Prolouge
He gasped as he saw his blood spilling to the floor. He looked to his
killer with a knowing silence. The corpse of the servant was carried off.
"It's hard to find good help these days." The killer looked to his
companion. "They just seem to be so fragile." He laughed. The two were
sitting in an emmense hall, servants surrounded them. Another figure entered
the room. The two stood up, and bowed.
"Enough with the formalities. You have trained for many years, now it
is time for you to do what should have been done almost a millennia ago." The
man turned and before he left he added, "Take these with you." He tossed a
few black crystals to them. They looked at the crystals with anticipation.
"Well, he thinks were ready. Shall we celebrate?"
"You read my mind."
"On your feet!" The guard kicked Lynn in the side. Lynn grabbed a
nearby chain and swung it at the guard.
"Pittiful attemp." The guard laughed.
"Not really." Lynn laughed, sending a jolt of electricity through the
chain.
"I thought we broke your ssspirit. A few more weeksss in the Chamber
should put you ssstrait." The guard smashed him with the pommel of it's sword.
And started dragging the half awake man away.
"Hold!" The guard looked to see who had given him this command. "If
you value what you call your life, then hold!"
"Richard. Sssso, you've come back. There'ssss enough room in the
Chamber for you too. GUARDSSSSSS!!!" Twenty men, if you could call them
that, came into view. The slaves that were there scattered. The mine was
silent.
"Twenty-three to two, not the best odds. But then again, the
twenty-three are you guys." Richard drew one of his swords as a few advanced
to his insult.
"Sssstill the quick tounge eh? Well you sssoon will have no tounge at
all. Kill him!" All of them started to advance, some drawing weapons, others
readying attacks.
"RICHARD NOW!" Lynn screamed. "Jupiter Lightning Fuse!" He was struck
by a bolt of lightning. A sizzling crater was all that remained.
"Well, he'sss dead. Now for you." He turned back to Richard, his
tounge tasting the air.
"You think?" The serpent guard turned to see where the voice originated.
A man shaped figure of pure electricity stood behind him.
"It can't be possible." The creature droped it's weapon, as Richard
withdrew his other blade.
"Shall we Jupiter?"
"Let's shall." Lynn took off running, hitting and electrocuting many of
the guards. Knightfall threw a throwing dagger at the serpent-guard that had
attacked his friend.
"Now, we will be leaving." He stated as the dagger found it's target.
"Lynn, let's go." Richard retrived the dagger and took another of the dark
crystals from the guard. He tossed it to Lynn.
"Back home? Thanks for saving me." The crystals activated, opening the
portal to the Universe.
Chapter 1
"Where did you say were going?" Rei asked, sipping a cup of tea.
"Aspen Colorado. It's a great ski resort." Chris said holding a few
airline tickets.
"What about school?"
"It doesn't start for a few weeks. Besides, the others are going."
"You mean you told them first?"
"Of coarse, Mo was there when I 'purchased' them." Rei looked down
luaghing.
"What'll we tell Serena and the others?" Rei said taking another sip.
"I got tickets for all of us. We'll be the only ones on the plane."
"What about Grandpa and Chad?"
"I could get Grandpa a ticket, but I think we'd have to take Chad as
luggage." Rei laughed again, she could just see Chad squating in the cargo
hold.
"I think your right, I'll just tell them I'm going on vacation for a
while. But we should still ask them." She stood up and left the room.
The group arrived at the Airport about 6:50 a.m. the next day.
"Did you have to get a flight so early in the morning." Serena
complained.
"It's the only one that had a small group of passengers, that could
easily take another flight." Chris laughed. "Is everybody here?" He could
see Serena, Darien, Andrea, Maury with Lita, Mina, Rei, and Ami.
"Well, we better find the terminal." Rei said, trying to lift her
luggage. Chris walked over to help her. "Thanks." She kissed him on the
cheek. They all followed Chris, who was straining to carry Rei's suitcase,
to their flight.
"If that's her carry on, imagine what's in the luggage compartment."
Maury joked. They all borded with out complication.
Chris sat back in his seat and held Rei's hand as they took off. Then
fell asleep.
"So what'd you get?" Richard had just sat down in the chair across from
Lynn.
"Nothing much, just a 24 ounce steak." Richard smiled as he chewed the
first bite.
The two friends sat outside a small restraunt.
"Where do you think they'll strike next?" Lynn asked seriously.
"From the calculations I made, the next target is Aspen. Wont have to
go that far this time." Richard took another bite.
"Okay, when do we leave?" Lynn said, finishing his burger.
"When I'm finished. I forgot to ask you, how did you survive the
Chamber treatment?"
"Easy, it doesn't harm electricity." They both laughed.
After a few minutes, when Richard finished his steak, he pulled out
his laptop. "We need transportation, what shall it be this time?"
"I'm tired of cars, why not a helicopter?" Lynn mused.
"Helicopter huh. Well it is faster. Lemme see. Yes, we can get there
in a few minutes."
Lynn started laughing. "You mean you can actually do that."
"But of coarse." Richard replied in a French accent.
