Our Car in Tokyo!

Here is our car that we are using in Tokyo. It is a Honda CR-V and it arrived on September 10th.
| Here is Robert testing out the new car. Remember that the driver sits on the right-hand side in Japan. |

We chose a wagon because we love our Honda Accord Wagon in California so much. This will give us lots of room to carry lots of baby stuff pretty soon… |
|
Here we are in front of our apartment. That's the other building across from us, behind the car. |

In Japan, many cars have a GPS Navigation System option. So being from hi-tech Silicon Valley, we decided we just had to get one to try it out. |
|
The GPS Navigation System is really cool. There are so many features. Here we have a 2-window view showing where we are, and where the major roads are. So now we can never get lost! Another great feature is that the system can calculate the best route between two points. Then a voice can also come on in addition to the graphics to TELL us where and when to turn! The system also tells us the estimated arrival time, and updates everything automatically as we drive! |

Besides the usual AM/FM radio, this system also has a TV tuner as well as the actual TV video signal! Of course, being well-designed, it shows the picture only when the car is NOT in motion, for safety purposes. |
|
Then when we click on the Open button, the display drops down and we can use the CD and cassette player as well. |
