DARKLORE

The Darklore faction consists of those who are not completely human. These include the were-creatures as well as non-humans such as faeries, mermaids and elves and other supernatural or fantasy creatures often mentioned in lore but never proven.

Darklore may be the source of all Werewolf, faerie, and beast legends of human history. They may be the oldest faction among the five, hinting at a pre-human background, but this is still to be confirmed. What can be confirmed is that nearly every human society has tales of half-human, half-beast creatures that can appear as one or the other at will. This certainly fits the Darklore to a "T". The creatures of this faction want the world that was once theirs back, basically to retake earth from what they see as the human taint.

Darklore members are highly unpredictable. Unlike WIZ-DOM and Arayashiki, there's little evidence to their being a united faction. They're pretty much like wild animals, some are territorial while others are nomadic. There's too much discrepancy for us to make a valid observation. We estimate, however, that there are far more Darklore than WIZ-DOM or Arayashiki members in the world at present. Unlike the previous two factions, they do not seem limited to a particular geographical location.

* The fabled Abominable Snowman/Yeti may actually be Darklore member. Maybe a Were-Ape of sorts. Possibly border patrolling Tibetan region, a known Arayashiki stronghold.

* There's also been links between Darklore and the Hindu legends. Not at all surprising, given the man-animal nature of certain characters in Indian folklore such as Hanuman (Monkey) or the Hindu god Ganesh (Elephant). One name keeps turning up in our searches, though: Sarasvati.