Chris was awakened by the turbulance as they were coming into Denver
International Airport. He could see Serena holding a used air-sick bag, and
Darien trying to help her feel better. The attendant came by and picked up
the bag, and gave her another. "Here, the turbulance gets worse."
The look on her face was priceless, Rei started cracking up when she
saw her. "Don't worry Serena, we'll get some dramamine for the flight back."
Chris turned away as Serena utilized the second bag.
When they got off the plane they were escorted to their baggage, then
out to three waiting limos.
"You've outdone yourself Chris." Maury said jumping in the nearest
one and popping out of the sun roof. Lita, Andrea, and Mina joined Maury. Rei
and Chris took one. Ami, Serena, and Darien took the last one.
"So how hard is it to ski?" Lita asked Maury.
"It's not that hard, I'll show you how." He started kissing her.
Andrea and Mina wanted out of there. They couldn't stand being near these two
when they got like this.
"There are other people here you know." Mina stated. Lita broke away
from Maury, who was still in mid-kiss, and sat quietly.
"Thank's Mina." Andrea said flipping through the radio stations.
Chapter 2
"How shall we handle this?" One asked, playing with his half-crescent.
"I don't know, they seem not to know what's happening. Let's enlighten
them." She smiled evily. "You go first."
The male swooped down to the crowd gathering below, and landed in the
centre. The crowd backed away slowly, some not that slowly. "I am looking
for a few people," He gripped his weapon as he continued, "I know some of
you know where the Sailor Soldiers are. Tell me, NOW!"
No one in the crowd responded, they all tried to get away now.
"Foolish people. Reconsruction." His fist was glowing green as he
looked at one of the people that had fallen while trying to escape. "What
shall I do? Ah. I know." He reached down to help the person up, he had a
sincere look in his eyes. The woman reached up to take it, not thinking.
Her scream caused even greater commotion. He had ripped her entire cellular
structure apart. He looked up to his companion, she nodded.
"Yellow Laser!" A bolt of yellow light flew from her finger tips to the
remnants of the crowd below, capturing many people in a small prison of light.
"I was thinking something a little more destructive." Fatal looked to
his partner.
"Your always interested in killing aren't you? Why do I even need to
ask?" She walked over to the cell. "You want him to interigate you, or me?"
The few people inside pointed to her. "Sorry dear, mabye next time." Fatal
sat down on a bench nearby and watched Sailor Sun question the people.
"Tureti coming too?" Lynn was climing into the chopper.
"No, he doesn't like the cold." Richard said, handing his computer bag
up to Lynn. "Besides, his girlfriend is expecting."
"Well, cats do do that. But I wish he were, we could use his experience."
Lynn set the bag behind him as he helped Richard up.
"Where's the pilot?" Richard asked as he was sitting down.
"He said he'd be right back. There he is now." Lynn pointed out the
door to a small fat man running up.
"Sorry. Aspen right?" He climbed into the copter with no trouble.
"Yes, we'd like to get there ASAP. Under an hour, and we'll give you a
large tip."
"Sorry, we aren't allowed to take tips."
"Well Lynn, what am I going to do with these?" Richard asked, waving
about a thousand dollars about. The pilot looked back at what was in Richard's
hand.
"Under an hour. Consider it done."
Richard smiled at Lynn. "See. Just sit back and enjoy the ride."
The chopper took a while to warm up. They left a few minutes later.
Chapter 3
"Wow! Is that where were staying?" Serena looked out the window of the
limo at the gigantic building they had pulled up to. Ami and Darien got out
and started to unload the baggage.
"I said it once, and I'll say it again. You've out done yourself."
Maury said getting Lita's suitcase from the trunk.
Chris just smiled as he walked into the hotel. He walked up to one of
the desk clerks. "You have reservations for the Stover party."
"One second sir." The lady went to a computer to check. "Three rooms
and the penthouse sweet. Will you be paying now?" She eyed Chris suspiciosly.
"No, we'll pay when we leave. Thanks." She handed him the cards to
their rooms.
"We've got four rooms guys. How we gonna do this?" He walked up to the
small group waiting for him.
"Me and Darien!" Andrea said.
"Fat chance. Darien's gonna be with me." Serena hugged him closer.
After a while, they got everything figured out. Mina, Andrea, and Ami
would take one. Darien and Serena would get one. Lita and Maury took one.
And Chris took the penthouse with Rei.
After they got settled in the met up in Chris' room.
"I can see the landing pad from here. 38 minutes, not bad. Here's
something extra." Richard handed the pilot about three thousand dollars.
The pilot lost concentration for a second, staring at the amount he held.
After they landed and got their things, they said goodbye to the pilot
and hailed a cab.
"Where to?" The cab driver turned around and asked them.
"The Weston." Richard said fastening his seat belt.
"Why are we going there?" Lynn asked in a whisper.
"I don't know when they'll attack, but I know where. There going to
attack the penthouse floor of the Weston, then go down through the floors."
They were silent the rest of the ride.
"Well, where are they? After all this they still haven't shown up?"
Fatal was slicing through a building wall.
