Clair de Lune
A Quick Fanfic:
This is a quick fanfic written by me on a crappy day while waiting for Cat to get outta the
shower so I can call Shane. It's total spontaneity, totally made up as I go. Lets see what my
bored brain can come up with.
Snow Globe
"I hope Ranma like's the present I got him. It's hard shopping for a guy, especially that
stubborn pig." Akane sighed, wrapping the gift in a box.
"*Sigh* P-Chan, you're lucky. You don't have t shop for anybody," she scratched the
little brown piggy under his chin.
"There. Well, it took me until Christmas Eve, but I managed to find the perfect present
for Ranma. Lets just hope he likes it." She put a red bow on, the final touch, and stashed it
under her bed.
She then flopped down on the bed, P-Chan nuzzled under her arm, and drifted off to sleep,
remembering the first snow that fell. It was a very special day...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Good morning father, good morning Nabiki, good morning Mr. Saotome, good morning
Kasumi." Akane sat down at the table, and began eating her breakfast.
"Hey, what about me?" Ranma asked, sitting across the table from her.
"What about you?" Akane asked coyly.
"Oh, never mind. Hey, Akane, I got a surprise for you."
"Really? What is it?" a curious Akane asked.
"This!" Ranma threw a white ball at her.
She gasped as the cold ball hit her face with a big Splat! Snow and water dripped down
her face and onto her clothes. A snowball.
"Haha! You should see the look on your face!" he laughed.
"RANMA!!!" Akane yelled, shaking a wet fist at him. Then realisation set in. He threw a
snowball at her. Snow... which only meant...
"THE FIRST SNOW IS HERE!!" she yelled out loud. She scrambled up to her feet and ran out
the door, and was hit by a gust of wind. Everything was covered in a thick, sparkling, white
blanket of snow. Gentle snowflakes fell down lazily to the ground.
"Akane! Close the door! You're letting all the heat out! And get in here before you catch
a cold!" Kasumi said.
She slammed the door and dashed up the stairs into her room. She searched her closet for
her winter clothes. She put on layers of warm clothes and a thick winter coat. She slipped on her
mittens and hat, and wrapped a scarf around her neck, and in no time she was out the door into
the crisp cold air.
"Every year that girl is out there when the first snow arrives. I just don't get how she
can stand the cold." Kasumi sighed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I just LOVE the FIRST SNOW!" she shouted out to the world. She fell to the ground on her
back, legs and arms spread out wide open. She moved them up and down, making the first snow angel
of the season. She opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue, tasting the fresh snowflakes that
melted on her tongue as soon as they hit its warmth.
She formed a small snowball in her hands and dropped it in the snow, rolling it around in
the snow, watching as it grew bigger and bigger. She formed another ball and did the same, but
made this one not so big. She made a third ball, smaller than the previous ones. She put one on
top of the other, making a snowman. She stuck in branches for it's arms and stones for its eyes
and mouth. She asked Kasumi for a carrot and put it in the centre of the smallest ball for a
nose. She took off her scarf and wrapped it around the snowman's neck. She was about to place
more stones for buttons when Splat, a loosely packed snowball hit the back of her head.
She turned around only to be hit in the face by another snowball. She cleared the snow
from her face and saw Ranma, laughing and pointing at her.
"So, you wanna play? I'll play, too," she growled.
She gathered a handful of snow and threw it hard. It hit Ranma in the face. He
immediately stopped laughing. He reached down to make another snowball, when Akane threw another
one. It hit his behind.
She laughed at the big wet mark it left behind.
Splat!
She was hit in the stomach with another one.
Snowballs began flying everywhere in the Tendo backyard.
"Stop, stop! Truce! Truce!" a panting Ranma shouted.
"Ok, fine by me!" Akane replied.
The two, exhausted and wet, collapsed to the white ground, side by side.
"Let's make snow angels." Akane said. They managed to find a patch of undisturbed snow
and fell down, spreading wide. They made their angels and got up. They looked at their work. The
angels seemed to be holding hands. Akane smiled. She looked over at Ranma. He was smiling too. He
looked at her. They looked at each other. They leaned forward, slowly closing the gap between
them. Closer, closer... Ranma leaned down. Akane closed her eyes. Ranma's lips met Akane's,
stealing some of her warmth.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!" Ranma suddenly jerked away and screamed, dancing around like a
madman, or shall I say madwoman because the cold melting water transformed him into Ranma-chan.
She (or is it he?) was yanking at the back of his/her pants.
"That should cool you off!" Akane laughed. She had placed a handful of snow down his
pants. It was cold and running down his legs.
She laughed as she ran into the house.
She took off her boots and stripped her clothes off once in the bathroom. She ran hot
water and slipped in. The steaming heat went through her and warmed her.
"His lips... so soft... so warm. Oh, Ranma!" she whispered.
Once fully warmed and relaxed, she got out and got dressed. As she was leaving the room,
she saw a furious Ranma-chan waiting to use the hot water, and laughed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Squeeeeal! Squeeeeal!" a very distressed pig squealed.
Akane, who had fallen asleep, had rolled over and was crushing Ryoga.
"Huh? What? Oh, P-chan! I'm sorry!" She lifted the pig and brought it to her chest,
hugging it.
"Oh, P-chan! I had the best dream! I remembered the time Ranma kissed me..." Akane
trailed off.
The pig looked up at her, anger filling his eyes.
"Hahaha! Don't worry, P-chan! Just because I love Ranma doesn't mean I don't love you!
You're my favourite piggy!" she giggled.
"Well, it's almost time for dinner. I should give this to Ranma before supper." She got
up from her bed, fluffed her hair, and walked out the door, gift in hand.
As she closed her bedroom door, Ranma emerged from his room. In his hand he was carrying
a box tied with blue ribbon.
He cleared his throat. She fidgeted. They took a step towards each other.
"Um, here!" the both said as they thrust out their gifts. Ranma blushed, Akane smiled.
"You open it first. No, you first. OK, I'll go first. No, you," they said once again in
unison.
"How about we open them together?" Ranma suggested.
"Ok. Mine's not much, but I knew it would be special." Akane blushed.
"Mine to. I knew that this was a perfect gift for you."
They both carefully unwrapped their gifts. They both gasped, in partial shock.
Ranma held up his first. It was a crystal snow globe. Inside were two little figures, a
boy and a girl that looked just like himself and Akane, kissing in front of a snow man.
Akane held up hers. It was a crystal snow globe as well. Two figures, resembling Ranma
and herself, had made snow angels and were now admiring their work. The angels looked like they
were holding hands.
They looked at each other with tender eyes. They both knew those snow globes were made
just for them.
Ranma held Akane in his arms and leaned down. He kissed her. Her knees went weak at the
touch of his lips.
"Akane, Ranma, sup- Oh my!" Gendo said as he walked in on their undisturbed kiss.
He ran down the stairs, saying "What a merry Christmas indeed! Finally, my son has given
me a worthy gift! A daughter in-law!"
The End
Oh, BOY! My mind came up with nothing but SAP! Oh, well. I liked it.
