MOUSSE
Mousse fell into the
curse-of-the-duck pond in Jusenkyo and turns into a duck whenever he touches
cold water. He is deeply in love with Shampoo but his love is not reciprocated.
Like Shampoo, he comes from China and works at Shampoo's grandmother, Cologne's
restaurant. Mousse is terribly short-sighted but he tries to refrain from
wearing his specs all the time as he wants to look handsome in front of
Shampoo. As a result, he often mistakes other people for Shampoo and hugs
them mistakenly. His short-sightedness also makes up a lot of hilarious
mistakes which are all part of the Ranma universe!!
SHAMPOO
Shampoo came to
Japan from an "Amazon" tribe in China which she was once part of. Back
in China, she had fell into the curse-of-the-cat pond at Jusenkyo and turns
into a cat whenever she touches cold water. In China, she had sworn that
the man who defeats her in a duel would be her future husband and there,
Ranma had beaten her in an attempt to steal her tribe's food. As a result,
Shampoo swore that she wouldn't rest until Ranma marries her. In her pursuit
of Ranma, she followed Ranma to Japan along with her grandmother, Cologne
who is probably the most highly skilled character in the Ranma manga along
with Happosai.