"Those poeple we killed must have lied."
Fatal surveyed the landscape. Broken buildings, bloody remains,
destruction. He turned back to Sun. "They weren't lying, the soldiers just
aren't here." She turned to him confused. "Why else would they not come?"
"Then where do we go?"
"Back to the Negaverse."
"I don't want to go back there. Let's search some more." He said
evily.
"Is the penthouse floor open?" Richard asked the clerk.
"No." The man said looking at his screen.
"Thanks." He walked to where Lynn had the bags. He pulled out his
computer, looked around, and accesed the hotel's computer.
"Welp, nobody's in that room now." He closed him laptop and went to a
different clerk.
"I'd like the penthouse sweet please." The lady behind the counter
checked the room. After they sorted things out, Richard got his card and went
to the elevator. He stuck it in the slot for the penthouse, and went up.
"So what should we do first? Bunny slopes for those who haven't skied?
Or intermedate? Or what ever anyone wants?" Chris said leaning back in a
chair.
"Did someone order room service?" Rei asked.
"No." Everyone said.
"Then who's coming out of the elevator?" They all looked through the
doorway that she was.
"Who are they?" Mina asked.
Richard and Lynn stepped out of the elevator into the room. They
looked around, they didn't see the group in the other room.
"Well, I hope they raid in a few weeks, I could get used to this."
Lynn said tossing his bag to the floor next to him.
"They might already be here. Do you hear anything?" He looked at
Lynn as he dropped his bag.
"No. Why?"
"Better safe than sorry." His gauntlet materialized. "I suggest you
get your key-chain ready."
Lynn searched around in his pocket till he found the lightning bolt
shaped key-chain.
"One of us should go out there." Ami said.
"I'll go." Darien stood up and walked out. "Who are you and what are
you doing here?"
Chapter 4
"Well? Find anything?" Sun was walking up to Fatal.
"Just some stupid mortals. We should go back."
"HOLD!" A vortex opened in front of them. A cybernetic came through.
"NEW INFORMATION TO REPORT. THEY HAVE GONE TO THIS SPOT." The cyborg held
out its hand and displayed a holographic map.
"Why didn't one of these things get us the information the first time?"
Sun whispered to Fatal as the being left through the portal it had entered.
"I don't know. But I recognized the area. I used to live near there.
Aspen Colorado." They both smiled. He opened another door. "Ladies first."
"You have to leave this floor." Richard had walked up to Darien. "Your
life is in danger."
"Are you threatening me?" Darien stepped back, instinctivly reaching
for a rose.
"No. Trying to protect you."
"From what?" The others seemed intrigued and came out slowly. Richard
saw them and motioned Lynn to his side.
"We can't throw all these people out."
"But we can't tell them what's going on either." Richard retorted.
"We don't have a choice." Lynn said.
"Fine." Richard turned around and aproached Darien again. "Believe
what I have to say, or don't, you still have to leave. My friend and I are
fighting against a force known as the Negaverse." The group stared at them
in disbelief. "They have been sending raiding parties into the Universe and
gathering slaves. I have tracked their movements, and this is the next place
they will strike."
The soldiers all gathered into their own little huddle and talked about
this.
"They're going to do what the last people we told did." Richard said
looking at Lynn.
"No they're not."
All the males came forth. "Prove it." Maury said.
"What do you mean?" Lynn asked.
"Do this." Darien said as he transformed.
"Dammit! Lynn, get ready. They're already here." Richard held his
gaulntlet up. "Mars Jewel POWER!" The gem in his gauntlet flared and shot
out a stream of fire. The fire swirled down around him, then dissapeared.
He stood there, decked out in chain mail, blades in hand.
"Jupiter Lightning POWER!" Lynn's body was jolted with raw electricity.
When he came out of it, he had his weapon in hand.
"Cool." Chris exclaimed. "We've got a few more friends."
After Shock and Knightfall stood there confused. "What do you mean
'friends'?"
"You ever heard of the Sailor Soldiers?" Richard and Lynn looked at the
group in front of them.
"You're the soldiers?" Lynn looked over to Richard with a smile. "Looks
like we don't have to kick them out."
"What part of this city do you want to search first?" Sun looked over
to Fatal as they materialized above the Rocky Mountains.
"I don't know, should we get some help? A few Shifters perhaps?"
"They could find them faster. What are we waiting for?" They
disappeared again.
Everyone had returned to normal, and were sitting around talking.
"So how long have you known about your powers?" Rei asked.
Lynn started first. "I've known about mine for about 5 years. When
Richard saved me from a prison camp, I found out what I could do. Those
guards didn't know what hit them."
"I was first attacked when I was five. My parents and I were at an
amusment park when a raiding party came through. Those that did not go were
killed. I was forced to clean out the sewer pipes. Then when one of the
guards was beating me for not working, I saw something on my hand. And I
blacked out from there on. When I woke up though, I was back home. My
parents were killed when I tried to get them out, four years later." He
ended his story and hung his head.
"But there is one thing that we didn't tell you." Richard looked at
Lynn confused. "Tureti."
