume that Nakago can again summon the rest of the Seiryuu Seishi. Our only hope is that Taiitsu-kun can transport Mitsukake and Tamahome to this world, before all the Seiryuu Seishi arrive." Chiriko said, interrupting Ukyo's train of thought. "Is this Nakago really that dangerous?" Ukyo asked. "He is a man of unspeakable evil." Hotohori replied. "It is safe to assume that he has manipulated your friends into helping him." "But even if Tama-chan and Mitsukake arrive will we be able to defeat the Seiryuu Seishi and this Ranma and his friends?" Nuriko asked. "No, which means we will have to do our best to either eliminate these martial artists first or break Nakago's hold over them. Even then, we will need new allies to help us in the fight." Chiriko guessed. "Well I know some people, I guess. We could maybe get Akane and one or two others, but Ranma, Ryoga, Shampoo, and Mousse are going to be impossible to beat no matter who I find. I could hold my own against Shampoo, but I wouldn't stand a chance against Ryoga or Ranma." Hotohori sighed heavily, "It's a no win situation." Miaka looked at the group of clouded faces. "NO!" she cried, standing to her feet. "Miaka?" said Hotohori and Nuriko at the same time. "We can't give up! If Ucchan is Ranma's fiancée then surely he wouldn't hurt her." Ukyo smiled at this, but Hotohori interrupted quickly. "Miaka, we can't be sure of that. Nakago can twist things, remember what he did to Tamahome." Miaka nodded sullenly. Suddenly Ukyo felt very, very cold. "LET ME OUT OF HERE YOU ARSEHOLES!!!!" Tasuki screamed as he struggled against the chains that bound him to the wall of the Furinken High chemistry lab. Tasuki was pissed. At his enemies yeah sure, but also at himself. He couldn't believe he'd been duped like that, and by a girl no less. "Sorry pal, but you 'aint going anywhere just yet. Nakago-sama wants words with you." Ranma-chan said from across the room. Tasuki looked at her exasperated. "Shit! You're the one who captured me right?" Ranma nodded. "That's why I hate women, they're cunning and manipulative. I hate that!" Ranma smiled, picking up a beaker that had been warming itself over a Bunsen burner. "Sorry to disappoint you pal, but..." Ranma poured the warm water onto her head, "I 'aint no girl!" Tasuki looked at Ranma in shock. "You.. You, you're that pig-tailed shit from before!" Ranma punched him in the head. "Who are you calling a pig-tailed shit?" Tasuki looked at Ranma thoughtfully for a few seconds and began grinning mischievously. "Well its no surprise, I guess." Ranma looked at him confused. "I mean you hit like a girl, and no real man would ever work for Nakago. You gotta be some kinda freak to do that." Ranma, angered snarled back, "What was that?" "Only a girly-boy like you would even think about working for that blonde haired arsehole." "You take that back!" Tasuki smiled, happy to see that he was getting under his jailer's skin. He stuck his tongue out at Ranma. "Girly-boy, girly-boy, girly-boy!" Ranma furious, clenched his fists and dropped into a combat position. "That's it, you're dead meat, pal." "Only a girly-boy would attack a man unable to defend himself." Ranma growled, but before he could answer, he was interrupted by a new voice, "Ranma, do not allow yourself to be goaded by this bandit." Nakago strode into the room, followed by Amiboshi and Gosunkugi. "We must prepare for the approaching confrontation. His fellow Seishi are no doubt planning to help him escape." Ranma glared at Nakago. "Hey back off, pal, I 'aint gunna sit here and let some pretty boy jerk stop me.... from..." Ranma's protest trailed away as Amiboshi began playing his flute. The flute's haunting magical melody floated over Ranma, causing him to become docile and submissive. Nakago smiled, "I will cure you and your friends, only if you obey my commands. Now go! I still have heard no word from my scout, which means they will be coming soon." Meanwhile in Osaka, Ryoga, stopped a passer by. "Excuse me do you know how to get to Furinken High in Tokyo?" Ranma nodded reluctantly to Nakago, and then turned and left the room. Nakago watched his servant leave, and then turned to Tasuki. "Well, if it isn't the blonde haired dickhead himself." "Tasuki, it is not wise to antagonize your captors. I must, however, thank you for this..." he held up the scroll of summoning. "With it, we can at last summon the remaining Seiryuu Seishi, and when we are together you will all die. Gosunkugi-sama!" Nakago handed the scroll to the would be warlock who looked even more docile than