Update 7 January 1996: Great to be back on WWW. Hiatus due to change of work and country. Nice place this GeoCities. Apologies to all correspondents, who have sent labels. I look forward to getting back to scanning some new labels for all to see. + a link to the expanding banana label collecors newsgroup will be added soon! Many links still go back to the old place in Japan, and will be graudally edited. Links to the graphics are still under works, will see how much I can squeeze in the limited space allowed in GeoCities (may have to reformat my gif's... please be patient).
Update 1 December 1995: Forty new labels finally added, all pictures kindly supplied by Wil Taylor in Wisconsin, USA, received already a long time ago. The Chiquita flag label set will be the next to appear (I am getting behind in adding pictures, due to many received images/labels, but all will appear in due time). This time the many similar type labels are shown with text links only, to reduce loading time for people with slow links. You can still see small pictures of all the main types. Comments on this format welcome.
Update 23 November 1995: Some 25 new label images added, emailed by Leee Overmann in Hawaii. Many more labels to be added soon, patience please.

Update 1st September 1995: Several new labels from Katie Foster, Texas. Farmers Best removed as a mango sticker on her advice. Listing now split in several sections for viewing in smaller packets.

1. Katie Foster in Texas produces a newsletter called "Please Stop Snickering", for produce seal collectors, i.e. citrus, melon, banana etc. label enthusiasts. The cost is US$10 for a 1 year subscription (US$18 by 1st class mail to foreign addresses). There are six issues each year, bi-monthly. Highlights of issue 16 (July/August 1995): Banana catalog nearing completion; Banana box codes, Another Danish banana seal club, and other articles on cantaloupe stickers, tomato stickers etc.
2. Gerri Lorenzo in California has prepared a banana seal catalog. It is composed of b/w pictures of banana labels. The catalog consists of 141 pages (8 1/2" x 11") of illustrations suitable for mounting a collection, an introduction, an index, and two color plates. She would be happy to sell a copy for $25US plus $5US shipping and handling (add an additional $5 shipping and handling for non-US addresses.)