"Oh yeah, Tureti."
"Who's Tureti?" Some of the girls asked.
"Tureti is my trainer. A cat. It's cool, he can..."
"Talk? We have two cats... Oh man! We forgot about Luna and Artemis."
Everyone looked at Chris, who just shrugged.
"It's getting late. We should be getting to bed."
Everyone looked around for a clock. Lynn tossed his watch to one of
them. "It's nearly midnight?"
Everyone went to their own rooms, but Richard, Lynn, Chris, and Rei
stayed on that floor. They each found a different part of the sweet to sleep.
"When you find them, report to either me or her. Now go." Fatal
dismissed the Shifters, who departed the chamber.
"It's only a matter of time."
Chapter 5
The next morning everyone met back in the penthouse.
"We came here on vacation. I want to go skiing today." Maury walked
into the room as Andrea said this.
"Yeah, we should get the most out of staying here, isn't that the
reason we came here?" Maury sat down next to Lita.
"You may have come here to relax. But we are here to defend, and as
soldiers you should do the same." Everyone stopped their complaining.
"How did you find out they would come here next?" Mina asked.
"Easy. I have a spy on the royal guard. He gives me some information,
coded I might add, and it's pretty vague. But I have been right all the
other times." Richard was leaned back in a recliner as he finished off his
breakfast.
"So when are they going to come?" She asked again.
"That is the one thing I do not know. One time we arrived seconds
before they attacked. Another time we had to wait for a few weeks. But the
average is a few hours."
Lynn broke in off the subject. "If I'm Jupiter and she's Jupiter,
then does that make us siblings?"
"Andrea and Sharon are sisters. You could be my brother." Lita
responded.
"And me and Rei?" Richard said.
"Probably." Chris said.
Again Lynn broke in. "Sharon?"
"She's the soldier from Pluto. Andrea's also from Pluto." Andrea
smiled as Lynn glanced at her.
"I hope they come soo..." Maury's voice was cut off as he caught sight
a Shifter staring at him. "Is that what were waiting for?" He said pointing
at it.
"Shifters? We're up against some powerful bastards. It's a good thing
we found you guys. This is not going to be a normal raiding mission."
Richard's gaunlet appeared. "Get ready for a fight."
"Thank you for the information. Gather some of your troops, we take
them alive." Sun looked at Fatal when he said this.
"Alive?"
"Yes, it would be better to execute them in front of the slaves, to
break their spirit even further."
"Your evil. But that's what I love about you." She kissed him deeply.
"Wait." He broke away. "There was a scheduled raiding for that area.
How could they be there." His face went very serious. "Grafter, tell the
captain of the raiding party to take all the forces he can take. Tell him we
are capturing the Sailor Soldiers." The servant ran out of the room and
towards the generals quarters.
Nobody had transformed when the vortex swirled open, about 10 seconds
after Maury had seen the Shifter. "Dammit! Every one transform now."
Richard held his gauntlet up. "Mars, Jewel...POWER!"
"Sol, Light...POWER!"
"Mercury, Star...POWER!"
"Venus, Star...POWER!"
"Mars, Star...POWER!"
"Jupiter, Lightning...POWER!"
"Jupiter, Star...POWER!"
"Saturn, Disc...POWER!"
"Pluto, Mask...POWER!"
"MOON, CRYSTAL...POWER!!"
Nothing came through the portal. "Cool, I can do something I wanted to
do for a long time." Richard ran over to his bag and pulled something out.
"Chris, Maury, you like 'fighting?'" He asked while setting up something. A
CD player.
"What's that for?" Andrea asked.
"You'll see." He put a CD in and hit the play button, right as the
first creature came through the portal.
Knightfall stood up with a huge grin on his face. The music started as
the first monster was killed. When about 11 were gone, the words started.
"Everybody was Kung Fu fighting..."
"That's really bad. Really, really, bad." Lynn said laughing.
"But it gives us a beat to kill these guys to. Or would you prefer
somthing else?"
"What is with these creatures?" Destiny was trying to hit a Shifter.
"How do you hit these guys?"
"Can only kill them in the Negaverse. Anyone coming?" Some of the
soldiers looked at him strangly. "Okay. Lita, Maury, Mina. Follow me." He
took out a crystal and held it out. A portal opened up, he rushed in with
swords drawn. The others followed.
Chapter 6
Lynn watched as the small group left through the black doorway.
"Where are they going?" Chris asked, slicing down four monsters with ease.
"There going to take out the Shifters, that shouldn't take long. Watch
it!" One of the more grotesque looking monsters had come millimeters from
hitting Fiss.
Fiss went ballistic on him, then turned to After Shock. "Thanks."
The group landed on an asteroid orbiting a small planet. "Damn! We've
got a ways to go to get to the palace."
"What's going on? Where are we?" Mina looked at the black and
shapeless surroundings.
"Welcome to the Negaverse. Now follow me." He took off jumping from
rock to rock with amazing speed. The others shrugged and followed.
"They're retreating?" Serena looked at Lynn confused. But he had
the same look on his face.