Ranma. The young student then turned and also exited the room. "You're a fucking Nasty guy!" Nakago simply smiled at this. "I hope you are enjoying your accommodation. My servants have informed me that this place is called Furinken High. It is a faculty of learning..." Nakago paused for a second "What better place to teach you the lesson of pain!" Nakago straightened his whip and looked intently at Tasuki who returned his stare with fearless hatred. "Fuck You!" Nakago's face dropped at the vulgarity as he momentarily lost his composure, but he quickly regained it and struck his captive across the chest. Tasuki bit his lip so as not to cry out as the whip bit into his flesh again, and again, and again, until blood began to fly from the whip, leaving splattered trails of red across the wall. "There is one chance." Chiriko said outloud. The others all looked up at his interruption of their thoughts. "If we could get Tasuki back, then provided we can escape from his captors, and find Tamahome and Mitsukake.... We could summon Suzaku." Everyone's faces lit up except Ukyo, who looked confused. "Suzaku?" "Suzaku is one of four gods on our world. According to ancient tradition, when our country is in danger of extinction a girl will appear from another world. She will have the power to summon Suzaku, and make her wishes come true." Hotohori explained. "How?" asked Ukyo. "By finding the seven Suzaku no Seishi, us. Of course the same is true for the Seiryuu Seishi. If they get a hold of this..." Chiriko pointed at the Four Gods Sky and Earth, "then Seiryuu no Miko can summon Seiryuu." "So if you guys summon Suzaku, you could wish to send these enemies of yours back to your own world." She said looking at the chair where Miaka had been sitting before, but now Miaka was gone. Looking around the room she saw her preparing to eat out the contents of a barrel filled with raw Okynomiyaki dough. "Ita daki masu!" she cried in her helium pitched voice. "Hey cut that out!" Miaka looked up guiltily "Sorry! I just got really hungry and didn't want to interrupt Hotohori!" Everyone else fell to the ground. "Very well, if we are going to save Tasuki we need to know where he is." Hotohori said thoughtfully. They all sat in silence for a minute until Ukyo said hesitantly. "Well, I could always find out, I suppose. I guess I owe you that much." "Ucchan?" Miaka asked. "I didn't tell you this before, but... I was the one who told Ranma where to find your friends." "WHAT!" cried Hotohori, outraged. "Why?" asked Miaka. "Well, he is my fiancée, and I didn't know who you were. I thought you were going to hurt him, so.... I'm so very sorry. If I hadn't done that none of this would have happened. Tasuki wouldnt have been captured, and Chichiri...." Ukyo began crying. The Suzaku Seishi all looked at her with something akin to pity. "Please let me make it up to you. I'll find out where he is being held and I'll get you some allies." Miaka looked at Ukyo for a moment and then nodded. Encouraged Ukyo smiled at her best customer and ran from the store. "Can we trust her, Hotohori sama?" Nuriko asked "I don't know that we have a choice." Meanwhile a tall blonde woman shook her head vigorously to the questions of the youth before her. "No No this is Hiroshima that is a map of Tokyo." Ryoga looked at her sullenly, "Hiroshima! OK, thank you." With that he ran off down the street. It was dark in the Furinken High schoolyard. Some crickets cheeped noisily from the grass, and there was the faint buzz of the nearby streetlights. Most of the students had gone home, and only the most committed clubs remained, little aware of the hideous acts of torture which were being performed nearby. Tasuki's torture, however, was not the only unusual event that was taking place at the school. A dull red glow began emanating from the Soccer field. The tiniest of insects ceased their noises as a rift from another world opened. There was no sound as the glow dissipated leaving a tall, solidly built man standing in its place. He looked about grimly as a small cat poked its head up from over his shoulder, meowing quietly. The Suzaku Seishi Mitsukake looked at the cat, and smiled for the briefest of instants. Then he looked up towards the school and started heading out, looking to find some trace of Suzaku no Miko. Tasuki slumped in his bindings, exhausted, and in pain. Nakago had tortured him for what seemed like hours but with a feeling of grim satisfaction, he noted that he hadn't screamed in pain. It was a minor victory, and one that people of this world might