This page consists of the translation of a number of Vivian's own words, which I gathered over the years from various sources.
"Unlike some artist, I seldom change my image. For instance the always- changing image of Anita Mui won't suit me -- my change is in my personality, and my image will change with that.

"I am not a piece of merchanise, living for the taste of the public. I hope all the things I do can make myself comfortable."

"Life is so short, and can vanish all in a sudden. When the times comes and you found it not worthy for sacrificing yourself just for adapting to others, it is already too late.

"You can only improve yourself by learning how to make choices. It is easy to be a good person, but now I want to be a meaningful one. By meaningful I mean to do everything without regret, and bring myself satisfication, not unhappiness."

"In the past I can paint at one effort, but now I have to pause here and there. I have some success in stretching, carol, pencil and tracing, and the only thing I can never do is painting myself. Prehaps it's too familiar, when it gets to the pen it just feels strange."

"I wish I will have a good family, a good husband and we will raise a few kids. I always feel that a woman's last resort should be the family, if job comes to affect it, one should give up the job."

"It's not that I don't like others do makeups for me, but just that I am too impatient to sit there an hour or two and let they do the makeups."