"I don't like this." They stood there for a few minutes, completly quiet
"It's as silent as death." Shock looked around trying to find anything they
might have left.
"I take it you're an optimist." Rei said.
"Death? My forte." Everyone turned to see a figure standing behind
them. Lynn reacted almost instantly.
"Fatal!" He dropped his longsword and let loose an attack.
"Electrical Surge!" Fatal stood there unimpressed. His face went stern.
"Power NEGATE!" Shock's attack fizzled out. The others started to
charge.
"Flash!" A bright light blinded them. But they heard the voices.
"Mistake number three." Chris said.
"Number three?" Fatal mocked.
"Number one was coming here, number two was blinding me." He stood up
from where he had tripped over something. "And three was talking. FISS!"
He aimed his sword at Fatal. Nothing.
"Would you like me to list your mistakes? Or should I just kill you?"
Lynn's sight was coming back, as was the others. He stumbled, purposly,
behind Fatal and Sailor Sun.
"Still the fool I see." He threw himself at Fatal, knocking him over.
Rei stood up, now able to see fully, and saw Sun readying an attack.
"I don't think so." She ran over to deck her, but was a little late.
"Black Laser!" The dark bolt split when it hit Lynn, hitting all of
the good soldiers. No one was left awake.
"Too easy?" Fatal asked.
The palace was in their sights. "Is it really this peaceful here?"
Lita asked, trying to keep pace with Knightfall.
"Don't let it fool you, this is one of the most deadly places here."
They came nearer and nearer to the emmense citadel. Three stopped. "What's
wrong?" Richard asked coming to a halt.
"That's where we're going?" Maury asked.
"Yes, and the more time we waste, the more chance they'll kill someone.
So come on!" He took off again.
They were about 200 meters away, when a few creatures crossed their
path. Everyone stopped. The four creatures turned to them. Each one had
an ugly red eye at the end of a small stalk. Two tusks protruding from it
body. And arms were coming out of their knees. And most frightening of all,
they began to give chase.
"What the hell are those?!?!?!?!" Lita asked as they took off in the
other direction.
"Don't know, never seen them. But it looks like they're hungry." They
started running at a slight tilt, causing them to turn around. Slowly the
palace came closer to being in front of them. "Do any of you have speed
powers?"
"What?" Mina asked as she rushed by him.
"Any power that would increace your speed?"
"No, but I wish I did right now." They were about 50 meters from the
palace now.
"Just a little bit further."
"One of us should have asked this earlier, how are we gonna get in?"
Maury asked seeing the amout of guards at the entrance.
"Mabye these things will come in handy." An idea came to his mind.
"Lita, Maury, cut right. Mina follow me." As the guards were readying to
impale the runners on their spears, they turned. The chasers didn't.
They were able to sneak in while the guards were fighting.
Chapter 7
Fatal and Sailor Sun came out of the portal into a small chamber of the
palace, dragging the unconcious soldiers behind them. A man aproached them
from a small corner of the room.
"Stay back wretch!" Fatal kicked the old man aside. "Leave them here."
Sun let the ones she was dragging go.
"Should we tell him? Or should we wait?"
"We should wait." Fatal motioned her out the door. And locked it as
they left. They also left a small thing hanging just outside arms reach of
the cell's door window.
"Well, I think we've been found out." Knightfall was standing back to
back with the other three. They were surrounded on all sides by the same
serpent type guards he had faced earlier.
"You're the expert. What do we do?" Maury asked.
"Does anyone know 'berserk'?" Richard said with a smile.
"Gotcha." Lita smiled too. "Tell me when." Some of the guards started
advancing.
"You sure this is going to work?" Mina asked.
"Believe me, the only members of this pathetic race that fight are a lot
larger. If we dispatch a few, the others will run. Now!" Lita let loose on
one of the creatures. Maury smiled at her, then threw his own attack.
"Sol!" The barrage of stars hit about 4 guards killing them instantly.
The serpents scattered. Mina looked to Knightfall as he took out a few with
his skilled sword play. She didn't notice a few daggers flying her way. As
Richard turned around, he saw them.
"Fire Shield!" The sphere of flame enclosed him and Mina in. When the
blades hit it, they disintagrated. "Watch your back." He turned. "This
way." He ran down a narrow passage.
Back in the hotel room, the music is still playing.
"Hey, wake up." The old man was shaking Chris. "Wake up." He went
over to a small pail. He came back towards Chris holding a small cup. "Wake
up." He threw the liquid onto Chris, who promtly sat straight up.
"What's going on?" He looked around the room, at his fallen companions,
then the old man. "You? I... know you. Don't I?" The man didn't answer, he
just went to the next fallen soldier and tried to wake her.
"Been here before?" Maury asked as they went around a corner.
"You want the normal answer, or my answer?" They came to a large door.
"Nevermind that, what is this?" The group had stopped and Fall went up
to the emmense door.
"I think we took a wrong turn. This is the meeting hall of the royalty.
I think we should be getting out of here." They turned and started down the
way they had come.
