"Nihao, RanMaFan! Shampoo found you finally! Shampoo so glad!"
(Me) "Eh? We've met? And why are you so glad? What do you mean by finally found me?"
"Oh! Shampoo hear from Ryoga you making web page, Shampoo want you put Shampoo on page so
 Ranma can see!"
(Me) "Oh, I see! <So that's where Ryoga went!>, Well, I was just looking for you anyway, Shampoo!"
"We start now?"
(Me) "Ok."

First off, her name. It sounds strange, exactly like the hair care products. However, quite how you see it
depends on how smitten you are with her.
Shampoo's absolutely smitten with Ranma, and although her grammar is quite bad, we don't mind, don't
we? (Especially the guys, who think she's the cutest. I'm neutral.) She comes from an Amazon tribe in
China, called Joketsuzoku. Ranma visited the tribe once, on a tour with the Jusenkyo Guide, and both (at
that time) she and Genma were so hungry, they started eating the tribe's top prize banquet. Shampoo then
challenged Onna-Ranma to a challenge, as Ranma was eating her prize. So Onna-Ranma handily defeated
her, but recieved the "Si zi wen" or "Kiss of Death" from Shampoo. She chased Ranma around China, and
finally into Japan. But when she was defeated by Ranma-Kun, she gave him the "Ai zi wen" or "Kiss of
Love", which made it compulsory for her to marry him. However, when she discovered both Ranmas
were the same, she returned to China, where she picked up her curse.
During a training session at Jusenkyo, Cologne knocked her into "Maonichuan", and she is now cursed to
turn into the one thing Ranma fears the most, a Cat. A cute one, but a cat nonetheless. (A siamese one!)

(Ranma's Voice) "Cats!? Where!? AAAHHH!!"
"Ranma calm down! Shampoo no cat now!"
(Ranma) "Well, I ain't stayin'! Seeya!"
"Ranma, wait! Read Shampoo page!"

Anyway, she's another important character in the comic series, as she's always trying to get rid of the
"competition" for Ranma, and is always trying to get Ranma to kiss her. She really likes him, not just
because he defeated her, ya know. She works at the Cat Cafe with her great-grandmother, Cologne, and
doesn't attend school. She occasionally uses Bonbories (a kind of mace), swords, and her bicycle as
weapons, as well as her own fists and feet.
A lot of people think that Shampoo's a bimbo as well, that she can't do much other than fight, chase
Ranma, and cook food, but I think as a warrior in the amazon village, she's got to have some survival
skills at least, as well as arcane and medical knowledge. It might explain how she's always trying some
magical stuff on Ranma all the time. However, she's also very innocent and simple in the emotional sense
although sometimes she plays with Ranma's feelings to get what she wants. She simply.... reacts to her
surroundings, and even when planned, Shampoo's feelings are revealed very easily. Maybe that's part of
her appeal to some people. ^_^
Note : I picked this up from somewhere, in all tribes, the people's surnames are named after the tribe, so
Shampoo's full name would be Shampoo Joketsuzoku. Joketsuzoku means 'Hero' in Shampoo's tribe.
I'm guessing here, that Shampoo would LOVE to go swimming in the ocean without changing....

 
"Shampoo tell RanMaFan everything about Shampoo. Make sure Ranma read, ok?"
(Me) "Don't worry, he'll read it. Relax."
"If Ranma no read, Shampoo give you "Si zi wen"!"
(Me) "*gulp*"
"Oh, there Ranma now again! Shampoo go have date! Ranma!"