scoff at, but he was proud of his achievement. Nakago had failed to break him, even if the cost had been great. Ironically he didn't realize that had he screamed, he would have alerted the entire Kendo club who had been having a tournament not a hundred meters away. The bandit didn't know this of course and so he remained imprisoned within the chemistry labs, drowning in agony. Nakago looked down at his handiwork with a sadistic satisfaction. It had been a long time since he'd had the opportunity to punish one of his enemies. Suffice to say he had fully enjoyed his time with Tasuki. He gripped his black leather whip tightly in his fist and slid his hand along it to the end, removing the film of blood that had been deposited there by its victim. It was then that he felt a delicate hand upon his shoulder. "Hard at work Nakago-sama?" Soi asked coyly. Nakago turned his head until he was looking at his lover, but did not say a word. "Perhaps I might persuade you to relax for awhile." She added playfully. He smiled at her, knowing full well what she had in mind, and with the upcoming confrontation, it could be useful. "Gyaa! I think I'm going to throw up!" Tasuki said from his slumped position in bondage. Nakago's face-hardened and he back fisted Suzaku's warrior across the cheek, knocking him senseless. Soi looked down at Tasuki, and then back at Nakago in mild amusement. "Yes I think we will definitely have to work some of that stress off." She said. Nakago looked at her for a moment and nodded, and replied with little warmth in his voice. "Come!" Then taking her wrist he led her from the room. Akane sat looking at the four strangers in something akin to shock, "Ranma tried to kill him..." "I find it hard to believe that my son in law would go to that extent." Cologne said. "As I have already mentioned, the Seiryuu Seishi are manipulating them." Chiriko replied, "There is no telling how strong Nakago's hold is over your friends." "Hmm this is grave news indeed." Cologne muttered thoughtfully, "If my Grand daughter, student, Son in law and... hired help are being manipulated, then it is my duty to free them. However, I am not entirely convinced. Also I don't understand why your friend refuses to talk to us." She said, pointing at Hotohori who was standing in the corner, facing the other way. Hotohori simply replied, "I do not wish to look upon your ugliness." Cologne whacked the emperor over the head with her walking stick. "Who's ugly?" she demanded. "Ah err, I better check upon Chichiri." Hotohori said quickly looking for an avenue of escape. "That wont be necessary, no da." the mage replied standing at the bottom of the stairs leaning heavily upon his monk's staff. Nuriko gasped, and furiously stood to his feet. "What are you doing up?!" he demanded. Chichiri looked seriously over at his companion, his scarred eye giving him a sense of authority. "If you intend to rescue Tasuki, then you will need me as an advisor na no da. Besides, I'm the only one who can tell exactly where he is, and teleport us in to get him. Hnnnn" Chichiri fell to his knees, grimacing as pain clearly shot through his shoulder. Nuriko and Miaka moved to help him, but he stared up at them with his once good eye. "No! We have wasted enough time already no da. We must move now or all the Seiryuu Seishi will be summoned, and then they will be after us, no da." "Chichiri is right! We must act now!" Hotohori ordered. "Have you discovered the location of our missing friend?" "He's being held at our High school if you can believe that." Ukyo answered. "Your High School?" Miaka asked. "Then we will go to this High School and free him." "I have a plan as to how we can do that." Chiriko said. The eight people looked at one another for a moment and then gathered by Chichiri. As she hopped along on her stick, Cologne thought to herself, "If this is some kind of trick these... Seishi will pay dearly; however, if what they claim is true, this Nakago will answer to me!" Ranma and Mousse sat by the door to the Chemistry labs, Ranma with an expression of disgust and boredom. "Who the hell does that Gaijin think he is anyway?" he asked Mousse rhetorically, "I'm not his slave, he cant just order me around. I got bett er things to do than guard some lame ass punk." Then mockingly he issued orders, "Stand by the door, but don't look inside." "Your patience as always, astounds me Saotome!" Mousse answered curtly, his glasses resting clearly upon his forehead. "These Suzaku people are supposed to be coming here shortly, you should have a fight soon