RANMA
Ranma left his mother
at a very young age ( well, i'm not exactly sure when was it, maybe when
he was 5 or 6) with his father Genma to practise kung-fu. Once, they were
practising at the famous training lake in Jusenkyo, China....where there
are many ponds. While Genma and Ranma were engaged in a ferocious struggle,
Ranma was kicked into one of the ponds where a young and pretty girl drowned
in thousands of years ago....as a result of the curse left by this girl,
anyone who falls into this pond subsequently turns into a very pretty girl
when he touches cold water. Genma himself fell into the pond which drowned
a Giant Panda years ago and turns into a panda whenever he touches cold
water. They however, revert back into their original form when they touch
hot water.
Ranma and Genma subsequently arrives at the Tendo Dojo, which is owned
by Genma's good friend Soun Tendo. There, Ranma is engaged to Tendo's youngest
daughter Akane very much against the two teenagers' wishes. Ranma was later
enrolled into the Furinkan High School where Akane is also studying and
this is where he meets all his strange companions......the fun begins!!
