WIZ-DOM

The members of WIZ-DOM represent western magery, which includes magic of the wicca, druidic, and even kabbalistic form. Westerners will be familiar with these as they go by many terms such as witches, warlocks, wizards, and other mages.
WIZ-DOM members hail from all sects of western magic. Some might even be disguised as agents or even clerics of an established religion. Common WIZ-DOM archetypes include sorceresses, alchemists, priestesses, knights, spirits and ghosts, and artificial beings (such as elementals and golems) created via magic. There are also a lot of scholars, as well as people proficient in fortune-telling techniques and archaic western weaponry. Western magic emphasizes control over the magical forces (as opposed to the emphasis on harmony espoused by Eastern magic and shamanism).

Unlike the group-oriented Arayashiki, WIZ-DOM members mostly seem to work alone, or else in pairs. Pairs are of the master-apprentice variety, with an older and more skilled WIZ-DOM inculcating a younger pupil. It's possible that the "Awakening" that some WIZ-DOM members experience is from this very link, wherein a master teaches a student. Some WIZ-DOM groups might operate in covens, like the fabled Witches and Warlocks of old, but the more powerful ones seem to be solo individuals.

* Pre-Christian secret societies in Ancient Greece used similar Pentacles as symbols of recognition. Possible WIZ-DOM predecessors?

* There's been some rumors that the Harry Potter novels are some sort of subtle WIZ-DOM plot. Rest assured that this is not true (who would believe something that ridiculous?), and whoever told you that is pulling your leg...or a member of another Faction.