enough." "Shut up!" Ranma replied testily. He shook his head impatiently and looked up to see a tall man striding down the dark corridor looking more than a little lost. "Probably asked Ryoga for directions." he thought humorlessly. Mousse stood up upon s eeing the shadow and barked, "Who goes there?" The man looked down at the two martial artists and spoke in a baritone, and serious voice. "Perhaps you can help me. My name is Mitsukake, I'm looking for some friends of mine." Mousse turned to Ranma and looked thoughtful. "Mitsukake? Wasn't he one of the Suzaku Seishi?" "Hey you're right!" Ranma exclaimed turning to his new opponent and crouching into a battle position, "OK pal, If you're one of the Suzaku no Seishi here to try and rescue your buddy, It 'aint gunna work. Not while I'm on duty you won't." Mitsukake took a step back realizing for the first time, the hostile nature of the two young men before him. "Buddy?" He replied confused. "Ha! So you are one of the Suzaku Seishi! Well eat this......" cried Ranma moving in to attack the doctor. Mitsukake took a step back, a little intimidated. As he did, his shoulder appeared from the shadows revealing Tama sitting upon his shoulde r. Ranma in mid leap stopped and looked at the cat, fear clearly evident upon his face. Tama somewhat frightened by the approaching martial artist hissed and raised his hackles. Ranma snapped! "C..C..c..c..caaaat!" he turned and ran headlong right i nto Mousse, who collapsed underneath him. Mousse quickly climbed to his feet and turning to Mitsukake yelled, "Ranma, quick he's getting away!" Then he ran off in pursuit of his fellow martial artist. Both Tama and Mitsukake stood with confused expressions on their faces, watching as the two ran off down the corridor. Mitsukake then turned to the door and opened it curiously. He was horrified to see the condition Tasuki was in and quickly rushed to his side. "Tasuki! Tasuki are you all right?" Wearily Tasuki looked up at his companion, and exhausted replied, "Took your fucking time!" Mitsukake looked at him in surprise as he undid the chains. "I didn't even realize you had been captured." He looked thoughtfully at the injuries and said out loud, "Hmm, they're bad, but nothing I can't handle." Then using Taitsu-kun's gift he be gan healing his comrade. Nuriko and Hotohori sword in hand approached the school cautiously. The main problem with their jail-breaking attempt was going to be getting to their comrade. They were somewhat shocked then when a nearby wall exploded outwards as an intense jet of flame shot out into the open air. The two made their way over to the source of the occurrence to see Mitsukake and Tasuki running fr om the school. The Four Suzaku Seishi stopped and looked at one another in surprise. "Come on!" Hotohori commanded then they all turned and began running towards Miaka and their other comrade's hiding place. As they drew closer Miaka, Chiriko, Ukyo, Akane, Cologne and Chichiri appeared to greet them. They stopped, however, when a disheveled looking teenager hobbled into view from their left using a bamboo umbrella as a walking stick. "Hehhh hehhh I... finally... made it!" Ryoga exclaimed and looked up at the Four Suzaku Seishi. Hotohori regarded him cautiously and turned to Mitsukake. Go! Heal Chichiri, we will handle this one!" Mitsukake nodded and dashed past Ryoga as the other three Seishi prepared for combat. "Here come the other three!" Tasuki yelled as Ranma and his companions approached. "Lekka Shien!" Nuriko wasting no time, dug his hands into the ground and pulled a large boulder from the earth. Lifting it easily over his head, he hurled the large rock at Ryoga. Ryoga grinned smugly as the rock flew towards him, and made no attempt to dodge. I nstead he extended his finger and cried, "Bakusai Tenketsu!" As the rock struck his finger it shattered into a million pieces. "Unreal!" Nuriko exclaimed. Nakago strode onto the field a safe distance from the combating warriors. His entire chi glowed blue with power as he approached Tomo and Miboshi. Miboshi looked up at the Shogun. "I take it you have been with Soi?" Nakago didn't answer his little companion but instead asked, "Is Amiboshi in position?" Tomo looked over at Soi who hovered several meters behind Nakago and then back to Nakago his face unreadable behind his mask and answered quietly. "Yes.. and Suboshi is bringing Seiryuu no Miko here even as we speak. Will you really heal these mart ial artists?" Nakago looked at him and smiled cruelly. "It is not important, after this battle I doubt