Mrs KENNEDY

Mrs Kennedy found Sooty in the River Valley area.
The small kitten was obviously by its own and in danger on the busy streets of this neighbourhood.
So, Mrs Kennedy took the small cat to her home and adopted him.
He's now a happy young cat living a family life with Mrs Kennedy and husband, not forgetting Sydney the house cat that became his pal.

Here is how Sooty himself reports his lucky adventure:

SOOTY'S STORY

Hello! My new name is Sooty.
I am a Singapore drain kitten.
One day I was playing in a busy street and  almost got hit by a car.  This nice lady saw me and put me on the sidewalk and fed me.
She took me in her house and introduced me to Sydney, her cat and to
her husband.  I was so dirty that they called me  Sooty.  My new mom added Kwan Yin (after the  Bottisattva of Compassion) after my new name.

I looked like I was covered with soot. My ears and coat were so dirty that you couldn't tell that my ears and nose were pink and my coat hid the
beautiful white fur I had.  The lady gave me a bath and cleaned my ears.  Wow!  I had no idea I could be such a beautiful little boy.  The lady took me to
the vet and got my shots and got a full check up.
They are planning to take me back to Australia with them when they go back there.

Sydney, my new big  sister, didn't like me at first but after 2 days,  she started to play with me.  I got new toys that I  can play with and I get to sleep under the covers close to my new mom & dad.  I am so happy that I  play all the time now.
At first I was frighten but  now I feel loved.  I am so glad that someone cared  enough to take me in and adopt me.

I just hope other cats and kittens get to be as lucky as me!!
