Info on Genbu-stuff

Genbu-shin
Genbu-shin
See that turtle-looking like thing above? That's Genbu-shin (the god Genbu). He's the god of the North, who protects the country of Hokkan. When he's called by Genbu no Miko, he appears like this:

Genbu No Miko
This is Genbu no Miko, Ookuda Takiko. Here's a manga pic of her: *click*. That's all we really get to see of her, nothing more. She was the daughter of Ookuda Einosuke, the translator of Shi Jin Ten Chi Sho. She was absorbed into the book, as Genbu no Miko, gathered the seven seishi of Genbu, called Genbu, protected Hokkan from Kutou, and went back to her world. When she got back, her father discovered that she was being absorbed by Genbu. Rather than have her completely devoured, he killed her, then killed himself, giving the book to his friend Oosugi-san.

Genbu Shinzahou
The necklace Takiko-san wore during the ceremony to call Genbu became the Genbu Shinzahou, which has the power to summon an animal god when used in combination with the Byakko Shinzahou. Tomite and Hikitsu guarded the Shinzahou for 200 years after their deaths out of loyalty to Genbu no Miko.

Genbu Shichiseishi
These are the constellations of the Genbu Shichiseishi. They all died over 200 years ago, and Tomite and Hikitsu are the only ones we get to see. They are, from left to right: Hikitsu, Inami, Uruki, Tomite, Urumiya, Hatsui and Namame. Oh wait...I lied, in the first OVA, which wasn't written by Watase Yuu-sama, we see Chibi-Hatsui and Chibi-Urumiya . Why are they chibi? Basically cuz Tenkou screwed up the timeline, so they became seishi before they were supposed to. They must grow up to be cute, though! ^^; (From what I've seen of them (read: "not much") Hatsui kinda looks like Tomite! :-P)