"'Ere, where d'ya think yer goin'?" They turned and saw a figure
standing in the shadows. "Knightfall! Glad t' see ya old friend. Let me
pay you back what I owe ya." The figure sent a bolt towards Richard.
"Dodge the beam!" Richard jumped out of the beams path. It hit a
nearby pillar, causing it to glow.
"Whats happening?" All three looked to Richard.
"One word. RUN!!!!!!!" He took off down a corridor as the others
began to follow. A loud thuding noise was coming from behind them.
"Don't look back." Fall yelled, rapidly loosing his breath. "Another
hundred feet, and we'll be safe."
The thuding came up right behind Lita. "It's right behind me."
Richard veared off to the left, and pulled the person behind him in.
"Grab the next one by." Both of them caught the other two, and pulled them
into saftey. A flash went by them, they felt tremendous heat.
"What was that?" Maury asked. "Or rather who was that?"
"Long story, he's the one who killed my father. In payment, I took his
eye. And as for the noise from behind us. Ever heard of animating rock?"
He checked to see if the coast was clear. As he predicted the stone creature
had frozen in its tracks when it reached the end of it's controlers area of
influence. "Let's find this place, quickly."
They again followed him through the hallways.
"Ah. This way." He motioned them down a dark coridor. "The elite
guard room. This is where we need to go."
"I thought we were going after those shifter things."
"That's on the other side of this room. Who wants to go in first?"
Again all eyes went to Knightfall. "Thanks for the ego boost."
They burst into the room, but what was waiting on the other side, was
not what Fall had expected.
"I asked you who you were." Chris stood in front of the small man now.
"Help me revive your friends, then I'll tell you." Chris couldn't argue
with that logic, so he went around seeing if he could rouse anyone.
After a short period, every one was awake.
"Now who are you?" Every one looked at the old man.
"I know all of you. How I know is I lived in the Moon Kingdom. In
fact, I was trainer to two of you. One whom I cannot see at this time. I
was imprisoned here a few days before the attack on the Moon Palace over a
thousand years ago. I had thought all of the soldiers lost, but I see now you
live. You look younger than I remember though. Perhaps my memory is failing
me too." The man talked as if he were not aware anyone were in the room with
him.
"Who did you train?" Darien asked.
"One girl and you." He replied, not even looking in his direction.
"Can you tell us which girl?" Chris asked.
"His sister." Then the old man seemed to pass out.
"So is there like one guy and one girl from each planet?" Lynn asked
from the corner.
"We don't know." Andrea said, "There are two girls from Pluto."
"Oh yeah. Well, we need to find a way to get out of here. Anyone have
any bright ideas."
"Why not blast our way out?" Chris said.
"Go ahead and try." After Shock streched out his legs and leaned back
against the wall.
"Who'll do it?" Darien asked.
"Just be a waste of time." Everyone looked at Lynn. "See that thing
hanging out side the door, it neutralizes our powers, and alerts Fatal of our
atempts."
"So what are we gonna do now, we're still transformed, our weapons have
been taken away, and we can't use our powers. Were dead." Chris sat down
next to Rei.
"When we've finished with you, you'll be begging us to kill you."
Fatal stood outside the door.
"Why'd you finally decide to attack?" Lynn asked.
"Address me properly, or lose your tongue."
"Okay. Why'd you finally decide to attack, less than a man?"
"Insulting me will further your torment. You wont be able to use your
powers in the Chamber, while I'm watching." A wicked smile found it's way
onto Fatal's lips.
The other's in the room could see Shock trembling. "I'll leave you here
for another few hours, then I'll return with your invitations to stay in the
Chamber."
After he had been gone a few minutes, Serena spoke up. "Chamber?"
Lynn looked at her in complete terror, "Think of you worst nightmare.
Magnify it a hundred fold. I've survived it, but that's only because in my
electrical form, my mind can't be read. But I've seen what it can do. The
strongest of the rebels, reduced to lower than that man." He pointed to the
old man on the floor. "We've got to find a way out." He stood up and
gathered the others around him.
Chapter 8
When he finally adjusted to the shock of what he saw, he fell to his
knees. The small group was swarmed. They left Knightfall alone and attacked
those that could fight. Maury tried to hold them off, but was overrun. Lita
let a few Thunder Crashes go before getting mauled. Mina was the most
fortunate, she killed a lot of the attackers with a meteor shower. But they
all were overcome with the numbers.
"Why..." Knightfall looked at his parents hanging in front of him. A
small metallic device pointed toward him. "Bastards!!!!! Mars FIRE
SHIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The force from his defensive manuver knocked every one
aside, and incinerated the attackers.
"That was cool." Maury shook the soot from his uniform. "Lita?"
"Just fine." She pushed the charred carcass of one of the attackers off
her.
"What was that?" Mina asked.
"Remember the daggers earlier? This was a little stronger." Fall
responded.
"A little?" Maury said surveying the room.
"They did this to stop me." He said pointing to the holographic image
of his parents, hanging from the rafters. "This," he said walking forward and
grabbing the small device, "is a smaller version of the Chamber."
"Chamber?"
"Leter, we have work to do."
"There are some doors on that wall, which one?" Mina asked getting up.
