Akane smiled, statisfied. Revenge was
sweet.
>>>Wrinkles to Wrinkles, dust to dust<<<
"Ah....how I remember my young days!"
Happosai sighed.
Cologne looked wistful for a second. "Me
too."
"I remember when I met Iyeyasu, founder of
the Tokugawa
shogunate. I was the one who convinced him to put the samurai
class at the top."
"Ha!" Cologne grunted. "No doubt it was you
who caused that
very class to degenerate."
Happosai ignored her. "That was in the 18th
century."
"17th."
Happosai whirled around to face her,
surprised. Slowly, a
small smile began to play on his lips. "You know, you're pretty
hard on the eyes."
Cologne hmmmphed indignantly.
"But you're the only one I can talk to," he
continued,
"about the olden days and understand me."
Cologne was still hurt about that remark
about her
appearance. Casually, she answered, "Same here."
Pause.
Tentatively, Happosai reached and placed
his hand on top of
hers.
Cologne reacted at once. "Get your hands
off me," she
hissed. Glowering, she turned to face the other way...
Trying to hide a smile.
