DIANE AND ALAN LAY

Here's the story of Miska, a female Singapore "drain cat" adopted by the Lay family from New Zealand, when they were residing in Singapore in the 80's.
It's a heartwarming story!

Miska was rescued from the "drain" by Boris.

Boris, a New Zealand-born male, brought Miska, still a kitten, to the house of the Lay family, while they were in Singapore.
Boris and Miska became devoted mates. Eventually, they both moved to New Zealand with the Lay family.
Their friendship ended only with the death of Boris in 1994.

She was very well adapted to the bush surrounding Titirangi. You see her here spending her days as a "senior citizen" in New Zealand.

After a long and happy life, Miska died recently.
She is now buried in the Lays' garden, next to her old friend Boris.