"I don't know, centre?" Fall looked at the five doors on the far wall.
"Sounds good to me. Bring that little thing along too." Maury said
pointing at the device Fall held.
"So it's decided. We'll start when whoever comes to get us. I hope it's
that son of a bitch." Chris walked to where he was assigned to stand, and the
others dispersed to the area's they were put.
A few hours later Darien stood up. "How long are they going to keep us
here?"
"Sit back down Darien, if were going to gets out of here this needs to
work." Lynn stood and walked over to him. He told Darien a few things and
then sat back down. Darien had a dumbfounded look on his face. He then sat
down.
Serena crawled over to him. "What did he say?"
"Serena," Lynn said, "that's none of your concern."
Serena went back to where she was supposed to. They waited very shortly
after that. A guard, a very ugly guard, came down to the door.
"Get up." There was a hint of fear in his voice. Lynn recognized the
voice and got up.
"Thralpeg? Guys, this is our ticket out of here." He walked up to the
door as the others got up.
"I sorry friend. Can't help get out. Can help powers!" He walked over
to the wall and took the metallic object from the wall, and replaced it with
an almost exact duplicate. "Now, wait. Then break out at right time. You
know when." Thralpeg then ran down the hall, taking careful measure to hide
the object.
"Well now we have our powers back, what about our weapons?" Chris
asked.
"Wait until they come, then call your weapon. It's not that hard. Oh,
and Darien give some roses to the others. It'll be easier and faster that
way." Lynn went back to where he was sitting.
"I think that we found where the Shifters are." Richard said in a
whisper. "Let's slaughter them. Who wants the honor?"
"Ladies first."
"I'll go." Lita stepped forward and was stopped by Mina.
"May I?"
Lita just shrugged. "Go ahead."
"Venus, Strobe...FLASH!!!" The ball of light appeared in her hands as
she raised them over her head. The flashing brought the Shifters out of their
trance, but even if they came out earlier, they still had no chance. She
threw the ball down, after it killed a few of them, and finished off the rest.
"I take it you like that attack." Maury said looking at her.
"I must admit. That was cool." Fall said. Mina smiled at him.
"Wait," Knightfall hushed the others, "I hear someone coming. Maury
get over there. Lita there. Mina behind me." He drew his sword. They heard
the footsteps getting louder. The door burst open. Maury and Lita ran out
and grabbed the individual that came through the door.
"Thralpeg?" Knightfall looked at the captured creature. "Release him."
The two looked at him strangly, then let him go reluctantly.
"Come. Hurry. Friend need help. Hurry. Hurry." With that he turned
and ran down the way he came.
"You heard the, uh, um. You heard him. Let's go."
"Time to go." Fatal's face came into view at the door. But he looked
somewhat different. "Unlock the door." He ordered a large amphibious
creature.
Lynn mouthed to the others "he's not transformed."
"I'm sorry worm, did you say something?" Fatal limped into the room.
"I didn't say a word, gimp." Lynn said standing. He stood facing away
from Fatal. He spoke the name of his blade. He started to turn. "Let's
shall." With those words, the others in the room sent their roses right at
the unprotected Fatal. Lynn brought his blade around and held it at Fatal's
throut. "Get his cane. It's his transformation item." Andrea rushed out
and grabbed it. In the commotion they had forgetten about the guard that let
him in. The slimey arm streched out and it's hand clasped aroud her throut.
Andrea let out a gurgling cry.
"Chris watch him." Lynn ran forward and sunk his longsword deep into the
creatures gut. He looked to Andrea as she fell. "How do you like you
froglegs? Personally, I like them burnt to a crisp. Lightning Rod!"
Everyone felt the air charge in the room. Then they saw blue light strike
Lynn and travel down his sword. Everyone watched the smoking skeleton fall
and shatter.
"Now for you." Lynn sheathed his blade and walked toward their fallen
oppenent. "Fatal, no. Jeremy. What shall we do with you." Lynn walked over
to Chris. He whispered something into his ear. Chris got a huge smile on his
face.
"If you have had your powers increased, then why not see what a
combonation of them will do." Fatal's expresion didn't change.
"Hold him against that wall. At the time you told us you got your new
abilities, we were visited as well. Those that you saw were not that
powerful, oh and yes I am bragging. Stasis Field!" A green bolt of energy
shot out and struck the evil soldier, spreading out over his body, he then
glowed a pale green.
"Go ahead."
"Fiss!" Chris said before anyone else could ready their attacks.
Wanting to do the job himself. The blue beam hit Jeremy in the chest with
enough power to destroy a mountain. All that was there was a smoking scar.
"Yoooouuuu caaaaan't kiiiillll meeeee!" Fatal's superior expresion was
aparrent through the rippling of the field.
"Oh, it does effect the voice when someone talks in it. We could really
use the other's help right now." Lynn walked up next to the sphere and hit the
wall.
"It's nice to be wanted." Richard stood in the doorway. "Some minor
flaws in your plan though: #1 You didn't post any guards, you know to catch
reinforcements." With that Maury, Lita, and Mina walked into sight holding
Sailor Sun in a deathlock. "#2 You and I both know that Fatal can't be killed.