there will be any need to uphold my end of our agreement." The others all chuckled at this and turned to watch the fight. Suzaku's three Seishi leapt out in a group and stood back to back. Surrounding Tasuki, Nuriko and Hotohori were Ranma, Ryoga, Mousse, and Shampoo. Each of the warriors regarded their opponents as Amiboshi's flute played melodically over the group, enticing and encouraging the martial artists into a frenzy. Although the fight was far from over the Suzaku Seishi had slowly been losing ground due to the fact that they were outnumbered. Tasuki had done his best to compensate using his Fan as a group attack weapon, but Ryoga's umbrellas and Mousse's hidden shields had countered Tasuki's Tessen attack again and again. Much to the Nerima residents' dismay their advantage disappeared as Chichiri appeared from no where next to his companions, fully healed. Chichiri crouched low and said quietly, "I have your back, no da." alerting his friends to his presence. Each of the Seishi singled out an opponent and the four leapt into the attack. Tasuki jumped forward using his enchanted Tessen to throw fire blasts at Ryoga, who blocked the fiery onslaught with his bamboo umbrella. Mousse threw Chains and the like at Chichiri, entrapping him where he stood. The mage, however concentrated bri efly and each of his bindings snapped freeing Suzaku's warrior from his bondage. Nuriko leapt at Shampoo throwing punch after punch, but the young Amazon was faster, and dodged each of the blows. She raised her Bonbari over her head and struck out at her enemy who caught the mace in his hands, and easily held it there. Hotohori looked intently at Ranma. He didn't like this, although Ranma was obviously a warrior, he was unarmed, and Hotohori felt very uncomfortable about attacking an unarmed foe. Ranma looked steadily at Hotohori unconcerned by his opponent's obvious advantage. Hotohori took a menacing step forward and Ranma grinned as he readied himself for combat. It was then that Hotohori fell back as a third person embraced him in a bear hug. "Oh, Long Haired beauty, my Love!" Kuno cried. Hotohori shocked looked at the Kendo swordsman. "Unhand me!" He demanded. "Forgive me my love, but I cannot allow you to date with the nefarious Ranma Saotome." "Date? What are you talking about. Stand aside!" "Stand aside?" Kuno cried dramatically, "No! I cannot allow you to approach that vile sorcerer, for his lecherous ways will be your undoing as he will enslave you body and soul! Though it grieve me, I Tatewaki Kuno cannot allow such a travesty of ju stice, so I will fight you in his stead so that I may win your heart. Engarde!" Kuno leapt in and began stabbing furiously at Hotohori with his bokken. Hotohori reacted instantly and the two began fighting furiously. Ranma looked at the two as he realized that he had no opponent. Smiling evilly he approached Suzaku no Miko, completely enthralled by Amiboshi's flute and his own desire to be cured. It was then that Chiriko leapt in the way arms outstretched. "I cannot allow you to harm Suzaku no Miko!" Akane watched in horror as Ranma punched the small thirteen-year-old aside and leapt forward until he was face to face with Miaka. Miaka fell back fearfully. "I'm sorry about this, but you gotta understand, this is my chance to be finally cured!" Miaka looked up at him angrily. "Cured! Cured! For that you would try to murder my friends, you attack small children!" She cried accusingly, "Is that.. is that..." "IS THAT WHAT A REAL MAN DOES?!" Ranma surprised turned as the symbol of the "oni" flared into existence on the newcomer's forehead, parting his hair briefly with its power. So fast was his attack, that for one of the few times in his life, Ranma was taken completely off guard as his opponent punched him across the jaw sending him reeling to the ground. "TAMAHOME!" Miaka squealed with delight. Ranma shook his head groggily and looked up at the Martial artist who now stood protectively in front of Suzaku no Miko. "What did you say?" He hissed in a deathly quiet voice. Tamahome, Miaka's champion and protector stood looking down at Ranma wi th something akin to disgust. "Attacking women and small children. What real man needs to do that?" Tamahome spat. Angrily Ranma crawled to his feet, his face a seething mass of rage. "You take that back! You take that back right now!" He yelled and leapt forward throwing punch after punch at his opponent. Surprised by the onslaught, Tamahome fell back as he b locked, parried, ducked and dodged each of Ranma's attacks. End of Chapter 3
