Tomite served as one of Genbu's Shichiseishi over 200 years ago, and now, he shows his loyalty to Genbu No Miko by guarding the Genbu Shinzahou with his fellow seishi Hikitsu. As a seishi, he has control over ice; he seems to prefer shooting arrows of ice with his bow, but can also encase people in ice. In addition, he can form a green ring of energy which slowly contracts around a person's body until the hapless victim is cut in half.

Tomite has bluish-black hair, which he normally wears under a hat most Hokkan-jin wear (also known as a bucket hat), and striking green eyes. As a person, he seems friendly and a lot less serious than Hikitsu, though this is probably because he gets the better lines. (check out the sounds page if you don't know what I mean.) Anyway, as an Aquarius, he is kind and tranquil, with occasional erratic and surprising behavior. With friends, Aquarians are intimate with only a select few, but are extremely faithful to those; they like to surprise people, dislike affected behavior, and need personal freedom. They have a genuine image, with a gentle voice and subtle magnetism; they mix well with people but remain an individual.