#3 We heard your fight quite a ways away." Fall walked over to Shock. "And
when did you learn to do this?"
"I don't know." Shock said playing with his sword. "And I thought the
combined force of all their attacks, plus mine would be enough."
"Well, try. I'll help. Prepare yourselves for an amazing spectacle."
He walked to the centre of the room clearing everyone out of the way. "After
Shock, you haven't even seen this. Spirit of Mars! JOIN WITH ME!" His voice
echoed through out the entire palace. A circle of fire sprung up around him.
A bright red flash blinded everybody. A translucent aparitian appeared and
entered him from behind. His body started growing and changing. His size
and girth nearly doubling. His head becoming reptilian, wings forming on his
back. A tail growing from his rear. Then the horns grew. Six on his
forehead, 3 where his nose should be. The look of fear could be seen on
everyone's face, including Fatal's.
"Let's rock."
Chapter 9
"Where do you think they're at?" Luna asked Artemis.
"I have no idea." Luna jumped down from Serena's bed. Sam came into
her room.
"Hi Luna, guess Serena forgot to leave you some food. Come on." Luna
and Artemis followed him downstairs wanting to learn more.
Everyone stood there in awe at his massive appearance. Finnaly someone
spoke. "Cool." Everyone's gaze turned towards Chris. "What? What'd I say?"
"You wanted to see if our combined power could kill him? Then start it,
I'll go last."
They all lined up opposite Fatal, and took their ready. Lynn had put Sun
in a feild all her own.
"Saturn FOCUS!"
"Mars War Laser! FIRE!"
"Sol FLARE!"
"Jupiter Lightning Storm! SWEEP!"
"Mercury Ice-Daggers! PIERCE!"
"Pluto Soul Skeleton STRIKE!"
"Venus Strobe FLASH!"
"TERRA SLIDE!"
"BLITZKRIEG!"
"Moon Scepter ELIMINATION!"
The other powers mingled for a second, waiting to be joined. Then a
deep voice stated: "Nuclear Blast."
The final component joined the others and hit Fatal. His scream could be
heard over the explosion. After the force had subsided they scaned the area.
The palace had been vaporized. They could not see any structures anywhere.
"He couldn't have survived." Richard's now deeper voice said.
"He did." Lynn said pointing to a small crater. "What about his
girlfreind?" Every looked around, no one could find a trace of her.
"Damn. Didn't know it would be that powerful." Fall began to return to
his normal shape and size. "I guess there'll be no more raids."
"What are we gonna do now?" Lynn said walking over to the crater.
"Mabye you guys could come and help us in Japan." Rei said.
"Guys, and I mean the guys, come here." Lynn waved them over to the
indentation where Fatal's body was lying.
"Girls, stay back. You wont like the sight." Richard said looking away.
Fatal's body had been burned beyond recognition. He looked like the burnt
remains of something. But his breathing could be heard.
"How could he have survived this?" Darien asked.
"In a different way than I did." Everyone turned around and saw Sailor
Sun standing there. Holding a small crystaline shard.
"Healing Light!" She held her hands out and a bright flash of light
burst from her palms. The light engulfed Fatal, lifting him up. When the
light subsided he stood there not a single scratch on him.
"Thanks a lot. Is it my turn?" Fatal outstreched his hand, and his cane
appeared. "Pluto Transformation!" An eerie green glow came from all around
them. It closed in around the dark prince.
"Now let's see how you fare." He held his cane out in front of him.
"Molecular Reconstruction." His cane started changing shape. Taking the form
of his polearm. "Who's first?"
"Another time perhaps." Richard said reaching in to a small pouch at his
side. He pulled out a portal crystal, then opened the doorway. "Hasta
lobotomy." The soldiers all ran through, Fatal did not persue. He fell to the
ground holding his sides.
"That power of yours isn't that strong." He said, started to turn back
to his charred visage.
In the hotel room, the music was still playing when the portal opened
and the tired soldiers came through.
"After that, we deserve a vacation." Lita said reverting back to normal
and ploping onto a sofa. Maury sat down next to her and leaned back across
her lap.
"I agree." Richard said. "Anyone like amusment parks?"
"YES!" Serena said all too loudly. After everyone regained their
hearing, he continued.
"I could always get you guys some lifetime passes for one in Denver."
"We already got ours." Lynn smiled.
"But let's get out of here, too expensive to stay." Richard went over
to the CD player and put it in his bag. "You guys coming?"
Everyone looked at each other then went to their rooms and started
packing.
"We've got to find another household to stay at." Sun was helping Fatal
walk as they wandered towards a smaller palace, many miles away from their
previous home. "We need the time to recouperate."
"Then we shall strike back, and end their meaningless lives." His voice
had changed, it was more guteral now. "I just hope this house is strong
enough to help." They continued walking towards the hulking structure. The
symbol of one family was apparent.

Oh and an apology to Strike Fiss, I did change the name of one of the attacks
he created. It just sounded better to me.
