![]() Amazon The problem is that if you could barely read Japanese, navigation might be a problem. Knowing which author as well the author of the work would also be very useful. You will need a program that can read and type Japanese characters like Microsoft Global IME. You will also need to open a separate Amazon account in order to order stuff from here. Payment : Credit Card. One thing about this shop is that their shipping is quite high even though the prices of individual manga is lower than Bookmart. What's interesting about their shop is the fact that they also have a translation service available for some titles. They sell some magazines, and their on-line catalogue is quite comprehensive. However if you do not see the title you are looking for it's best to e-mail them at sales@aclimatesolution.com. Payment : Credit card. Another second hand book shop, also based in Japan. The best thing about this particular shop is the fact that they have a searchable database, complete with scanned covers. If you tend to buy things by its cover, this really help the buying process (ofcourse it also means you're completely shallow, but heck what does that have to do with anything). They also have interesting range of art book, unfortunately they don't stock very many of these, maybe one or two of the same thing. In short if you think you want it, just put it into your basket, you can always change your mind later. The shipping rate is slightly more than ekotoba, though they arrive at about the same time but I guess you can't have everything. Payment - Payment by credit card is accepted, one thing which makes it do darned convenient! After you have made your order, they will send you an e-mail to state whether the item is available or not before giving futher orders on how to pay with your credit card. Ekotoba Ekotoba is a Tokyo based business which works with Book Studio to sell second hand manga. Don't let the word "second hand" turn you off, the manga are usually in close to mint condition, and it is cheaper being half the price in shops. The shop is great if you are looking for out of stock old manga, and obscure authors, and it is cheaper if you buy in bulk. My suggestion is collect a few friends and make one large order. If you are interested contact them through e-mail at NDN_P3@po.jah.ne.jp. You might also want to look at their homepage above for shipping prices. The bad news is that they no longer ship orders to Australia due to problems involving payments. I have a feeling they're trying to supplement orders by selling same on-line. I'm more than a little annoyed about losing my favorite shop too. Payment - They don'y accept cheques because of the bank fees attached, and they preder to be paid in yen. They do accept International Money Order, but it cost quite a bit just to change the blasted thing into the currency, and then send it as a money order. If you want a shortcut, convert the money into yen then send it as registered mail, but don't do it if the order is big...too risky.
